So much focus on Serge, I mean, we should be used to a right back unable to cross a ball and prone to some mental brain farts!

Brilliant, great point well made, can we sell him for £60m?

Actually they've just done a mini analysis on him on MOTD, pointing out that the positives far outweigh the negatives. That's pissed on my firework then!

Serge is a bit of a mystery. His crossing and decision making is shite at times and then brilliance! While he's not the best, we certainly could do a lot worse. If he stays I think he'll be a better player next season. Oh, and Sanchez is really a gem. He is 21 years old and gets attacked week in and week in in the PL and CL and he's been nearly perfect. What will he be in 3 years' time? Probably a treble winner. COYS!

To be honest mate, I really don’t mind him. He does seem to take a lot of stick from our fan base, I do understand why, I mean he can look a little calamitous at times but he can be a real threat going forward with his pace, plus he’s strong and his defending while you do have your heart in your mouth at times, he can also make some great tackles.

I’d rely on Tripps more in a big game but as a back up, there’s not many better second string right backs out there.

I'm not sure who Poch prefers, Tripps for me because of his crossing ability, but he looked lacking against Sane. Danny Murphy feels Aurier is better because of his one on one ability at defending - his crosses will improve.

Nice problem to have I guess. Kyle walker peters will push both of them soon....maybe?

The thing I will say about Aurier is for all of the awful crosses he put in and the fact that he cannot take a throw in, not once did he hang his head. He kept pushing on and got some rewards for his attitude which today at least, was first class.

Lamela’s game was superb.

I really enjoyed Lamela's fancy footwork yesterday, I've been saying for years that I think he will something special and hopefully this season will the making of him. Considering how long he has been out and how little football he has played this season, he is looking really sharp. Sissoko was all-right in the short time he was on yesterday, a couple of nice touches. Aurier? Dunno, I think he might be trying too hard, he came with a reputation and he wants to show everyone that he is more than a crazy nutcase? He is definitely a good player and I'm not too worried about him. Sonny is flippin' fantastic at the moment, he moved up to 8th in the PL top strikers table yesterday, nice!

Yesterday showed how strong we are. The blokes were devastated after Wednesday and were frankly being ripped to pieces in the first quarter of the game, then Harry goes off, they could have crumbled, the old Spurs would have but they shifted up a gear and destroyed a very good Bournemouth side. A great win.

We are in a good place (apart from Harry's hopefully short-term injury),Lamella is coming back strong, Victor will get back to his beastly best, Toby is training again apparently, We have two potentially great players in Moura and Foyth. Definitely a strong enough squad for the FA Cup and to grab 2nd place. That would be a fantastic boost for us going home next season.

Yeh that's a great point, I'm hoping he can improve and if that attitude continues then I'm sure he will be fine. I didn't want to start a lets slag off the players thread, just a few things that have been building up over a period of time finally came out!

I’m happy with that! I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous after the sluggish start and Kane going off but a couple of the others really stepped up to once again show we aren’t a one man team.

Main positives - Lamela, Eriksen and Son. I thought Lamela did very well when he came on like he has done on the majority of occasions since his return - great squad player and such a superior option than Sissoko. Eriksen is simply a magician and Sonny really stepped up again and I loved his confidence and greediness when he went up top.

Negatives - Aurier needs to sit in on an under 12s training session for throw ins. I don’t think he was as bad as some make out, he didn’t have a good first half but there were several that didn’t - even Moussa looked out of sorts. Thought he did better second half minus a few shocking crosses. I’d say it’s 50/50 between him and Tripps as first choice. Rose however looks disinterested, unfit, gives away cheap fouls, can’t cross and looks like a miserable bastard. Again, Davies is still clearly first choice for me. Sanchez had a couple of iffy moments but didn’t look panicked after any errors which is great. He’s still so young and with Jan next to him I’m not worried.

Overall, fantastic result in a match that could’ve been a real banana skin regardless of what happened midweek. A really important 3 points and a confidence booster ahead of the FA cup quarters and Chelsea. Great stuff!

The first team all need a really good rest before Swansea. They're jaded after FA Cup replays. Champions League, Premier League etc. Yesterday was a really important win, give them a couple of days of feet up Poch, then we'll be refreshed to go and do the taffs.

The way I see it is exactly as MOTD put it. He is technically inferior to Trips. Trips has worked hard at the technical aspect of his game and is a good player.

Aurier is fast and strong and relies on that to getbhim out of trouble. Same as Walker before Poch got got hold of him, similar to Rose, Ben Davies...

Aurier could be a world beater as he has all the right tools... he needs to seriously work on his ability and psychological application... then he could be great.

I'd take it as a given that he would be striving to develop this side if his game, so hopefully thia time next year Man Citeh can pay us another 70 mill foe our 2nd best fullback.

There was more evidence of Dele's reputation, deserved or not, yesterday, There were 2 or 3 fouls that probably would have been given on him if he hadn't been the pantomime villain. I think he enjoys the attention he gets from opposition fans, I liked his earhole celebration yesterday, I was worried that he might get booked for an amusing gesture, phew! He has gone down too easily a few times and I don't like that, but I don't think it's anything to worry about, if it was the Poch would sort it out. He looks like he is getting his edge back?

I kinda get what ya saying...

I want this team to be a little more battle of the bridge in the run in...

I wanna see snarling teeth and spit (not Caragher style spit obvs) to show that we do give a real fuck about winning something.

*Edit...

I kinda take that as a given as that's the way I am, so this for me has to go up a few notches... a few more fucks thrown around and some serious agro when needed...

Basically I wanna see Victor punch the fuck out of.... let's go with Marcus Alonso at Chelsea for a start...

Can we save Alonso and start with Fabregas.....please, then Willian, then Hazard then Alonso....I'd like Dier to kick it off.

Loved Lamela. Could just see his wee face with a winners medal around his neck.

PS. I still rate the battle of the Bridge one of my favourite games of recent times. We kicked the shit clean out of those bastids. Loved it. @Yid Alonso is a bit of a left field pick to be first up for a kicking!!?? I'd go Fabregas first, middle and last and if I'd any energy left I'd have a go at Giroud. Although tbf he's a fanny. You could blow the fucker over.

I'd like to pick up Hazard by the ankles and windmill him around while spinning discus thrower style and taking out Fabregas and Willian plus anyone else in his way I'd also like him to be screaming 'LIKE THIS BITCHES?' when he does it.

The way I see it if you're going to get a ban you might as well make it worth it.

No mate, I'm not budging on Alonso first as he should have been in jail the slippery murderous cunt. Whoever comes next is totally your call.

Marcos Alonso should be in jail for the rest of his life, not playing professional football. As far as I am concerned he is a murderer. When you are drunk, driving 40 mph over the speed limit in wet conditions and you kill someone then you are not entitled to live a lavish life, earning millions playing football.

Fuck that guy.

Did I miss something with Alonso?

To give you the basic rundown, in 2011 Alonso was driving a car doing 70mph in a 30mph traffic zone. In wet conditions, he collided with a wall and the impact killed a 19 year old passenger. Oh yeah, he also blew 0.093 into a breathaliser.

The Spanish "legal system" fined him 61,000 Euros and suspended his license for 40 months. The Spanish legal system seems to go very easy on professional footballers. The whole episode disgusts me. In my country he would have been locked away for years.

Nice victory & 3 points.

Worried about Kane.
He didn't look in too much discomfort but was limping & went straight off.
Usually means more severe ligament damage.

Hopefully that's not the case.

I played on for 25 minutes after a challenge, walked off at half time and was out with ligament tears on both sides of my ankle for over two months.

Yep, but it can go both ways. I had the opposite experience....I was brought down, couldn't put any weight on my leg at all and was carried off. My ankle swelled up like a balloon and I was on crutches for a few days. I played the next week and had no further problems with it.

Ankle injuries are very difficult to get a handle on.

Yes, I've had stuff like that with other injuries - you really don't know until a few days after.
