I know most of the key players in the first team squad have signed new longer term contracts and the positive spin on that is that they are committed to the club for the future. The obvious conspiracy theory is that it also means that Levy and the club are protecting their assets, should someone like Man City come calling with £175k a week for Danny Rose for example.

Actually out of the first XI who hasn't signed up to a new longer term deal?

I guess the next ones up are Toby Alderweireld and Heung-Min Son after Erik Lamela (whose contract runs out 30.06.2020)

Harrison, Winks, Lloris, Dier, Vertonghen, Walker-Peters, Rose, Clover, Edwards, Carter-Vickers, Onomah, Walker, Kane, Alli, Dembele, Wimmer, Eriksen have all signed in the last twelve months (more or less)

lamela I believe

Lamela signed a five-year deal when he joined Tottenham in summer 2013, although there is a clause in that contract that allows Spurs to extend it by a further two years.

Southampton have signed former Juventus and Barcelona defender Martin Caceres, 29, until the end of the season.

The free agent, who has 68 caps for Uruguay, left Serie A giants Juventus in the summer.

Probably mate yeah. I'd have thought we would have been interested in him to be honest. Guess not then..
He's 29, not our policy these days and Jan is back soon!!

You're probably right mate, it did seem a good move during the winter transfer window but I guess time will tell as we can now see him in action at the Dell. You watch, he'll turn out to be a right top draw merchant >.<

Yup....byeeeee.......:p:p:p

1 down , 2 to go....
Hang on a minute....players like Son and Lamela have had at least a season to get up to speed with the Premier League and Sissoko has been played out of position for most of his starts.

I'm not stupid enough to suggest he's had a good start, but I'd definitely see how he goes more centrally and offer him a bit more support at least for the moment, it's a good job we didn't treat Bale the same way isn't it?

AC Milan are targeting a move for unhappy Spurs midfielder Moussa Sissoko, 27.(Calciomercato, in Italian). He won't be missed in my book either.
If the price tag was 10 million no one would have batted an eyelid.

Non news, fake news, tiny hands.....

In Spaghetti land he'd probably be suffin special.

It's all up in the air I think. If we pay £6M per year and he leaves after one, then £6M isn't soo bad. He is probably the most unnatural footballer I have ever seen, the fact he plays for Spurs is incredible lol!

Still, I have no idea how this deal will work? Someone has to give fatty northerner £30M at some point.
