BTW Chiellini said somethings reported that appeared to slag spurs a bit, history of winning etc,the english press in their fairness and unxenophobic way forgot to include these quotes from the same interview

‘Tottenham proved to be a great team. I think they are missing very little in becoming one of the best teams in Europe. A few years ago we were in the same place’.

That was what was a bit disapointing, that we didnt go full "kick chelsea scum mode".
Lol. I was just thinking that today mate. I still rate the battle of the bridge as the game in which we no longer became pushovers. In a perverse sort of way that game is one that will forever stick in my mind as a good memory.

The last bit is key IMO. I know there's always a sense of urgency with this group due to fears of players leaving, etc., but we (and Poch and the players) always talk about learning, and I think, unfortunately, that losing like we did on Wednesday is about the only way to learn.

Dont forget they were relegated and started again after match fixing demotion at a time both milan clubs wielded the power.
To win things you need to do or have at least one of luck and/or take opportunities. The latter we didnt and they did,you want to win things in big moments you take something whether deserved or not.I am sure Son and Kane would agree they wish they had converted one or two of the opportunities and that should spur them on next time for sure.Kane being how and who he is must think christ sake shake off chiellini, round one of the best keepers of all time i had to roll it into the empty goal.Thats not being harsh or critical of the lads, just what they need to be able to do next time, bournemouth, swansea in the cup or whenever.Of course you are never going convert all chances, but key times in key matches you have to be able to make things go for yourself.Same with in 3 mins falling asleep and conceding 2 goals.Such small margins and such big differences at the end.
Ultimatly nothing but proud of how the team has been in europe, more experience gained and lets now make sure we are there again next season AT HOME!!

Kanes silence is telling imo.

He's gutted and probably wished he'd have done more.

Need to learn from the game and move on. Otherwise we will start sounding like Scousers! Let's have a laugh at West Ham instead.

We go above Liverpoo tomorrow on the same number of games if we beat Bournemouth.
