Having slept on it over night, I realise these are indeed great times, we could finish third behind City and United and that is another great season under the circumstances. But we do need something or someone to turn the style of play or possession into real chances. Last night we had three shots on target, Watford had 5. Poch talks a lot about being brave, well we needed to see that against City, United and last night, possession is nothing in itself, I think we need quicker football and creativity from Dele, Son, Eriksen and Lamela to cut defences open.
It was very noticeable last night the number of little runs that Kane, Dele and Son made, where a ball over the top, to turn or get behind their defence might have worked. But the pass never came, instead it went sideways or back. Eriksen was also playing very deep to pick up the ball.
We have the core of a great team here, ok it lacks a little pace but as we saw in CL this year, we fear no-one and can compete against the best. It could be the World cup, tiredness, or as @skiathospurs says we may have lost our mojo a bit, who knows. It's also veey probably that in the past 3 years we've re set the bar. And now all of a sudden we expect to win evverything, well that ain't going to happen even if you're Man City or Real Madrid and that's probably why it hurts a bit more these days?
