I dont get the,puh KWP,Nkoudou,edwards should be playing,
not even in the squad,Lloris,kane,jan,aurier and dembele,winks,eriksen,sanchez only on the bench,exactly how many should we rest all 11?dier missed a game last time,dele missed 3 CL games,sissoko didnt start last game,neither did davies or trippier,Son has been a 50/50 starter and Rose hasnt played for a year,how much rest do you need for 2-3 million a year?
If we lose tonight,cant blame the lineup,and same goes on saturday for those who play tonight.You cant start thinking about Real 3 games ahead,you have to be able to win today and saturday after this,then start thinking about madrid.It is a mistake to have players who have to be in the line up for madrid without earning it in the next 2 games or in training,England suffer because the team picks itself,and its wrong,has been for 20 years with this golden era,no competition for places,no reason to excel.Winning is a habit,so is failure,enough of this not winning malarky,just keep winning!

True. I am happy with playing the odd fringe player or two in cup games but do not like it when we make 9 or 10 changes, ruins the continuity of the team and doesn't give the players coming in a chance to play in a settled side. (Not that we did that tonight) ...

...but probably having both Vertonghan and Sanchez resting tonight was just enough to push the pikeys over the line.

I'll be honest, I just want to win a fucking trophy! When we are actually winning other things every season, i.e. the prem, champs league, FA cups, etc, are we too good or big to bother with the league cup. Until that point I would be absolutely chuffed with a league cup trophy. The lads in our current squad need to win a trophy. It'll give them the edge and thirst to win more of them. Yes it is a fantastic achievement to get top 2 or 3 in the league but I would love to have a trophy at the end of this season to really cement ourselves as being up there and have something to show for the hard work! ANY trophy. Plus, momentum is everything - really wanted to see our current form continue and make Wembley another step closer to being our Home ground this season.

The boys better bounce back at the weekend and have something to prove after tonight otherwise resting Kane, etc, was a waste of time. Having said that the team that was out there was hardly full of kids, should've been more than enough to win - never mind the fact we were 2 up at the break!!

Missed it cos I was on my way home from sunny Spain, probably lucky that. I have always had the jitters when we lead 2-0 at half-time, I used to think we often got thumped when we went for our half-time pint and ciggies leading by two, I disproved that by researching and looking at facts, yeah I know that is frowned upon in the UK at the moment, but I still like to use a nice fact or two when I engage what is left of my brain cells, also not a populate thing to do, but ....

Oh well, I am sure that dropping out of the 'tinpot' cup will please lots of numpties, soccer fans and xG experts and I should be happy for them, but I hate the cunts so I am not.

I can only remember two other similar occasions - Against Man City under Keegan when they were down to 10 men, we let a 3-0 lead slip and lost 4-3 at home in Feb 2004 and Man United again 3-0 up and lost 5-3 to Beckham et al at home.

Anyway enough of that, happens to every club now and again, Chelsea vs Bradford City for example. let's move on.

Was watching the game and the complacency was so easy to spot, a good enough first half but West Ham were terrible in the first half. Second half we were lacklustre in our passing and lacked the kind of aggression usually seen by us under Poch. Although I hate to do it there is a bit of credit to be given to the Wet Spam players and Bilic as whatever he said at half time worked and the players look like they're backing their manager, but we should have never let that slip...... On to Manure next, how many times have we lost two in a row under Poch? Not many....

Don't have anything to say about the game itself, I'm just well annoyed we have let the easiest cup to win at this point of the season slip through our hands. It's all well and good talking about winning the league and champions league etc (I don't think either are beyond us) but you have to become winners by winning anything you can and getting the mentality.

I said a while ago we needed any cup this season to fully keep this team together and we've let ourselves down here against the pikeys of all teams.

we lacked a leader or two,dele or dier arent there yet,we take for granted not just ability but the will to push&win of eriksen&kane.I thought at half time the game was crying out for winks,we were too pedestrian even 2 up,and i had a sneakyy feeling if they got one it would be hard to get going again,so it was.

Jesus if ever it was a game of 2 halves that was it. Thought we were excellent 1st half. They couldn't string 2 passes together cos we hassled the life out of them. 2-0 should have been 3 or 4-0. They were just as bad in the 2nd half, problem was we were even worse. It was all about complacency imo.
