Its up for debate this Summer according to Alasdair Gold
Its a pipe dream,he`s been playing championship level football standard,we are champions league final standard, who is he going to oust?Son,moura?we dont do wingers as such, but we do have wide midfielders working as auxillary strikers who work like fuck to press and defend .Doesnt sound much like Marcus, unless Poch has a change of philosophy.

Thats my side of the debate.

He has one year left on his Spurs contract but he just wants to keep playing first-team football now, wherever that takes him. “I definitely think I've got a better attitude now,” he says. “I'm just ready to kick on with my career. I think I needed this year. I know I'm a good player, I know I can do what I want to do. It has made me have a clear vision of what I want in football. I just want to get as high up to the top level as I can.”

Let's hope we (Poch) can see past the history and a potential bright future IF he has truly changed. He could be brilliant for us, if he's a team player.

i`d like to hear his coaches talk about him the same way he does himself!!Ugly side of the game is what Poch demands,i`m not convinced Marcus has that, the tracking back getting goalside, work off the ball when out of possession especially.Guess we will see in the next year or if we offer a new deal.No doubt he has talent going past people, but cant just do the things you like at work.

Well everyone else has had a chance....Skipp, Amos, Eyoma, Marsh, so that means to me that they've earned it. Edwards would have also got a chance had he done the same, in my view. So it's clearly down to him. His latest view (according to the article) is he wants to play first team football, so does that mean he's not prepared to wait at Spurs, or does he want a season at Brentford for example and hope to impress enough to be a memeber of the first team squad? Only poch and the coaching staff will know and we will as well soon enough, in fact on the 25th September most likely - League Cup third round.

Sooooo, this lad think he is a good enough player to earn a champions league medal.

He most definitely has a high opinion of himself or a low opinion of his potential team mates.

I'm not aware of the Madrid or Barcelona interest in him. Or the fact that Southgate is constantly relying on him to drag England out of the shit or making him take corners for some bizarre reason.

Our side is bigger that the collective of its sum parts, because of the way it works for one another and grafts as an absolute bare minimum.

This kid seems like a fucking typical wastrel who has had smoke blown up his arse inflating his ego beyond his talents. Taarabt part 2.

Probably in last chance saloon, I’d like it to work out for him but think it won’t.

Same,I really hope when he sits down with Poch that he has a "Kane epiphany",that working hard as person, attitude will take him to the top because he could with us,but only if he really listens, works and does what is asked in his play,in his ethic,in his relationships with coaches and team mates.
But this interview just sounds like soundbites with an underlying list of excuses,I`m misunderstood,i had a back injury,it was my first time,i was away from home.Truth is I think he believes he knows more than his peers because of his ability and so he never really buys in to what they are trying to teach him.Its sad because when he is 35 he will probably either still have a list of excuses why it didnt happen or it will have been someone elses fault. In my experience a team of eric diers and sissoko`s will wipe the floor with an XI of edwards and taraabt`s,a group with heart, application and a plan will always overcome maverick off the cuff do what you like individuals.

I hope we extend his contract and he gets time at a championship club playing,if they will have him!and there is the problem if he doesnt knuckle down.Lets not kid ourselves he played in a lower standard league for a cub that didnt use him too much and got relegated, probably the other 10 guys fault though.

In lower league clubs workrate is the number one factor. They dont have the best players, which is why they are in lower leagues.

Thrive or survive, it sorts the men from the boys.

A Brentford type environment would work well for him - Pritchard went there I think

He can piss off and take his inflated ego and non-existent work ethic with him.

If he was going to make it at Spurs, Pochettino would have given him an opportunity by now.

Absolute fraud and waste of space.

It's always a shame when someone with amazing natural talent can't be fucked and sees himself as bigger than the team, if only there was a way to transplant the HK gene into these young blokes. He might make it, but I doubt it.
