More and more interest is coming from Turkey for Pape Matar Sarr, with both Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray reportedly monitoring the Spurs midfielder. Considering the rebuild Tottenham are facing, this might not be the worst scenario. Sarr is a talented player with potential, but strong interest from Turkey could give Spurs a chance to get a good fee for him.

I do like this statement from Gary Ward about Cuti

"Inter have held talks with Spurs over recent days, but the cost is very high. Barça is also interested."

Either Cuti or the Djedi - or both - could get a lot more expensive after tomorrow.

My thought at the moment is good ridance. But that is only because I am so disappointed that Argentinian players brought the politics in and showed their real feelings about the English but at the same time taking handsome wages from respective English clubs.

Gotta say he was great in that match. But sell his ass for nothing less than 70 to 80 mil. Otherwise, why bother? And please don't sell Spence. Makes no sense. I'd sell Udogie before Spence. Got a feeling the VDV is gonna be our left back going forward.

Rumours that we're in talks with Forest over a deal for Bergvall.

It's a bit of a dilemma in a way. Things obviously need to change as we've finished 17th two years in a row so we've got the "win now" manager in De Zerbi but do you sacrifice your future by selling the likes of Gray, Bergvall and, possibly, Spence (and Vuskovic) ??.

But then we've spent years buying youngsters and only have one trophy to show for it so is this new direction really the way to go either way ?.

That would be a very bad move IMO. At the rate we're going, I feel pretty sure most of them (and probably Moore) will be shown the door, though.

To be perfectly honest (and I know it's early days in the transfer window and we've already done lots of business) we're still miles off being able to compete for trophies, and that with a (brilliant) manager who has a track record of wearing out his welcome pretty quickly.

So I worry we're putting together a team to win now, that won't be quite good enough to do that, at the expense of players whose potential is better than the ones that will replace them.

Guess I'm just jaded, and obviously I'm complaining about something that hasn't happened yet, but I've been thinking about it a good bit. Hope it goes without saying I'll be delighted to be proven wrong.

Bergvall wants to go as he does not see a clear path into the team after we bought Tonali and Fernandes. De Zerbi has said he likes him but I guess he wants regular football.

As always, the board are pretty clueless and always knee jerk from one project to another without any regard for continuity and I guess they see De Zerbi and probably think we should just listen to this guy and create a team in the managers image. I guess you can't accuse them of not backing the manager but if this project goes wrong, then we are going to be so fucked, particularly if we sell Gray, Bergvall, Spence etc.

Fingers crossed it will all go smoothly......

Yeah .. I was hoping to see these kids grow into Tottenham Hotspur players.. But your right about it being De Zerbis team... the good thing about him being backed is there's one place to aim our adoration or our disgust at .. He's taking big swings so it should be obvious pretty quick what way it will go.. I'm excited to see what we got next season... COYS

In a different reality, if we didn't need De Zerbi to keep us up in exchange for a 5 year contract, we might have got Poch back. The likes of Bergvall, Spence, Gray, Moore, Udogie, Van de Ven probably even Tel could possibly thrive under him if he repeated what he did before.
