Transfer watch summer 2019

I know this is likely to be shite and this is exactly the reason why transfer rumours frustrate the life out me, but fuck, this would be a signing out of the very top draw.

Mate, in my opinion...and it is only my opinion but Dybala is the single most overrated player in Europe.

Where would he even fit into our team?

It's interesting, as some people have said, how much of this is trying to bluff/pressure Betis into not holding out for the full price they want, lest they end up not selling Lo Celso at all. Fuck we would have a potent and flexible front four though, so many different options.

Hell, I'd find a way... in my opinion his stock is a bit low since Ronaldo joined and been sidelined, in penalty and free kick duties.

If we could get Dybala for around that money we could have spent on Zaha... hah, yeah, that's a no brainer, at least for me.

I'd kind of see him as competition for Dele though. Second striker. Doing what Dele should be doing.

I would rather keep Eriksen than Dybala. Dybala really has that annoying face, which I just won't tolerate. Hopefully this really is to put pressure on Betis to get this done already. On the other hand, I can't fathom what's holding up the Sessegnon deal. The price is reasonable and he only wants to play for us. How is this not done? Let's be honest. If this were United or Chelsea, he would have been signed on day one for probably just about what we'll end up paying for him. Too much dicking about, and you know where that gets you. 🤔

We've got to believe that Ryan knows where he wants to go, and is being patient about it. He'll integrate over the course of the next six months. Two weeks ain't gonna make much difference.

But I want to see the photo as much as you do.

I just think he’s got a huge amount of potential and that Poch could be the man to unlock it.

In terms of where he fits in, it’s a good point but we need real quality to push the guys that currently hold down those 3 attacking mid positions, I think his passing is a step up from Sonny and Dele’s and has that ability to glide past players. I’m not sure he’s worth the £80 mill that is being talked about and it’s a lot of money on a likely squad player to start with but if we could get him for £50 mill then i’d say that that would be a great bit of business.

It’s probably all a load of bollocks and very much doubt we’ll get him anyway.

Wow if that's what was offered with no view to a permanent deal..... FML. I'd love to know a bit more about this deal. What wages is he on, who pays them, are there options at the end of the year?

Starting to get this feeling that either we’re done in terms of transfers or deadline day’s gonna be mental!

Seems things are warming up in transfer world if you believe the BBC Gossip pages.... Spmeone called Pepe has also signed for Arsenal from Lille for £72m, Dybala is going somewhere, maybe Unitedand Juve might be getting Pogba back after all. We won’t loan to KWP to anyone either, he’s still only 22.

We’re still banging on about Lo Celso who is apparently on holiday. Oh well we’ll see soon enough.

Who goes on holiday when you’re about to have an interview for a new job? Bloody footballers.

I’d be a bit worried about depth if no-one else is coming in, especially since we still lose a bunch to Europe after the domestic window closes.

I hope you’re wrong by about 2 first team players,

Read an article today, that suggested the GLC/Dybala transfers are dependent on Eriksen and Rose. Didn’t like the sound of that at all but then I remembered it’s probably utter bollocks. I’d be hugely disappointed if we don’t add a few more players coupled with keeping Eriksen and Rose.

I actually miss the insanity of deadline day for us. What I wouldn't give for a Poch interview through his car window.

So based on what I read in the media, so this is as good as an ITK, we’ve got no chance of getting Dybala. Firstly he’s now saying he wants to stay at Juve and with Cristian now likely to stay and sign a new contract, Daniel won’t be splashing that kind of cash. In fact i’m now fairly convinced we’re not gonna splash anymore cash with Toby, Danny and Cristian looking like they’ll be here for another year. I’ll be majorly pissed if we don’t add at least 1 or 2 more.

If Poch wants him, I would imagine he would go a nd speak to him as he did with Ndombele and convince him that CL football and Tottenham is the place to be. If that doesn't work or it's not what Poch wants then i'd imagine we would let it go. Levy has said two things this Summer consistently 1. (sometime ago) We have transfer funds (Ndombele) but we also need to sell to reinvest (additional signings) 2. (More recently) He will back the manager to improve the team, I am hopeful that he will, especially after the new shirt sponsorship deal and I'm guessing, new Stadium naming rights deal that will be announced onced he has screwed every last penny out of some corporation or other. I would imagine he could do with a sleeve sponsor as well? Get on with it Levy, stop trying to save a few quid here and there to the overall detriment of the team.

I can tell you for a fact that sometimes it's a game between these chairmans ego's. A long time ago (and I appreciate the game has moved on) Richard Thompson - loathed chairman of QPR at the time and Alan Sugar - held by some in the same regard at Spurs, had a bet over the price that could be achieved for the transfer of Les Ferdinand. Honestly they don't give much of fuck about the players and fans, unless it has a direct bearing on the value of their personal wealth and investment at their club. Hardly a shock eh?
