Fair play to Kane.

I'll not forget him trying to get a sneaky move to City and then refusing to train once it didn't happen. 95% of our fanbase seem to have forgotten.
I haven't forgotten, but life's too short and all that. To tell the truth there have really only been a few players who I've really begrudged a move over the long term, and none all that recently.

Personally I feel that all in all, in today's world, having a player of his quality staying loyal to a club that continuously broke promises to him just doesn't happen.
After one broken word, a top player would be off....Harry was carrying the club on his back for years and time after time he watched Levy close the wallet when the opposite was discussed.
Yet he stayed professional and loyal despite this...

When you keep getting kicked on the balls year after year you start to realise that others are using you for their own ends...like Levy did. That refusal to train was against Levy, not the club. He absolutely deserved the move. It's not as if he didn't give it time !?! ...He wanted to win things at Spurs, but had bosses who wanted success off the pitch first and that must have been a huge source of frustration for him.

I'd have him back in a heartbeat...l

@USspur On reflection I was slightly out of order last night.

Apologies, although I still don't agree with you on Kane.
Well said Sir ... glad to see we can all disagree (hopefully sometimes agree) and we can all be overreative , which is the fun of sites like this .... I'm impressed that you apologized, Apologies are rarely seen/said nowadays.
Keep posting as it's entertaining and it would suck if we all agreed on everything.
Cheers

Well said @Dave. There was plenty more to the story than just "he refused to play / train". We have to approach these scenarios with as much context as possible. And it's rare to ever have the full story from behind closed doors.

The patience that Harry exhibited was more than most would endure. Spurs was his club & he wanted it to succeed but with promise after promise being broken, him wanting to leave, I'd don't hold that against him.

Well done to those that chose to 'play nice'.
