Brilliant. I'd add Poch as my General....he has the makings of a modern day Nicholson. I've heard, although it may be bullshit, that Levy is ready to break the wage cap. He will have to and we can afford it easily now with the TV deals.
Imo he has to sit everyone down at the end of this season and talk big boy sums. EVERYONE. We need a new structure one that will attract the best established and new stars to our club should the Poch want them.

Trouble is 'legend' is such an over used word these days. We have a Legends team that includes club legends like Mark Falcao, Darren Anderton, Tony Galvin etc. All 'great' players and servants to the club, but none were in Harry's division, not even same league, and similarly Harry has a long way to go to match, the great Jimmy Greaves or even Martin Chivers, but according to this measure is better than Glenn Hoddle.

So in the modern day I'd say 100% Yes Harry is a true Club legend, not just because of the records he holds at Spurs, but also the records for the Premier League, which has sort of defined a new Footballing era.

I suppose it depends on you definition of legend For me I like my legends to be Perrymanish or Kingly, obviously Nicholsonesque, he's got a long way to go before he can sit at that table.

It's probably unreasonable to expect him to be a one club man, that doesn't seem to happen these days and I expect he will move to Spain at some stage, hopefully not for many years. It would be nice if he stayed and became a legend in every way.

Either road up, he's magic innit?

i think he is with us til the end,his brother was with us in the pub "charlie kane,he's one of our own",little details like that connection make it harder for him to leave.

Loved the comment off the cuff to the camera following him on the pitch at the end,"you dont wanna give me two chances",just the right tone of confidence, arrogance, belief. You only become a legend when you stop,so lets revisit this point in about 9 years time, when he has smashed shearer and jimmys hauls, cos he will and aguero will just be a byline.

There was also a special programme on SKY last night, commemorating the achievement.

I also found it amazing that immediately after the game, when the rest of us were still bouncing off the ceiling, that they put a microphone in his hand in front of a TV screen and asked him to comment and analyse the penalties - He was as calm as you like, complete professional. Quite a contrast with Gazza after the 3-1 Scum Wembley win, who was full mental in an interview.

Fucking hell I've gone a bit emotional.....what a bloke.
Me too. The 3 doobries that stand out for me in that fantastic post are 2 that I knew already:

Harry Kane is a true professional and a mature, sensible, top bloke
So is the Poch

One thing that might upset lots of people:

"Then the manager was let go in the winter and Tim Sherwood took charge — and he gave me my chance."

But, but, but.... isn't Tim a lying cunt? I'm sure I read that.

Harry Kane is like the Johnny Wilkinson of round shaped football, a grafter who works his little doodahs off to get better and better.

Cheers for that mate, what a fantastic read!

The guy’s just so humble and appreciative of everything that comes his way and he deserves all the success that he’s achieved and long may it continue...for us...for a long time!

Like this vid, really shows how much respect he has for his teammates and they have for him.

Wouldn't it be awesome if he wore them Saturday and scored 101, 102 and 103!

I love seeing this but to use your phrasiology it's a bit kippers and custard init.

All I know is Harry is the real fucking deal in a world of football that is so technically and physiologically advanced to what we all measure our clubs success standards by.

There some fucking players in that list tho.

KANE TROLLED AT BRIT AWARDS

Spurs striker Harry Kane had the honour of presenting an award at the BRIT awards this week, alongside singer Camila Cabello.

But unfortunately for the Premier League’s top goal scorer, his introduction came by way of host, comedian and Arsenal fan Jack Whitehall, who just couldn’t resist the opportunity to troll the star.

‘Our next presenters are a pop superstar and a Tottenham striker, meaning the BRIT award he hands over tonight will probably be the only trophy he gets his hands on this season,’ Whitehall said.

The joke was met with mixed reaction.

No idea why Harry Kane is presenting a BRIT award, but crying with laughter at the presenter's comment that it will be the only trophy he gets his hands on this year

Dunno what Harry's reaction/response was to that but I believe Kendrick Lamar is a Spurs fan. At least he's been photographed in a Spurs shirt.

I know we don't need reminding but I was looking through some stats and thought 'why not?'

Harry Kane, now in his 4th full season in the Premiership is a phenomeomenmenum. Some numpties say he is in his 6th season of the PL but as he only played 5 minutes in 2013 and 498 minutes in 2014 they can be ignored.

His record in the UK Premier League Golden Boot competition is remarkable. When he goes on to win this year's top striker trophy he will equal the record of 3 on the bounce that Terry Henry and Alan Shearer achieved. I really think he is on target this season to beat the 31 goals (in a 38 game season) of Orange Ronnie and Shearer.

Golden Boot:

2015 21 goals, 2nd
2016 25 goals, 1st
2017 29 goals, 1st
2018 23 goals, 1st (so far)

His 87 MPG last season was, as I keep banging on about, truly fucking immense, when Ageuro stole the boot from Harry in 2015 his MPG was 95, miles behind Harry!

Hat-tricks? He has got 8 in the Premier league which places him 3rd in the list, but he is top of the list by percentage of games played, on average he gets 3 in 5.65% of the games he feature in, that is farking awesome!

Minutes Per Goal? If you discount Salah, which is reasonable as he has only played 2,500 minutes and at the moment is just a one season wonder, then Harry is second, only Ageuro has scored his goals in less minutes.

Goals Scored.? It will take some time for him to lead the premier League goals scored list obviously, but he only needs 10 more to overtake Emille Heskey and claim 20th spot - yeah that Heskey, honsetly !

Nice bloke? abso-fucking-lootley! He's one of our own.

There are exactly zero players in world football who I would swap for Kane.

I'm not saying he's the best player in the world right now.....but I'm also not saying that he isn't. The guy is a genuine freak.

Forget his goal scoring prowess, I wouldn't trade him for his work ethic & commitment to the team. He's a leader by example. Rare in today's world.

So this is good news then:
Tottenham Hotspur expect Harry Kane to be back in training next month and to return to action in about four weeks after a scan revealed the extent of the injury he suffered at Bournemouth on Sunday.

The club announced that “preliminary assessments have confirmed that Kane has damaged lateral ligaments in his right ankle.” The statement added: “He is expected to return to first-team training next month.”

It is the third time since the beginning of last season that the striker has suffered this injury. On the first occasion, when he went down at Sunderland in September 2016, he was out for seven weeks while on the second, which came against Millwall at White Hart Lane in March 2017, he was out for four weeks. Tottenham believe the latest set-back is more similar to the Millwall injury.

The update will reassure England fans who worried that Kane’s World Cup might be in jeopardy. However, it will rule him out of Gareth Southgate’s squad for this month’s friendlies against the Netherlands and Italy plus at least three Tottenham games – the FA Cup quarter-final at Swansea City on Saturday and the Premier League fixtures at Chelsea and Stoke City.

Tottenham face Manchester City at home on 14 April when, if all goes well, Kane could make his comeback. The FA Cup semi-finals are scheduled for 21-22 April.

So he'll miss the Swansea and Chelsea matches for sure. Pfft. We don't need him for our light work anyway.

Player in Training.
i think the injury update is as good as it gets really. best of a bad situation. Lig damage aint nice obviously could have been 10x worse and 10x longer. Poch is known for his peicemeal recovery processes with players, and i doubt we'l be seeing Kane in action in the Prem probably until May. That ankle is Harry's achilles heel. What has happened is shit but you gotta think big picture havnt ya. Thank ankle is gunna be weak, and its better to have him firing for next season, not to mention the world cup, than get him on early and risk a further tear. May might be a bit drastic actually, but i think hel be a doubt for the Man city game personally.

You're right... err wrong there.... which is it his ankle or his heel? I'm sure it's ankle and you're right, he won't be rushed back. I think the FA Cup final but not before then, maybe 6 goals against Leicester to win the golden boot and then the Cup final, that would work.

For those of us who are not experts in the science of anatomy, this very informative video tells us the the foot bone is connected to the leg bone, so I would say that we can extrapolate from this that the heel is indeed connected to the ankle even though it is not specifically mentioned in the work:

Well when I saw his ankle roll over after that challenge I wasn't sure that was true for Harry anymore.

So he is out for 4 weeks.

Who gives a toss? Seriously. It won't harm our season in the slightest.
