Goons_V_Spurs.jpg

After a couple of tough games, a nice easy Sunday afternoon game. We will obviously win this 4-0, so the probabilities calculated by my machine are just daft, just for a laugh they are: Goons 39%, Draw 26%, Spurs win 35%.

195 Meetings - Arsenal have played Tottenham Hotspur 195 times in all competitions. Arsenal have won 81 lost 63 and drew 51 matches.

First Match - Their first match was in the United League on Monday, 9 November 1896. Tottenham Hotspur were playing at home that day and the final score was Arsenal ( Woolwich Arsenal ) 2 Tottenham Hotspur 1 .

Last Match - The latest meeting between these two teams was a Premier League game on Saturday, 10 February 2018, the score was Tottenham Hotspur 1 Arsenal 0.

Highest Goals in Game - 9 - Premier League, Saturday, 13 November 2004, Tottenham Hotspur 4 Arsenal 5

dont like this dial square mob at all, didnt like them when they had the woolwich prefix, now i just fucking hate arsenal.
If we beat them, its a huge setback for them, almost crushingly in their top 4 ambitions psyche. If we lose pah, level points after their incredible run of not being beaten by bunches of farmers, league one sides in the cup and no one in the top half of the table and we have them to come to our place and we know how that ends up.Its like a free hit,and really no bias man for man we have the better personnel, even Levy is better than Kroneke.Fuck arsenal.

We don't need an escort, it's only the Scum..... trouble is tickets are like rocking horse and I haven't got one.
So from the comfort of my sofa I expect us to go an batter them in a controlled Sir Poch type of way. We seem to have slightly abandoned the always pass it sideways and back mantra for the moment, Hugo is kicking long much more often and we only had 40% possesion against Chelsea and could have scored 7, easily. I doubt we'll get 7, three or four maybe if we're on our game. we ended Chelsea's run, now time to do the same to Arsenal. They probably won't get back from Siberia until Monday anyway......

Vertonghen in for Foyth, keep everyone else the same as Chelsea, Aurier stay calm, same energy and performance and we win 4-1, Kane x 2, Dele x 1, Son x 1, Hugo own goal. Just win lads, just win. good luck.

Simply winning this match will not be enough. We must destroy them. Embarrass them. Crush their spirit. Humiliate their supporters. Spill excessive amounts of food about thier stadium. I think they are a fraud. We must expose them as such and not let them ever believe they are in our class. 0-2 to the Mighty Spurs!

Well, they didn't take many regulars to Kiev tonight, but the ones that are there are absolutely freezing their balls off. To me this is one of the most exciting NLDs in a long time, though I think our squad is quite a bit better than them over 38 games, and they'll fancy the Europa League over top 4 IMO. If we match the performances in the last two games we'll batter them.

I feel like we have the quality to ruin them but to be honest they are a complete unknown to me now, they've become so insignificant in the recent past so I fancy an early lead 2-0 then we will tire (it's simply got to happen at some point) with us holding on for the win and glorious sunday and me hunting out gooners at work monday :) I notice they are harder to find these days unlike the Chelsea fans I spent monday laughing at!

Having got within a late Chelsea goal of correctly predicting the score in last week's match day thread. I can confidently tell you good Yid people that we will win this game 4-1 and embarrass these oxygen stealing pricks in front of their own.

It's going to be a beautiful thing.

I feel a little more cautious about this game than you lads. I remember going into this fixture last season thinking we’d roll them over, especially after we’d destroyed Madrid but we just didn’t show up at all.

There’s no doubting in my mind that we’re the better team but they’ve got some dangerous players. We just need to show the same intensity we’ve shown of late and we’ll be fine.

This is it mate. gotta be 100% focused on the game tomorrow. We're better than them but that's not always what counts in the derby. Play with the levels of competitiveness we did against Chelsea and get the tactics right and we'll do this. Keeping Aubameyang quite or his supply quite would go along way to winning the game to be honest.

I’m already nervous, want to win this so badly and complete a brilliant week. Looking at the teams on paper we’re better than them, but that doesn’t win the game, gonna be about Poch being tactically superior and the players commitment for 95 mins. Plus the unknown - Mike Dean. COYS

If we play with the intensity and mentality of the Chelsea game we'll win this. We need to be more clinical in this one though.

I'll be knee deep in the best Guinness in the world (this is not an exaggeration it's better than the Guinness factory) soon enough so if I see a gooner I'll be sure to let him know.... WE HAVE SISSOKO!

Apologies for the in game comments, I’m overwhelmwd with the emotion of it all. To be 2-1 in front after that start, can’t believe it, outstanding character and belief whether we go on to win lose or draw. Love this team.

How’s that mug trying it on with Davies after the penalty was awarded and brute Sissoko coming straight in and ending it. Gold.

Getting are arses handed to us now. We have been pretty poor in all truth.

Well 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.....said Meatloaf. In truth we were second best today except for about 20 mins. We were tired I think and gifted them a couple of goals which didn’t help. Foyth, Aurier are young and will have better games, so will some of the others including Jan. and Sissoko the beast wasn’t on it. We’re better than them, just not today.

Nah, they were excellent. We were rattled and misplacing a few passes but that's due to them playing very well.

Best team won today.

We dont have enough through the middle creatively with Dier and Sisoko. We couldn't go at them enough which invited them into us imo.

Our full backs are not good enough imo. They're a step below Toby and Verts and let the side down figuratively speaking.

That was a great result for them and a hit of a wake up call for us... we've got more than enough to deal with that side but they wanted it more and had much more energy than us today.

Gutted.

Agree with all of this. I thought we (manager & players) didn't respond to the changes they made at halftime, and as you say, they were well up for it. Kind of like our energy and drive made Chelsea look so bad last week.

It wasn't quite as bad as the corresponding fixture last year, but I can't say they weren't value for it. Don't know if that makes it worse or easier to swallow.
