Righto, now we know how to win at Wemberlee, we can start banging in goals for fun. The chaps must be pumped after Tuesday's great performance, but even though it's only Liverpool, they still need to be a bit careful because as we all know these small little mid-table clubs can sometimes cause upsets. Feet firmly on the throat from the start and keep 'em there until the final whistle.

Got a felling this will be the first real quality game from a neutral view point at Wembley this season. Both teams will be buzzing from the CL games and I don't think either manager will go out looking for the draw. I think us having a couple of players coming back from injury Rose and Hopefully Dembele, plus Davies too should mean we can out out a very strong side for this one which will just about see us edge it as I don't think Liverpool have the players after the first 11 to deal with mid week and weekend games against top sides.

They dont have the players in their back 5 let alone in the squad. If we can keep the ball and press them, only a matter of time before they concede, its how many they can try&score vs how many they will concede.Should be a cracking game,we got into practise against double european champions, they had a run out against some slovenian pumpkin farmers.
4-1 super tottenham from the lane, and i dont do predictions normally, may as well write the headlines now "and then was three"

This won't be easy after they banged in 7 away, but against us a quality side they'll struggle. Keep Coutinho quiet and it will be a happy afternoon. I'm thinking 2-0 Kane and Dele.

Ben Davies & Nkoudou back in training,
Poch says Danny Rose is not ready to start against Liverpool. Maybe West Ham. Also hopes Erik Lamela could be on the bench against West Ham.

I'm a little worried about this game. In Coutinho, Firmino and Salah, they are the type of players that can really hurt us if we're sloppy with the ball.

Madrid never really tried playing thru us in the middle, most of their attacks were concentrated in wide areas and we were able to nullify the majority of them, but with those 3 and the speed at which they move the ball, I think we need to be wary. Saying all that, their back line isn't exactly water tight, so I think we'll get thru them enough to create a fair few chances. As long as our passing is on point, then I fancy us to win it 2, maybe 3-1.

Have to say both teams in respects of the title chase need a win,but if it is a draw it really puts the pressure on liverpool in terms of top 4,would leave them in 8th or 9th,out of league cup and ground to make up in the league.

We haven't beaten them in the last 9 attempts, time to change that and go level with United in second place.

If we want to win this fucking league then beating Liverpool home and away is a must. They should be the ones hoping to nick a result, not us. They are to proud a club to come to us and sit back so it should make for an easier on the eye game than the Burnley, Swansea and Bournemouth borefests.

This team selection has my approval, the Poch is really getting the hang of this football manager lark eh? I expect after Harry get's his hat-trick he will bring on Llorente to inflict more pain on the nasty dippers, replacing Harry W cos he's only young and little and might be a bit tired after making them look like slow old donkeys for 60 minutes. Georges Kevin can give Sonny a break, and Sissoko can replace someone else, what the fuck do I know about football tactics? Hissing Sid can stay on the bench.

Deep joy. The Wemberlee hoodoo is smashed unto tiny bits. fucking marvellous, Sonny was brilliant, so was Harry, so was Christian and Jan and Kieran and .... all of them. Hugo made up for the mistake that gifted them a goal with one incredible save and some just marvellous ones.

Real Madrid are going to get mulched to fuck when they come to Wemberlee, the pikeys will be ripped to shreds on Wednesday and when we doodle off to Manchester they will be crying like little girls - and my prediction that we would be the very doodahs of the dog in October and November will come true and everyone will know that may super powers are to be feared.

Yeh, quite enjoyed that, gone are the days when the dippers just turn up and the ball 'jumps' past Walkers shoulder and into the net!
(For those who are too young...)

Yep them days is gone forever.

I thought Dele wasn't his usual sparkling self, seemed a bit lacklustre in the first half, Poch must have given him a livener cos he came out and made them look like proper numpties, got to the point where they had to rugby tackle him to avoid the embarrassment. All in a workman like performance! Seems we don't even have to try to beat the Pool these days :D:D:D:D:D.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino: "I am very pleased. Tuesday in Madrid was an amazing effort and so was this, so thank you to the players.

"Our fans were fantastic it was an amazing game and we played really really well. We tried to control the game despite conceding a lot of the ball.

"We were clinical and so aggressive. It is so important. We knew very well that Liverpool would try to play and the plan worked. They are a gerat team.

"The team is starting to build confidence at Wembley. It is important to make this feel like home, it is key for us. It seems like we are starting to show that here.

"It is the third season that we are trying to catch someone. Manchester City are doing very well, they have an amazing squad and one of the best managers in the world. We see what happens, we believe, we will try to catch them. We are focused every day.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino on Sky Sports: "It was fantastic, a fantastic performance, the players were fantastic and we started very well.

"I am so happy for our fans, in front of Diego Maradona, Kobe Bryant... a fantastic day for us.

"Many things were pleasing this afternoon - the commitment of the players, the way that we play, the fans were fantastic, Wembley starts to feel home, that we can win here and the confidence is so important for us.

"It is important to try to play football, don't give them space. If you open the channel we will concede a goal, we made a mistake but I think it was a foul before that on Harry Kane.

"We are very pleased because we played well."

On Harry Kane's substitution: "He's tired, three games in one week and the effort was amazing from him. Harry Kane is a fantastic player, one of the best strikers, it's difficult to find words to describe him - he's unbelievable, so professional, the effort when we don't have the ball, everything is fantastic - so professional."
