Now that we've all had enough time to get chonged and reflect on the game I've gotta say, what a crok of shit, a load of bollocks it was. Those niggly little fouls throughout the game completely prevented us from getting into our full rhythm and they took advantage of the only two chances they got, Thought we deserved more than just the draw away, and should have had more from the game today too. Some of the tackles on Son today where shocking too, fair play he kept at it but they all add up and their was at least one straight red for the stamp on Son.. Fucking Cunts!!!!

It’s not harsh mate, bottom line is, we’re a far superior team to them, maybe far’s a bit harsh but the point is we should’ve beaten them, over there was a fantastic result but we weren’t clinical enough and we switched off tonight, when it was clear they had taken a mini grip on the game. Even for their 1st goal Higuian ghosted in with players around him ball watching.
I’m nit picking but as a club we’re in a huge moment of potential and excitement but also we’re very vulnerable to the vultures that will inevitably be circling around unless we start to win these types of games, that’s why it’s so frustrating, we just can’t get that break.
All these cliches about how Juventus had too much nous for us, I get that argument but we just switched off at crucial times, that’s just a lack of concentration at crucial times, we were in such total domination of the game, that I think maybe we just got complacent. I know with more of these games we’ll be more savvy but these boys have been together for 3 years, they need to understand how good they are and that excuses will run out soon.
Maybe i’m taking bollocks and we were just unlucky and it wasn’t our night and our great run was bound to come to an end at some point but it just seems we throw these types of games away, especially when we were clearly the better team.
Anyway, I’m done...just sheer frustration!

I'm just back from Wembley, difficult to work it all out in real time from row 2 of the Upper tier, you can't see how nasty some of the tackles were for example. Seemed to me and those around me, that we were far the better team and just got caught twice in quick succession. At the same time we needed to take one or two more chances. It's all a kick in the teeth really after a superb performance against one of Europes really top sides. Just so disappointing.
I haven't watched the game on TV yet, but in the car on the way back from the station I got really fucking angry with some wankers who were phoning in to that twat Jason Cundy's talk show. These arm chair Spurs experts were saying that Poch doesn't have a clue, completely missing the point that the clueless Poch has finished 2nd and Third in the league in the last 2 years and got us into the Champions League in the first place, beating Real Madrid, Dortmund and drawing 2-2 away at Juventus. You can add these Cunts to the list, don't care if they call themselves Spurs fans, they fuck me right off.
Need to learn from this and bounce back on Sunday. Good luck lads, great effort tonight.

The atmosphere seemed amazing. Must have been a treat. I can say that the fouls seemed pretty awful on TV as well. My only real criticism of Poch--and the team--was that we got caught with a ridiculously high line (and completely uneven) when all we needed to do was defend. Otherwise the effort was great. I even thought Poch's changes were fine. Just couldn't get the ball over the line. We can't play the next match soon enough. Proud of the team but it hurts.

I've just watched most of the game, and have to say that most of the analysis from Ferdinand, Lampard and Gerrard seemed pretty fair to me. They were very praiseworthy of Spurs, called the Allegri tactical change and summed up that Juve's experience won through in the end.
I didn't appreciate just how many world class players Juve have. However disappointing and gut wrenching it feels right now, we can be proud that we ran one of Europes very top teams ragged for almost all of three hours of high quality football. If we can keep this squad together we will win things. I'm proud of what we did against Juve. 4 years ago Madrid embarrassed us, not that Spurs any more.

As much as tonight’s result hurts, it’s been a great journey in the ECL this season. Perhaps if we had got Sevilla, Basel or Porto in this round the journey may have continued. It was a tough draw for us, considering we won the “group of death”. We showed Europe’s elite that we can compete and beat the best., and sometimes are ability to be clinical in front of goal is our downfall.

When I was watching it I couldn't believe that Trippier didn't track his run. As soon as Higuain pulled into the central channel and took Sanchez with him, you have to go with him and not rely on an offside call.

Just got home a little while ago.
Certainly disappointed with the result.
But we took a Euro giant by the leg & started windmill slamming him ragged for 165 of the 180 mins we played them over two legs.. That's impressive but obviously not enough.
We actually played the game as it should be played.: with passion & flair. We played on the front foot & made it look easy at times. None of this negative tactics & win at any cost mentality Mourinho preaches & is in the DNA of Italy.
MP has said this is a process.. A learning experience & this is simply another lesson (rather harsh feeling at this time). We've had a number of them since MP arrived & we've grown from them each time. Tonight we were beaten by a more experienced side that hung on (barely),would bide its time & pick it's moment (actually 3 mins).
And I've got to commend Allegri for his changes. They greatly influenced the outcome.
After an hour, he saw enough of what wasn't working, had a hunch that he could stretch us with more width & it worked.
I wonder if the Spurs players thought the game was in the bag up to the hour mark. Juve showed little else other than fatigue & flagrant fouls. We were bossing the game but it appeared to me that we resisted going for the jugular yet we were still playing a bit of a vulnerable high line. If you're going to play a high line, kill them off. We seemed to play between two minds. Not fully committed to either tactic It was a bit schizophrenic. And Allegri took advantage of it. Once they added more width & speed (along with Costa playing through the middle a bit more),we got stretched. There were so many holes for that 2nd goal it could have come from anywhere.
After their 2nd goal, Juve got extremely compact They had a bit more speed in the FB positions but their CB's were old, slow & lumbering. We kept trying to play through there & if that was the plan, I was wondering why we didn't bring Moura on as well for his pace & trickery through there? He's very good at getting by players in tight spaces.
Anyway, proud of the way we played & looking forward to more memorable games in the near future.

It was hilarious that the commentators even considered that it was accidental. No one who has played think that that's an accident. He kicked him in that particular incident before the ball was even near them. It was clear they were trying to kick the shit out of him.
Barzagli probably committed two of the worst fouls in the game and didn't even get a warning. Pathetic. He wasn't the reason we lost, that was down to us but his decision making was very random.

No. We do not have to blame ourselves. The team were fantastic in both legs, there is no blame to be pointed at any of them. Their discipline was fantastic, remember how it kicked off against those chav cunts? We are a different, more mature side and did not lower ourselves to their disgusting 'experienced' level. Some people have said we should have met their thuggery with violence of our own and I agree with that, but not on the field, not in front of the cameras.
We were caught out twice last night and I have read that our defence was pony, but that is bollocks as well, the only chance we ever had of winning against those dirty cunts was to go at them and score goals, there was always a chance that they would catch us out. If the Poch had tried to park the bus and play defensively we would have been humiliated - as it was we were cheated out of victory by just one goal, they had just 3 shots on target last night and scored twice, anyone who thinks restricting one of the so-called best sides in the world to 3 shots on target is poor defence can fuck right off. We outplayed them for 87 minutes and the ref was a joker who allowed them to cheat and make tackles that should have seen two of them off with straight red cards and fuck knows how many yellows.
Forget the result and congratulate the team for their effort and how they were so close to victory, losing by just one goal when so many people had written us off and said we would be trounced by a 'proper' European side, they got lucky, we got beaten up.

Nah mate, defending against a team like that would have led to misery. When they play football and don't cheat, stamp and kick the quality of their players was obvious. I thought right from the start of the game that our only chance was to score 3 and we had a good go at it, I don't think criticism is needed.
The Poch got it right, the tactics were correct, the substitutions were correct, I read on that pox-awful Twitter that he was a cunt for bringing Llorente on, bollocks, total bollocks, bringing on a big tall bloke who has European experience, has actually played for the opposition, has a proven goal scoring record and got a hat-trick in his last game when you desperately need a goal cannot be anything else but the right decision.

Yes! We do have ourselves to blame, the best teams are clinical and if there’s one criticism i’d throw at the boys, is that they’re quite wasteful in front of goal at times, it’s my opinion, people can say it was a brilliant performance over the 2 legs, which it was and of course i’m proud of the boys, that goes without saying but i’m thinking of the future, if this team is gonna stick together, then we have to start winning games like last night, the longer we go tripping up in games that we should be winning, then the longer our search for silverware will go on and the harder it will be to keep hold of our talent.
They were there for the taking last night, we can talk about their thuggery but that didn’t have anything remotely to do with the fact that we could’ve closed the door on them by half time. I’m not saying that we would’ve gone onto win the cup but getting thru last night, would’ve done wonders for their confidence as a team, being able to call upon that experience would’ve been massive. I wouldn’t have minded so much if they were clearly the better team but they weren’t, I know it’s negative and that we need to be positive right now but I find it hard, when we had a grt chance to make another giant step in this team evolving into something amazing. Of course IF this team can stay together then the potential is enormous and I have no doubt that many of these hurdles will be skipped over but for now, i’m just aware that the clock is ticking.
I appreciate that players make mistakes and that we’re a young side, with lots of potential to improve but whilst the latter is true to a degree, there’s also a vast amount of experience at club and international level, within the squad.
Bottom line for me is that yes, I totally agree with you that we should be proud of the boys, they’ve been tremendous and that we dominated a team with an incredible European pedigree but I just can’t help feeling we’ve let another chance to grow as a team slip thru our fingers.
I shall await the onslaught!!
