Haven’t seen us give the ball away this many times in a game, for a very long time.

What-iffery is pointless I know, but what if we had got the 3 penalties we should have had and what if the penalty they were wrongly awarded had not not been given and what if their first goal was offside? What if Sterling had been booked at least 5 times for diving and hadn't got their other goal because he had been sent off? What if the two footed studs up tackle on Sissoko from La Porte had got him a red card and a nice position free kicks (or was it a penalty., I lost the stream after that) instead of a goal kick for city? They were the better side, but they won with a great deal of help from John fucking Moss. Fucking annoying result but not anything to worry about,

I’m a bit gutted to be honest. I really thought we were gonna turn ‘em over, so feel pretty deflated after a really poor performance. Can’t say I got animated at any of those penalty shouts we had, yeah, there’s wasn’t a pen but i’d rather be grateful at their inept finishing, if they had their shooting boots on, it could’ve gotten really ugly.

I will give a couple of positives, Jan was immense and Lucas looked really lively when he came on.

Onwards we go, watch out Brighton!

Might seem strange to say it when we've just leaked 3 goals at home but is there a better CB in the league than Vertonghen? Probably not and I look forward to him, as well as Eriksen, not making it onto the team of the year.

Jan was brilliant. It's funny you bring it up--I missed the game live because I was coaching my younger boy's game today. My older son stayed home to watch and I wouldn't allow him to tell me the result so I could watch the recording. He said "Dad, all I'll say is that Jan was great today."

I tend to agree with @Dorset, overall we were bad but Moss was worse. The penalty was a terrible decision--when in doubt, surely you give it on the edge of the box. At the same time, in retrospect, it's hard to imagine that Citeh would lose four in a row. They were very good, we were not, and for me the only consolation is that we don't have to watch them celebrate. It would be very very nice if we could take care of BHA this week.

I don't think it was a poor performance really, City just have all the money and some incredible players, we're just not at that level at the moment. I'd add Trippier into the list of good performances, Lucas is really exciting I reckon, Kane is not back to peak fitness yet, he'll be ready for Saturday though so that will be nice. No need to be gutted about losing to City, they have beaten every side in the Premiership this season and have only lost 2 games, they are freakishly good (who wouldn't be with that nasty blood money),they have had a couple of slip ups in recent weeks but ....

Jan should be our capt and hugo club capt,Jan deserves it and think if possible he will then go up another level leadership wise.

We were simply out done last night, for 20mins after the break we had control but really the other 70mins they pulled us allover the shop.Didnt help us giving it away carelessly a few times and some bad ref calls, tho if hugo had been deemed a freekick and not a pen, would he have seen red??
Well everytime we have lost in the last years we come back hard, been an amazing run in the league, lets hope they regroup and go again on tues.

I sat there for the first 25 mins and just thought we haven't even started. I don't know why, but we sat back and just gave them so much space. When we started playing, it was a great game and we forced City to defend in numbers and play counter attack.

Poch looked and sounded very disappointed with the slow start. We can't do that again next Saturday, and we definitely can't let long straight balls cut through the middle of our defence, like last night and Bournemouth.

We'll be fine, after all we haven't been Beate since early December against err City, just a disappointing performance that's all, unless of course your name is Jan Vertoghen.

I only see the what-iffery that would have given us an advantage, like that French twat I did not see the alleged Ben Davies 'red card' tackle and I thought Hugo got the ball. My Spurs specs were on!

The 1st 30 mins was pretty tragic mate, we couldn’t string a pass together, gifted them possession in dangerous areas but the most bizarre part, was when we conceded possession in and around the halfway line, Moussa was the only man in the middle of the park, as Dier seemed to go back into a back 3, so it was so easy for them to get at our back line. We picked up a bit after that period but yeah, they’re a great side but I don’t think we helped ourselves at all.

Longest day of my life. Stansted to Wembley is not an ideal scenario.

Match at that time was shit. So many people were drinking all day when it came to making noise no one could be bothered.

The way we play football under Pochettino can be magic, but man city exploited it. They destroyed our high line by simply playing over the top of us. Knew it was going to be a tough evening when Sane (I think) banged the post early doors.

We never got going. We gave them all the room in the world unlike against say Real Madrid where we hunted in packs.

I think goals is playing on Kane. He didn't play his natural role at all just stood forward trying to be a poacher, which was bizarre to watch. He didn't look quite right either.

Hugo's kicking is poor at the best of times but his decision making was plain awful yesterday, played us in to trouble over and over again.

Lamela was pretty good all in all but when you see what Liverpool did against them I don't understand leaving Son out. He is our pace, although he was quiet when he came on anyway.

Eriksen is magic, and Lucas Moura looks an absolute player. Really gets down the throat of the defense.

Finally big shout to Jan. He was an absolute wall at the back. Sanchez made alot of errors but Jan kept the score down.

Good to meet @Finchbee and @corroded (again).

@Glenjamin I have to agree with most of that. Kane hasn't really looked good in a while. I actually called for Vorm to start this match. Sounds blasphemous, but Kane and Hugo need a weekend off. 6 points and the FA cup are what matter, and we can get the points without Kane and Hugo. Will be interesting what Poch does.

Hugo can make saves few goalkeepers can make but his distribution is horrible and it's alot of our game. Usually he can get away with it but city are quick and pounced on those sideways out if the box passes. I like Vorm a lot aswell his all round game is great. Hugo has stuck with us through thick and thin though, and we have to do the same while he is finding it tough. Vorm however should complete the remaining FA cup games.

Kane is a difficult one he is off the boil and we were arguably playing better while he was injured, but once he is back in form he's the best around.

I prefer to see it that City were too good for us at the start of the game rather than we were shite - and that are a very good side, they have steam-rollered just about everybody this year and they have the quality players to stop us playing our game I can't be fucked slagging outr team off, I had enough of that in another place.

Apologies for not meeting up ,,but I got lumbered with a ticket, that someone had promised to buy and didn’t show up for .......so me and Liam are out of pocket, till I try and get the money out of him ......next time let’s just put it on the exchange .......
Anyway gutted with the first half , but this decision of the penalty, 2ft outside 5he box really didn’t help

No worries chief. Sounds like a pain in the arse.

Penalty shout was very poor, however if he didn't give it could he gave given a red? It was a pretty ropey challenge, and last man.
