2 from 11 about average? I know i may be critical but i call that not good enough! You win titles by your set pieces! Utd did with Beckham, chelsea did with lampard! At the moment i think Eriksen is poor in his set piece play
Here`s some info on corners, the data is for last season,I cant be arsed to search high&low for stats this year, nothing was obvious on a search.
https://www.sportsjoe.ie/football/t...e-so-far-this-season-are-very-revealing/19129

there have been 3,189 corners in the Premier League this season, and they have resulted in 96 goals. That's a three per cent chance of a goal from a corner so next time your team gets one at the death when they need a goal, don't get too excited.

No one is saying we couldnt do better, but corners are not as effective for all sides nowadays, cant all be down to delivery, zonal defending all the rage, all the grappling blocking thats all the rage too.Its clearly a plan to hit the near post area both toby and dier have had success previously with this.Obviously teams know this and try to prevent this scenario and thats why we hit the 1st man so often.I am pretty sure this accounts for how it appears? Also it has to be inch perfect with pace for it to work which is no mean feat. The further the ball travels, the more chance the keeper or defenders have of clearing it,probably this is the thinking?Every team defends corners better now and every pundit will say a goal from a corner is from a defensive lapse no matter how good the delivery.Son,Walker,Lamela,Trippier,Davies have all taken corners too,I dont remember any of them being that much better or resulting in goals.

Thats my take anyway, its low hanging fruit to expect so much from what is no longer much of a threat for any attacking side.I would say penalties awarded for the foul play is probably around 50% of the amount actually scored,or so it seems.

Well I had a great time. A little walk around the groundS a scanby burger, a good old sing song and a Spurs wiin
.

Did you hear the new Kyle Walker chant? Got to say my Greavsie ears could only pick up the chorus of 'KYLE WALKER,KYLE WALKER,KYLE WALKER' For me Kyle is a Spurs Legend in the making and is long overdue his own chant. And what about his run from the centre spot into the defence left side and pulled off a brilliant tackle. What a turn of speed, just amazing to watch.

Yeh we could hear something but to me it sounded like Millwall Lol Not easy to pick up the words down low as you get the reverberating sound coming back at you.

Didn't see the move as I had a big bloke in front of me on that side!

What did you think of our fans? I thought there was good atmosphere but speaking to a Boro chap walking back to Seven Sisters and he thought we were 'shite - no offence mate'! Don't know what he expected to be honest, maybe if Boro hadn't time wasted from 5mins in and played football we might have been able to get into full voice but with them spoiling the game it made for dull periods that was difficult to get into.

I feel ready for the new stadium now, I've got my closure and can move on...

It's hard to judge the all round atmosphere @Motspur Hotspur when you are in the Park Lane because the majority of the singing goes on in this area and the corner of the Shelf Side. I think it can sound noisy in this part of the Lane whilst the other areas maybe that bit subdued. I did notice yesterday the Paxton didn't appear to be joining in much of the chanting, unless any Yids know better. The number of teams coming to the Lane and time waste from ko is so frustrating but their mode changes when they go 1 down. :)
Glad you had a good day and said farewell to WHL as we know it.
