Not even a two minute wait here at my polling place in Brooklyn. Everyone has been on line for hours for early voting. Glad my intuition was right! I almost always vote Democrat, but for the first time ever I blindly voted a straight Democratic ticket. I just can't justify put any republican in power at this point, since they may inevitably turn in to Trump's puppet. Just like that pathetic weasel Marco Rubio. What a spineless tiny-handed moron he's turned into. I hope this is a landslide but it's gonna be close and ugly and violent. Just hope the Dems are up for the fight, because the facist nut jobs most certainly are.

An American friend of mine just suggested to me that while it might be going a bit too far to say that the US might be on the verge of another civil war, it wouldn't be wrong to say that if it happened, it would be for essentially the same reason as the first time around.

Realistically 99% of Americans won't ever reach those dizzy heights no matter how hard they work. The odds are stacked against those without money regardless of your application, your, belief, desire or skill.

So, another question is does that American dream still exist.

And is it the pursuit of that dream at almost any cost what has turned people into selfish self interested wankers who will step over anyone they need to in order to get a taste of the cream?

Is it the American dream that is not compatible with a free and open modern democracy?
