The weird thing is that we have a squad that's both bloated and thin at the same time. So many players that need to be cleared out, yet so many holes that need to be filled, especially in CM and CB positions.

The rest who haven't been mentioned... Find new clubs lads, probably in seria A or the German 2nd flight because you're fucking garbage...
While yet again we prioritise free signings and value, the squads attacking prowess hasn't been addressed and without that happening we're gonna be in another relegation scrap because you need to score goals to win games...
I don't care if it's a world cup year and that poses it's own difficulty... We're fucked right now and inaction is just wasted time and lost opportunity...
Sell the useless cunts we can get money for and free up the wages... Then reinvest it and a shit boat load more in success...

We need Paul.... I don't mind Bentancur as a second option.. come in and spell a better starter, he is a solid player, but he's too negative, turns away from the opposition and play the safe pass back. In my opinion Sarr has more upside... at times he's better then Bents, he's more creative and I feel like he's scored way more goals than Bentancur... He wants to drive forward, and yes this does lead to bad passes or running into trouble... Bentancur is safer...
But we need an upgrade either way... if we keep either, id be happy if there bench players

Xavi= 200k per week Contract up 2030.
Solanke= 140k per wk ....2030
Tel = 90k per wk ....2030
Danso = 75k per wk...2030
Dragusin and Sarr contracts end 2030 too...
We'll do well do det rid of any of these. Who'd pay the wages and give us a decent fee ? They could all just dig their heels in with their arms folded and take the wage for the next 4 years if they want...

We won't, but I think we could sell Dragusin, Sarr, Tel and Danso. Xavi's damaged goods. Solanke, unless he was willing to go to Turkey or the Saudi league, is probably not reasonably salable.

Sell Vicario, Dragusin, Romero, Phillips (or loan to a competitive team where he will play early and often),Richy, Scarlett. Bissouma is out of contract. Good riddance.

RE: midfield, it’s being reported that this is an area RDZ wants to upgrade, which would likely mean moving on one of Bentancur or Sarr I’d guess. I don’t think Bergvall or Gray will go anywhere. I do think Gallagher, who was a curious transfer when we brought him in, can be a lot better than he was last season.
EDIT: Again, re: Xavi, it's an awkward one, because we have really nobody to play in his position, but he won't be available till probably mid-spring 2027. So do we spend big on a replacement?

The point i was making was if those players agents can't get a better wage (Dragusin, Solanke,Tel) for them elsewhere and being under contract for 4 more years, it might be a lot more of an issue to sell.

It is a big issue, like I said, because it means we're putting a lot of weight on Madders' shoulders if we don't bring anyone in. Now that I think of it, we can add Odobert to your list, because his contract runs to 2029. Doubt he makes what those others do but still another crocked player under long-term contract.
