The Poll Tax demonstrations will seem like a Sunday afternoon picnic if the state visit goes ahead. I spoke to a group very sensible, mature teachers at the weekend and we have all agreed that we will coming up to London to demonstrate if this visit goes ahead. If several million people decide to amble about in the streets around Buckingham Palace then at least the nazi will not get a presidential style parade and will have to sneak in by helicopter.

I am not a fan of the monarchy, I don't get this feudal system of privilege based on birth, but, the Queen is a powerful symbol of what should be good and decent about our country, allowing a tyrant like this nazi to make political capitally granting him a state visit is appalling.
