Marcos Senesi has reached a verbal agreement and will play for Tottenham.

The defender, sought after by several Premier League clubs, decided to accept that offer. Contract negotiations are underway for him to sign until June 2030

If true, goodbye Cuti.

Apparently Vuskovic is expected to sign a new deal and go back to Hamburg on loan for next season.

As much as I’d like to see him play for us it’s probably a smart move. He’s still only 19 so plenty of time for him to get more experience and we also give him his dream scenario of playing alongside his brother.

The kind of move that will (hopefully) make him want to honour that new deal when he comes back.

Who gives a fuck if it he wants to honor it or not. Shouldn't have signed the contract then, lad.

https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-transfers-brighton-baleba-van-hecke-verbruggen-b2983668.html

Roberto De Zerbi is hoping to raid his old club Brighton to charge up Tottenham Hotspur’s rebuild, with Carlos Baleba, Jan Paul van Hecke and Bart Verbruggen at the top of his transfer targets.

Tottenham are even considering a deal for John Stones in order to bring in some badly-needed leadership.

There is naturally an acceptance they may not get all of those, which is why Spurs are also looking at Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi, Liverpool’s Andy Robertson and Manchester City’s James Trafford.

Stones would come under stronger consideration if any of the main targets fall through but De Zerbi realises the need for that kind of leadership, which is also why Spurs have sustained interest in Robertson following his emotional departure from Liverpool.

I tend to agree with US... If he snaps his cruciates first game and never kicks a ball again... More fool us...

To be honest, he needs a bigger loan, he has killed it at that level and needs a season in the championship... There hell learn how to defend at 1000mph.

Van Hecke is a player i like. Him and VDV could be a great partnership and with the experience of Robertson on the left and probably Porro or Spence on the right, it's not a bad start.
We desperately need to spend big on a proper top goalscoring centre forward and a left sided attacker...Tel is simply not up to it.
I'd get rid of at least 8 this summer...
Tel
Romero
Bissouma
Muani
Vicario
Maddison
Bentancur
Richarlison

....and I'd be thinking of a few more tbh...
Big summer ahead!

Agree with most but just wondering why you'd get rid of Madd's & Bentancur?
When Bents returned from injury, we looked far more stable in midfield.
Madd's added more threat even with the little amount that he played.

Or is it that you want more of an upgrade to both?

Fair question, but i stand by it. Both if these players are not good enough if we want to get back to where we want to be.
Bentancur: A decent midfielder. Not dominant, not a ball winner, doesn't get goals and very little in terms of assists. Plays it safe all the time and has been consistently found wanting when up against the PL's top midfielders imo...
Madders: Great to see him back from a long lay off but there's a reason why no top sides came in for him at after Leicester went down. Our only competition was Newcastle....and he wanted London.
He's a "nice" player. Thats it. If i had the choice of Kulo or him as a 10, I'd choose Kulo every time. He disappears when the pressure's on because he's very limited...hence why NOBODY amongst the top 8 sides in the PL even considered buying him.
If we want players that are seriously going to lift us up to the level we want to be at then, for me, Bents and Madders will be nice to have on the bench.....but wouldn't want to be relying on them to turn up week in week out with top performances...that's what we need, and they're simply not capable imo...

I agree about the Bentancur assessment pre RDZ. After RDZ he was the complete opposite and the engine in deep midfield.

Agree that Bentancur made the difference on his return from injury and that he isn't good enough to be starting in a top 6 team every week.

We're not a top 6 club, so do with that what you will...

For me.I will start at the other end and it's easy... We start again, from scratch.

Solanke, Richie, Muani, Xavi, Tel should all be gone or talking to their agents. They're no where near the level needed to succeed or even stay in this league. We need to spend big money on good players.

Will Kulu ever play for us again? Maddison isn't the player he was at Leicester and to be honest that was a 2nd or 3rd choice pick because other players had jogged us on. We need much better ball players in AM.

Bergval is a kid and has done great but I think he needs better players round him to be effective and isn't a player who will drag a game in a direction himself... Yet.

Sarr is nice and tidy and can get round the pitch but he again lacks any real authority as a CM.

I think VDV is gone, he's very very good and could get in almost any side... I think a big Spanish Giant will sniff and he'll be gone. Shame as he's probably our only world class player, but if it gets us cash to fix all the problems we have so be it. Romero has been discussed and we'll use that cunts fee also.

We have decent CBs out on loan and they need assessing but they have to be better than Danso... How can anyone realistically look so uncomfortable on a football pitch and get to this level. Every time he gets the ball I think "it's make a wish" time... Look I appreciate he leaves it all out there and that he clearly doesn't go near our medical team, but he is not as some have suggested before in anyway shape or form... World class. He'd probably be awesome in the championship, maybe that was the plan all along...?

I like Djed, I like Poro and I like Destiny. We need cover for both fullbacks and I can see why Robertson makes sense... But if we buy some old knacker like him it shouldn't stop us getting a kid in as well.

Keepers is easy... Vic is mental and may as well not have feet and that causes our defence to shit a brick and not trust him and sit in too much alongside many other issues when you're scared your keeper can't be trusted... Kinky is steady and has real mental strength... Dunno if Austin is still here... Guess we need a back up keeper?

As others have said, where is the player pipeline? Where are the youth on our bench, even in the worst injury crisis I've ever seen, they weren't there. This is shambolic and if we're trying to just buy players we've shown we're also shit at that... We have to have these kids coming through.

Maybe what I've said above is too much for one summer when top players are at the world cup... But a serious club would have already addressed this and had those deals set up now... I don't think we are a serious club anymore... I think the criminal owner giving it to their nepo kids who haven't had a real challenge in their lives is the pinnacle of our problems and it's filtered down throughout the product...

Levy was a penny pinching cunt for sure, but he was better than the clowns we have right now... They've been hapless from the start and any club that burns through 3 managers while enduring an injury crisis and a relegation scrap is not being run right and I think it starts at the very top.

I don't see us getting any of the players we need, I expect RDZ will make us better but ultimately we'll be looking for someone else this time next season because he'll maybe have got us to 12th or 14th and no one will be happy with that really...

We're not getting a "war chest" we're probably still paying Mourinio off...!!!

Things are bad, and until we fix the rot at the centre of it all we'll never be fixed right...

Sarr seems to have peaked and I cannot see him get any better.

Romero
Sarr
Vicario
Richarlison
Dragusin
Muani

These are all players we could move on easily.
