I heard Messi saying he is excited by the challenge of the Europa Conference League
Well he did say he wanted to "challenge for titles" wherever he ended up and technically the Europa Conference League is a title. It's got the word "League" in it and if you cover your left eye and squint really hard with your right, it sort of makes it a "title". Sort of.

So clearly we've got this one in the bag.

I fully expect us to get knocked out by Larne. Give a few of my mates some solid ammunition to rub salt in the wound.

Apparently the word is that Paratici personally rang Messi's father after it was announced he'd be leaving Barcelona.

But then according to that link, the contract on the table from PSG for Messi is said to be for around £480k a week after tax so he's clearly not going to slum it on what we'd have probably paid him.

The third manager this has happened under. Really four, he was often left out under Mason too IIRC.
You're right. I think he started one game under Mason and that was it.

I don't know what it is with him. Everyone raves about his talent and how he could be world class if someone could get a tune out of him but he seems to blow hot and cold all the time. You would think at least having a kindly old Father Christmas as manager that he'd be more receptive to putting in the work.

I get the impression Nuno will not suffer his bullshit... or anyone who doesn't want to put a shift in.

I like that... alot.

Shape up or ship out fat-pants...!

I've said this many times both here in another dusty part of the Internet that doesn't exist anymore, but 100% effort is the absolute minimum you can give.

If you can't give that then you deserve fuck all...

There's a piece doing the rounds that claims that Nuno will push for Kane to be sold if he feels he truly wants to leave and won't be fully committed. It says he feels that the whole affair has derailed his preparations for the new season enough and he wants to focus on the players who do want to be there and that's good to hear.

Can't disagree with that...

Kane is a Spurs Hero and I don't actually think he has done anything to tarnish that yet...

Walking around sulking (wouldn't expect that) would be the most bitter pill to swallow though...

We're bigger than one player regardless of how good that player is...

We should only allow Kane to leave if he scores a hat trick against city on Sunday, let’s see how much he wants to move

For me, if this pans out, it comes across more as essentially formalising any such "gentleman's agreement" just to keep him happy.

It'll likely contain a buy-out clause as well that won't be beyond City's reach and it'll hopefully give Nuno a few months to build up a good head of steam then he'll leave in January.

I would put in his contract £150m buyout and can’t go until next summer. Help try to get us back in UCL, etc

He hated the physical training under Poch and, if stories are to be believed, it's a similar level of exertion under Nuno so he'll likely be hating that as well. Seems a shame as a lot of commentators all claim he's the most talented player at the club and could easily become world class.

Just seems like he has a bit of a shitty/lazy attitude I guess.

Seems that way @ClemFandango

He's a player that really should've existed in the 70's. A massive talent, but doesn't like working hard, and in today's game, that won't wash with any decent manager....even the cunt.

I'd say he'd love nothing more than to wash down his kebab with a few pints with his pre match meal.....and a couple of fags just to calm the nerves.

Its a pity he has that mentality. He has the potential to be a world class player imo....

Well we’ll lose plenty on that investment.

Lazy fat cunt can leave. Fuck him. All the talent in the world won’t compensate for a shitty attitude.

Fuck off. Bye.

He will know in himself that he has never achieved his potential and ultimately with himself down.

That'll rot you away

good - fuck off fat belly.

The team put a real shift in last Sunday and beat the league champions. They included a couple of young lads in Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga, who both worked their socks off and are probably earning a tenth of what NDombele earns.

See ya.

If you believe the rumour mill.... its today or never for Citeh.... I expect there to be a bid if that's the case, they want and need him and have just been seeing what we do and if our resolve weakens as the prospect of £150,000,000+ seemingly disappears.

I think if 150 mil arrives today then Levy will shove him out the door. Rumor is the first bid was nearer 100 mil. You can't be buying no big boats for 100 mil this economy. If it does happen, I'd ask for Laporte to be included. Laporte/Romero is pretty dang good first pairing. Could keep Rodon and Dier as cover and for home grown component. Then sign Vlahovic, and maybe make a run at McKennie if the rumors are true. What we do about Sissoko, N'Dombole, Lo Celso, Winks, Aurier, is another freaking matter. I only handle the easy stuff.

Kaveh Solhekol says Levy is not picking up the phone when City call, and when a Sky 'journalist' says something like that then you know it just has to be true.....

Thank fuck there are only 10 days left in this transfer window, I am pretty sure that Levy will be quite happy to take £149,999,999 at 11:50pm on the 31st of August, or Kane will stay. Either way we can get on with our Europa Conference League campaign (or not if we lose next week) without all this distraction. Players like Carter fucking Vickers, Winks, NDombele, Dele, Sissoko, Doherty, Dier and Sanchez can be the focus of our rage. Maybe not CCV, surely things won't get so desperate that we need to play him again?
