£28 million net spend, no signings in the summer. Does Pochettino know what he is doing? Said every pundit ever.....

He’s magic, you know COYS!!

Tottenham's Son Heung-min, speaking to BBC MOTD: "It's amazing. Our performance was very good and we deserved to win. It's an unbelievable night.

"We said it before - the first five minutes are so important. We played direct and scored an early goal.

"Afterwards we created a lot of chances. I need to be more clinical. I'm happy to get three points but I have to learn from this game. I was very sad when I didn't score.

"I love the fans, I love these team-mates and I enjoy every single moment. I went away a long time and I came back and didn't play very well. I felt very sorry but they supported me and I played good because of them and I'm very grateful for that."

Be prepared for a massive over reaction, I’m just back from the game and I’m delirious. We were fantastic tonight from minute 1 to minute 94.....we never gave them a moments peace, hugely impressive, every single player, we could, honestly have won by 5 or 6 and I’m not exaggerating. The fans didn’t stop, we sang the whole game, proper support, proper atmosphere, it was a complete performance from everyone associated with Spurs. We made Chelsea look shit. Check the comments from their own manager.

Tonight should celebrated long and hard. That’s my plan anyway. Two words-

Mauricio Pochettino (he’s magic you know)

Ps. Fuck off Jamie Carragher you know fuck all about Spurs and the character in this team

Brilliant, stunning performance.

Another masterclass in park level defending by Luiz as well. That guy is a massive, massive fraud.

Well worth the 4:15am alarm I woke up to here in Melbourne.

Bouncing. Off. The. Walls.

What a performance, so many really special performances. Only disappointment is that we didn’t utterly humiliate the Cunts!
I think we did.....just the score line didn’t reflect it. Honestly 6-1 wasn’t unreasonable and their ‘support’ were silent the whole match. We utterly dominated them, one of the best performances I’ve seen, tactically fantastic from Poch and all the players. Aurier stepped up in class today.

Such a great performance throughout the team.

Easy to forget that we only had one first choice defender on the pitch - and they say we have no squad depth.

All the 'expert' pundits have embarrassed themselves by trotting out the same the old crap once again. Too much to hope that they'll eat humble pie I suppose.

Yeah I meant the score line mate.

David Luiz played like the Harlem Globetrotters' opponents/stooges. It was like he was trying to make us look good.

Not that I want to take anything away from Spurs.

I need to watch the whole game again, first half was exhausting and seemed like it went on for hours........second half was just enjoyable, we took the piss out of them today.

Possession stats are interesting.....we only had 40% apparently and yet could have scored 7.....let’s play a bit quicker and more direct like that every week?

I just watched it again, it's been a long time since we put a team on the rack like that for 90 minutes, thrilling stuff. People are rightly pointing to Dele, Sonny, Harry, Eriksen, etc, who just ripped them apart, but I can only add that, watching it again, its the best performance from Dier that I can remember, maybe in a couple of years. He was massive in the middle of the park, and Sissoko continues to make me look like an idiot for writing him off.

As for the quicker/direct bit, I think you're right, and the Chavs played their part, they were an absolute shambles, just all over the place when we won the ball back. I told my boys after the second minute that we were going to win by a lot, we came flying out of the gate, and they were shellshocked. The Jorginho guy that everyone's been jizzing over this season touched the ball like 10 times in the first 30 minutes of the game. Just a brilliant performance.

I felt it was our best performance of the season.

Like others have said, we could have humiliated them by 6 or 7 which would have been just. ( I wish we did). And it would have been their first loss with a big Spurs asterisk.

Feeling great about the result & a big shout out to @Chavhater01 must be extra special for him.

Moussa Sissoko, Tottenham’s anarcho-syndicalist, many-limbed enigma, weaves Chelsea into his dizzying vortex of chaos

You beat me to it mate, i was just about to post this link as well, an absolutely brilliant assessment of our new enforcer. He still scares me senseless when he's in possession in and around our box but my God, he's turned into a beast of a player over the last couple of months. So pleased for him.

A 95 minute wet dream is what it was mate!

It was semi surreal watching it, i think in the most part we can all agree that we've not been anywhere near our best this season but we were simply sensational yesterday. We looked hungry and energised, almost like it was the first game of the season after a 2 month break, especially Alli, Sonny, Harry and i was so pleased to see Eriksen back to his best. To a man though, they were all fantastic. I'm sooo happy!!

Was also very surprised at how magnanimous my Chav mates were, there seems to be a healthy respect building there, which is nice. Certainly won't be reciprocated anytime soon.

He just looks calmer.... more assured that if he does pull a Sisoko someone will dig him out of a hole... I think the same could be said for Benoi...... I mean Sege...!

Unreal performance from everyone. We had a game plan. Stuck to it and dominated!

Alli and eriksen give us that bit extra. Big defensive runners who are lethal at unleashing attacks.

Sissoko again though. Unbelievable. That slide tackle was a thing of beauty. Humble pie for me.

How about this description?
Moussa Sissoko, on the other hand, is more like one of those video installation artists who films himself sitting naked in a chair in a disused warehouse, before getting up, very deliberately picking up a sledgehammer, and violently demolishing everything in sight, right down to the four walls around him, and then pressing himself tight up against the camera, a terrifying smile on his face, and whispering: “Free the animals.”
