Jesus fucking Christ, we are hard work at times. It’s almost always self-inflicted though.

Stepped away at 4-2 & missed MU's 3rd goal. Can we ever make games easy on the supporters?!

I wish the sky pundits would understand we lose that game if we play any other way.
Right. The CBS pundits over here (Troy Deeney and some other guy) also don’t seem to understand. Difference between poor decision making, or just being too slow with the ball, and a bad system. Still, it’s a real failure of recruitment that Forster, who ought to be just the old wise head in the dressing room, is in this position.

Bingo. The moron brigade conveniently forget what we did to get 3-0 up. Obviously that style of play works best for us. Ange made the point after the game that even with 10 players out we score goals “for fun” and no other team in Europe can make the same claim.

At risk of repeating myself, this is a project. It’s not going to all click overnight.

Sometimes I think these ex-Liverpool and United players are scared about what we can do and they try and sabotage it my spinning these negatives threads #conspiracy

Good win and deserved i'd say. We played ourselves into a fucking nightmare fight for no bloody reason though. All just individual errors but fuck me.

One thing that's annoyed me here though is we are flogging Porro game in game out, play Spence on the wrong side yet we have Reggie sitting there doing fuck all. Look I get it Ange doesn't like him or whatever but you cannot sit and gurn about how few players we have and have someone of his calibre sitting there when everyone on the park is fucked. Play Spence on the right side and put Reggie in. Give Porro a breather.

Also why leave it so late to bring Johnson on. Same situation. Whole teams goosed but we don't change anything. Gotta try and go toe to toe with Liverpool at the weekend and everyone is wrecked.

One of those games. Pulling my hair out for the last half hour as we temporarily implode. Hard graft watching Spurs.

Dude I like Ange and I enjoy his style of play but we need to figure out how to give the players some freedom at the back. We pass it about and fuck around, never clear it and play ourselves into trouble time and time again. You can tell the players are scared of playing long because it isn't the Ange way. There's a time and a place for hoofing it and the players need to figure out when that is. I mean look at today. Keeper has thrown it in the net twice in 5 minutes and our next passage of play is a tight back pass to the keeper. It's frigging terrifying.

They’re bedding in a new system. It takes time but they will learn. It’s not about the way we play, it’s more about the decision making process. It will improve as the players start to make decisions for themselves as to when to play it a little bit safe. Both of the keeping errors were avoidable and had nothing to do with playing out from the back indiscriminately. Forster’s pass to Gray is made 99 times out if 100 by any half-decent 10 year old footballer. It’s a howler. The second mistake is worse but the pass back to Forster was fine and posed no danger. That is just a keeper who lacked awareness and was too slow to shift the ball.

Hearing a lot of the same people who said Vicario needed to be stronger claiming that our last goal was a foul.

Yeah, that’s fucked up.

Begvall barely touched the guy. VAR wouldn’t have overturned it.

Meanwhile Vic gets physically assaulted at every corner.

Amorim - "We were the better team v Spurs."

Anybody else disagree with him?
I watched the last 75 mins.
In that time, Spurs were far better building up a 3 - 0 lead.
Only Forster's howlers allowed it to become a contest.

Thought United were better for a lot of the first half, but not the second.

Sarr and Maddison suspended for the first leg against Liverpool.

We're at home to Newcastle on Saturday the 4th of January and Liverpool are at home to United on Sunday the 4th before the 1st leg on Tuesday the 7th.

Liverpool away to Bournemouth on Saturday the 1st of Feb and we're away to Brentford on Sunday the 2nd before the 2nd leg on Tuesday the 4th.

You'd hope by the second leg we'd have almost a full strength squad to call from though.

Yeah I get where you're coming from I just feel Ange needs to help with the decision making process as like I said the guys will not play long ever which is really dangerous. There were multiple times yesterday where I'm just screaming about clearing the lines and we're just handing United the ball, although to be fair United weren't that dangerous regardless, but others will be.

Anyway I take the blame for the close call as I was in the middle of praising Forster and asking the question about whether Vicario would even walk back into the number 1 slot and then he threw it in the net!

Another random thought - if we do get to the final, that'll mean we'll have knocked out City, United and Liverpool on the way to doing that which is some going.

If that's a "chicken badge" reference... I love it... If it's just a typo and my fucked up hungover head interpreted it as a witty pun... Even better.

Fuck me! That was all a bit mental, the waves of emotions watching us are just insane, it's draining!

Decent performances from most but happy for Spence, Biss, Gray and Solanke. Kulu just continues on his upward curve, although he does need to do a bit more defensively, as boring as it sounds. Utd are wank though, for all the money they’ve spunked, they still look incredibly average as a side. Bring on the Scousers, no idea what’s gonna happen though, at our best we can turn them over, just need to be on it mentally at the back, our attacking football tends to look after itself, against teams that afford us a bit of space.

This new chap has Liverpool well setup. I reckon we would have been better against Klopp Liverpool but we'll see what happens.

I'd also include Dragon Man. He's been a beast & taken his chance very well.

Honestly, based on what I've seen of Spence, I can't figure out why he hasn't played more. At times, while we're in possession but he's off the ball, he's been a little static at times & caught hiding. Other than that, he's done well.

Biss looked very good with the ball last night.

Almost certainly it will be because Djed isn’t doing something in training that Ange wants to see.

Ange is a no-nonsense manager despite his cracking Aussie sense of humour.
