❌ Ceballos will not play for Betis, there is no agreement between clubs.

👀 All efforts focused on Gio Lo Celso, Cherki is not an option.

💰 Betis does not want to pay the 15M € that Tottenham is asking for and has offered 8M € fixed + variable for 80% ownership of the player.

Maybe this sort of thing happens all the time, but seems weird to me.

Underwhelmed by that window.
Solanke not top level or consistent. Made even more of an issue with Richarlison injury problems.
Steel lost in MF and not replaced. Gray and Bergval exciting but inexperienced. Bentancur still trying to get back to how he was. Sarr dipped a bit.
No decent back up keeper and I'm not convinced by our number one.
No CB signed leaving only 3 recognised in that position. Romero is a suspension waiting to happen and Vdv hammy prone.

Ange seems happy with it, in his latest interview. I would recommend listening, reading for his opinion.

We have scored 5 goals in 2 games. Last season was one of our highest scoring seasons in recent history, Solanke will help increase that number.

We don’t need steel in midfield as we usually have the bulk of possession. Gray is very experienced based on his age, 50+ plus appearances in the championship is nothing to be sniffed at.

Bergvhal will develop, Bentancor was excellent before his concussion so i dont worry about him. Sarr has not dropped, been super consistent.

Forsters is fine, Austin is better than what you think. Vicario is a top level keeper.

Gray, Davies and Spence can all play CB. So 6 players available. VDV has had one injury, I,would not call that ”prone’ to injury. Romero has received 2 red cards in 84 appearance. That’s not bad for an aggressive CB.

We now have a young squad ready to compete in all competitions without the dead wood bringing us down. Personally, this window has been really good.

i don’t see any players who have been transferred this window, who Spurs should have bid / would consider Spurs an option.

A good window would enable us to improve on 5th place. We will see.
Solanke is not a top 4 striker nor Vicario a keeper.

Vdv has had 2 long lay offs for hammy injuries so far totalling 132 days I think.

Vicario is better than David Raya. And Solanke scored more in the PL last season than any player in a top four team other than Haaland and Foden/Watkins (who he was level with on 19).

@Strikegold

what would have made this a successful window. Which players would you have liked to see come in?

I meant inconsistent across seasons, I think it's 3,6 and 19. It is common knowledge he has had issues.

Vicario is ranked 8th by football 365 based on multiple measurements, not just saves.
Solanke had a good season just gone but take a look at the two before.

Agree, what players would you have like to see transferred in?
I'm not in the know enough to assess who was available to us, but that's not the point, irrespective of limitations it was underwhelming for me.

Have we improved the squad if at all, but if so enough to get top 4 ?
