Got one for you lads.

'only the brave'

About a team of firefighters that specialise in wild fires. Fucking brilliant.

Also watched Stronger about the Boston bomb victim. Pretty much what you would imagine really a guy finding it tough after amputation. Couple of excellent scenes though about things that pushed him forward.

That the one with josh Brolin in it mate??
Yeah is indeed. Very very good film. It's a real shame cinemas don't seem to have picked it up. In fact it's tragic. Some of the shite in cinemas at the minute and this true story of a bunch of legends gets overlooked.

Started watching this programme called Peaky Blinders. Anyone heard of it?

Only messing I'm always late to the tele programme party.

Just finished season 2. Great show apart from Sam Neill murdering my accent! It's so bad. Guy looks like he needs a shit really bad he's trying so hard to make the words come out.

Heard there they are talking about Cillian murphy as the next bond... No thanks.

......and the Academy Award for Best film goes to..........fucking nonsense, that's not the name of the winner it's an opinion. Shape of water won and also got best Director.

We won best actor starring in a Proper film - Gary Oldman, Darkest Hour (very excellent)
and Frances McDormand won best Actress for 3 Billboards etc. (very very excellent)

The rest was mostly stuff and nonsense, Helen Mirren had a shot of tequila on the red carpet, that was good, but she does like a bit of the limelight, that Helen.

Anchovies.

Fucking luvvies patting each other on the back as if they do a proper job. I will watch an award show when it is for the best nurse, most helpful copper, bravest fireman or hero paramedic, sweepiest road sweeper, bog attendant with the cleanest bogs, delivery man who bothers ringing the doorbell - not a bunch of people who do pretending and playacting for a living, earn millions and think their opinions are interesting. The Oscar for Silent Child though, that was a good'un, as for the rest? Anchovies.

'pretending for a living....'brilliant.

I didn't watch it, just heard on the wireless this morning. Do enjoy a good film though, love some of these people who are good at pretending and love a good nurse as well. Those footballers get paid a lot for kicking a ball around don't they? and those city boys they don't actually do or make anything, not even entertainment and they get millions for it.

Cunts, all of them. Nobody ever gives me an award, the cunts. I am not bitter or jealous of course, I don't what their stupid awards they can shove them up their bottomholes, I'd only have to dust the fucker, then I'd probably knock it off the shelf, destroying one of Mrs D's favourite ornaments or her best coffee mug - again, then she;d give me that look, the one that can kill a charging Rhino at 200 yards, stone dead. Fucking stupid awards.

I'm glad Gary Oldman picked up an award. I thought his performance in Darkest Hour was fantastic.

Just finished watching the first season of Damnation on Netflix. I thought it was pretty good. But that may just be because there has been a lack of decent new series' on Netflix for a while!

@conor1 What are your thoughts on Seven Seconds so far? Worth a watch?

Had a look at the first episode of Designated Survivor last night. The premise is great, although I am not sure that Keifer can pull it off.

Anybody watched this?

I haven't seen the work of cinematography yet, so I am confused. Is this chap a cod who has sexual intercourse, or is he one of those frightful fish-fiddlers one reads about in the newspapers? I do believe I may gave this film a miss, as neither of those alternatives appeal much to me.

Yes, I think that is what is in the back of my mind. And I think that is why Keifer Sutherland, as much as I rate the guy, seems to be an odd casting choice.

ozark and mindhunter both very good, and something different a slow paced western revenge story, nice cinematography is "godspell" mini series worth the few hours&7 episodes.

Ozark is due to release in July. Laura Linney lives in my hood and when I see her I'm always tempted to accost her and ask her for spoilers but I resist. Hope season 2 is up to it because this show has huge potential. I'm sure everyone has seen Narcos, but if you haven't seasons 1 and 2 are magic, and 3 is pretty good too.
