Stuck overnight in a pub in the darkest deepest recesses of Wiltshire where the idea that bt has a tv station was a bit of a shock to them!

Of all the games to miss! Absolutely buzzing, having watched them at the weekend, I knew we could do ‘em but you still need to go out there and deliver...so proud of the boys!

Sherwood is a commentator in SuperSport (south african satellite network) and is flat out saying that aside from Ronaldo, Modric, Ramos and Bale, Spurs have better players - player for player - and a deeper bench, and a class above manager.

Which tells me that he assumes no one is watching, and is insightful as it means he actually tries to hold his shite back a bit when he’s on MOTD.

I'm exhausted, such a brilliant night, no exaggeration, we could have had 5, thank fuck it wasn't West Ham ha ha. Nights like this are what supporting Spurs is all about.

He's magic you know.....

Wow, just fucking wow. We absolutely bossed them. Not having any of the shit about Madrid being off the boil at all. Bottom line is we forced them into that tonight. Outstanding performance all round.
Dele will get all the plaudits but Vertonghen must have had pockets in his shorts cos that's where he parked Ronaldo at the kick off.

Even though RM had more possession, we dictated that match. All by design.

Could have been much worse for RM.

So proud of our boys. They've been building to this for some time.

AND THERE'S MORE TO COME!!!

We certainly put a lot more pressure on them higher up the pitch so that they couldn't transition with any great fluency. Top performance, even my wife was impressed. Really impressed with Winks, such a mature performance.

Incredible night. Stuffing the champions of Europe and at Wembley of all places. The weirdest part about it was that it wasn't all that surprising.

Here's the view from Spain, in their own newspaper

Jesus who writes for them,moe??

Zidane's darkest night
Real Madrid hit rock bottom

The night of Real Madrid's debut at Wembley promised so much and yet it became one of the darkest in the recent history of the club, as they hit rock bottom after a hammering at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur....................................................................

They're famously brutal when things don't go well, some of the old forum kids would love it there.

On another note, Bale is more injured than not these days...if the chance ever came to have him back not sure I'd be 100% behind it...

Oh mousa dembele !!

DNlTtxQX4AIaEO3.jpg

Best part of the game! Hate that wanker! Dembele gets a booking for completely emptying ramos. Ramos gets a yellow for sarcasm later. Stupid cunt.

Anyway....

Unreal performance. To be honest I don't think we played out of our skin to get that result. We were brilliant no doubt but we have played as well as that alot recently, Liverpool for example. We just need that drive to become consistent in all games.

I think the main factor against a team like real is they are used to having the ball in the middle of the park. We had Alli, Eriksen and Kane defending from the front. Ramos and co are used to defending. Not being defended against. They just simply couldn't get the ball forward and if they did our second wave in Sissoko, winks and the full backs were all ready covering the ground.

All round great performance. Shoulda been 5 up with Allis mis timed header and sissokos air shot. No dramas there though as Vertonghen was like a Frigging wall! Man of the match for me. He was epic!

Coming out of this group at the top would show just how awesome we are and there is no team in the competition that is going to wanna play the mighty Spurs in the knockouts, and to be brutally honest I don't care who we get paired up with which says alot!

In a former CL life when we were paired in a group with the defending champions (Inter Milan) we beat them 3-1 at White Hart Lane on one of my favourite nights ever at the Lane. We got to the quarters then got done by Real Madrid 5-0 on aggregate. That team was good and had Pep been around he might more accurately have said the 'Gareth Bale team' but they were nothing like the team or manager we have now.....exciting times.

We might not have a cabinet overflowing with trophies but no club does nights like that quite like we do. The noise was incredible, videos and tv don't do it justice. Everyone played to their potential, no passengers on the pitch. Outstanding. COYS

No doubt. They were great times. We had some silky players.. Now we have skillful destroyers all over the park. Eriksen for instance. He takes no shit these days, and we are so athletic it's insane!

According to Deschamps, Lloris is out for 2 weeks due to groin injury.
Yet he soldiered on for the rest of the match. Says a lot about our new found steel & determination..
No longer a soft underbelly.

As @skiathospurs says, we'll also kick the shit out of you.

Definitely had his Duracells in last night, he was triffic. I was keeping my fingers crossed for Sissoko, but I just got sore fingers, he looks lost in our team, I still hope he improves, but he just doesn't seem to have any pace or confidence.

Sissoko can be powerful and make decent runs on the ball, but the passing game we play is to quick for him really. He keeps turning backwards and passing to the closest man. Near got us in trouble a couple of times yesterday. Overall though he covered the ground well and got in the way slowing them down. That air shot though......

His being big and disruptive plan did affect their tempo and build up last night and he was pretty scary when he ran at their defence. Subtle he ain't, I'm afraid he's still bench at best for the moment (assuming everyone fit)
