This one made me laugh!
"Ousmane Dembele is ready to reject reported transfer interest from the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal after telling Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez that he wants to sign a new contract, according to Sport."

He refused to sign a new contract at Barcelona because he wanted more than the £287,000 per week he is currently on and Barca offered him less. So Spurs would have to pay the £100+ million AND pay him probably £300k a week, yeah right, I can see Levy reaching for his cheque book. Apparently the cunt demanded £700k a week!

It's been known for a while that Traore's price tag has been £20m. Just reading that our glorious leader (praise him) has apparently bid .. £15m.

This has, as you'd expect, been rejected.

I've said it a hundred times and I'll say it again, if Messi had ever been available for £20 quid, Levy would have bid £10.

With add-ons.

Happy to see Hugo re-up, but we need to start looking now for his successor and have them in place at least a season beforehand so they can learn from him.

He is raw, but the lad from Leeds isn't terrible... but you're 100% right.

I wonder what we have in the ressies/youth...?

I haven't personally heard of anyone in the youth team who's stood out, but I suppose we've got time.

But then if Hitchen is on the case, it'll probably be Eamonn Holmes.

Only a matter of time before we get Adama over the line and then we can see the back of Royal. Keep Doherty even though he is just as bad as back up.

Yeah but, no but, yeah but .... Doherty 2.0 the other night showed that he can do it, maybe the Leicester game was a blip, but I am not writing off Doh! erty just yet - even though I did write him off weeks ago and have been calling him the rude word for months.

Officially Traore is a cunt... until he becomes a yid and and then he is merely 1 poor game away from becoming a steaming pile of shit who Steve Hitchen Brough with back handers and reach rounds from Levy and other satanic worshiping cunts.

I think buying the ‘one trick pony’ Traore is madness - especially when the trick doesn’t always work. We’re paying €24m for a Wolves sub FFS. There must be a better alternative somewhere surely? But then again I know fuck all about football, I thought we were going to lose to Leicester,

It’ll be interesting to see if Doherty starts as a RWB today and has another good game.

It seems crazy, almost madness, but playing a player in his best position might actually mean he plays well !

I agree and let’s give Japhet a rest.

If you think about it, it’s a typically Spurs-y situation.

Sign an effective RWB (Doherty) and consistently play him as a RB and it doesn’t work because he struggles to adapt.

Our solution ?

Sign an effective RB (Royal) and consistently play him as a RWB and it doesn’t work because he struggles to adapt.

Can’t be any worse then Royal and even if he doesn’t nail down a starting position he is a great weapon to bring of the bench. Extra pace that we have been lacking:

Alli left out of today’s matchday squad. Apparently there’s a feeling he’ll get a move away before the window closes but it’ll be late, although no “appealing” offers for him have come in.

For a player apparently worth £100m some years ago, it’s a stark reminder of how far he’s fallen.

We’re also apparently pushing hard to push fatty out of the door to PSG as well with agents from both sides involved and seemingly talking today.

So could feasibly end up with just one coming in (Traore) and more than a few leaving. I’m sure Conte will be delighted..

I’m a massive fan of Dele and he’s beaten Chelsea for us home and away a few years ago, but todays ‘truth’ is plain and obvious, he’s seemingly lost that form, whether he hasn’t ‘trained on’ been played out of position, let other distractions get in the way or simply lost the managers love - it isn’t working.

My ideal would be he goes on loan to PSG - Poch nurtures him back to the player he was and more and then they both come back in say 2 years time and we conquer the world - just after Levy has left!!

Dream scenario

If Dele manages to reach the heights that he did with us at Newcastle then it will be one of the biggest comebacks I have seen since Downey Jr. Tanguy is up on my list of the most unprofessional players. I thought Paulinho and Chirices was bad but this guy takes the biscuit or a 100 biscuits!

Pace and power and the ability to beat anyone not in doubt for me. The problem has always been when he gets into advanced positions and finish....Lets call it as it is...he couldn't hit a bull's arse with a banjo.
If he's used as a wing back it might work well. Always thought Sissoko should have played there but we'll see.

Isn’t the point of a ‘wing back’ having the ability to effectively cross a ball? Like Trippier used to do to Kane etc. and Reguilon does well sometimes on the other side

Got another goal (nearly) yesterday. I think Conte knows what he wants and he knows what he is doing. he wants Traore and that will be good enough for me to support that decision and give he bloke some time to be beaten into the player Contes sees in him. I thought before and still do, that Traore will tie up 2 or 3 defenders giving Kane, Sonny and Little Lucas acres of space to pop goals in, his crosses don't even have to be that good, just get the ball inside and our super-strikers will finish it off.
