I was ecstatic to hear that David Luiz was holding out to force a move away from the Chavs! That i until I learned to was demanding a transfer to Arsenal. Is he kidding? Don't Arsenal have enough crap defenders already? What an ass.

Weakens both teams. Absolutely marvellous news.

Yes, I'm well excited, whether or not the Lo Celso deal comes off. I can't remember ever thinking--at the beginning of the season--that yeah, there's a chance. And not immediately chastising myself for thinking such shit. But this year....
This is me mate. If we get a good start, even 7-10 points from our first 4 games would be a good start IMO then we are in with a chance from the off with City and the Goons away already done.

I am about to propagate heresy, but I hope the gooners do well. We all know how hope can kill you; I want them to know it. I've tired of laughing at them recently, and I don't like them admitting that they're shite. I want them to think they're good, and going to get better. Then we stomp them twice, leave them behind in the league, and perhaps pick up a prospect or two that they fancy next year. Whilst sending them some of the dross from our academy the other way. Just to make it more painful.

This would be amazing! Seeing them get excited then completely deflated, I quite like it. Luiz and Mustafi at the back should be good for a laugh.

What I take from that is LLorente 9 is still available,as a free agent we can still sign him anytime, infact his twitter bio still shows him in spurs kit,as a spurs player,so dont discount him coming back.He recently posted pics of him training, not at hotspur way,but somewhere in spain I guess??not with a club he is joining btw.

I'd take him tbh. Struggled first season and settled last season I think the team knows that have to change the way they play when he's up front and not harry, we struggled with him the season before but can be useful when we need to be more direct.

It's not pretty but lumping balks into the box and telling, Son, Moura, Alli to stay close and pick up the second ball from Llorente is effective when needed.

I thought we played very well when Llorente was involved last season. I'd defo bring him back in. We can cover up front if Kanes injured as is but why bother if you can bring big Llorente on.

Looks like poor Norwich could be cannon fodder this season. Liverpool played pretty well but Norwich were so far behind. No quality in there at all. We'll apart from the Norn Irish full back. He actually looked quite handy.

Pukki was alright, took his goal well but otherwise yes, steep learning curve. Hope our lads were watching and take the same ruthless approach today

Not trying to get a tedious VAR debate started, but the Spammers game is pretty much VAR in a nutshell. Gets all the decisions right, fucks the game up.

Anyone wondering about the relative quality of the Premier leagues in England and Scotland should note that our own Jermaine Defoe scores a hatrick for Rangers against Hibernian...... I reckon that’s about mid table Championship level at best?

Yeah, I find it a little sad tbh, though obviously one suspects JD will be banging in goals in bursts as long as he wants to keep playing

Weird Chelsea team selection as well

United didn't even play that well (they could have easily been behind early on) but Chelsea were an absolute bin fire in their defensive third build-up and transition defending.

Yes. I thought the same about Arsenal, especially in the buildup. I lost count of how many times they turned the ball over on goal kicks. Can you imagine what the likes of us, City and Liverpool will do to them if they try to play that way? Admittedly Chelsea were without Kante, but still...
