Surprised by our lack of intensity given Poch's demanding style.
Thought it might be a much different 2nd half from us but...

Today was like two self inflicted gunshot wounds.
I guess we had two chances in approaching the game,do what we do and see who wins battle of the press,or do what others have done to them, sit back fill the central area in front of the box and hit them on the counter.
I can understand in his career atm Poch thinking we play how we want to play regardless of opposition, god knows if we had set up to stiffle them&still lost he would have been slaughtered for not doing what we normally do.In hindsight, parking a bus of sorts and playing counter couldnt have done much worse.
That kind of choice becomes easier with experience, its not down to us to be crowned champions of the press, but to win games. At this moment our team is young and our manager too so guess we will remain gun ho until we grow a bit in experience from mistakes.

Watched most of the first half this morning and then had to stop as I needed to go and coach a Touch Rugby final and watching the game was putting me in a shit mood. The second goal was a real coach killer. It was really quite frustrating to see almost the same match play itself out yet again against this team. Fortunately our team showed a lot more grit than Spurs and we came back to win in extra time after equalising with a minute to go.

Out fought, out muscled and out played.

We were tactically weak and bossman is a stubborn bastard for not heeding the warnings we have had already this season with teams that play in a similar way to us. Sometimes, when your backline has a hole in it you make the best out of the situation.

Many things concerned me during the game, but you know what, sometimes you just have to admit the opposition played better than us and unfortunately Liverpool seemed to want it more than us.

Davies and Dier had an absolute nightmare out there..... but the flack they're receiving by some fans is unacceptable.

Bad feckin day at the office, move on
