Very disappointing result, especially after the first half. Have to be more ruthless in front of goal. And it was concerning how panicky we looked after they scored the goal. The players had to expect a response after the first half and it was clear they weren’t ready for it.

Saw quite an apt quote about Sonny as well .. "He'd be a great impact player but his race is nearing it's end". It's easy to forget he's 32 as well.

We dominated the first half because Leicester sat off us a bit and I felt we could have upped the pace of our play. I also felt the pace of our game did go up a gear or 2 when Gray Bergvall and Kulu came on and as already mentioned these 3 should start against Everton. Thought Vicario was out of order with his over the top reaction to young Bergvall.

Onwards and upwards!

Fair enough but it’s just so reminiscent of the 2nd half of last season

He can no longer get away with his concrete footed first touch now that he has lost a yard of pace. Love the guy. He’s a legend. But I am of the opinion that his starts should be limited now.

28-year-old Sonny would have been first to that through ball on 85' and rounded or chipped the goalie.

What a bunch of whingeing cunts you all are. Blah, blah, fucking blah. OK, it was a disappointing result and we didn't score the goals you all could have and would have if you'd got up from your sofas. I thought it was a promising start to the season, Posty has a really good squad to chose from and some of the subs were brilliant, I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned Timo yet, he was solid. We completely dominated most of the game but ran out of steam a bit at around 50 minutes. I reckon if Posty had made those subs 10 or 15 minutes earlier then there'd be far less little girl crying here. There were far more positives than negatives last night, so I am looking forward to a good season.

The whingeing isn’t just about last nights result, it’s born out of frustration, coz last night was a microcosm of what we saw last season. It’s the same issues, not capitalising when dominant, and our back line looking incredibly vulnerable when put under the tiniest bit of sustained pressure.

Yes, our squad’s much stronger, and there are lots of reasons to be optimistic but we need to be putting teams like Leicester to bed, when that dominant, if we wanna achieve anything of note this season. Also Johnson drives me up the fucking wall, can barely control a ball at times, and never uses his pace to run at his LB, better off the bench for me.

Oh fuck off, the whingeing is because you are all on your period or your mummies didn't tuck you into bed or cur your eggy soldiers in the right shape. It was the first game of the season, if by half way through the season we are sitting in the bottom half of the table I might start listening to all the moaning, whining, crying, dummy spitting bollocks, until then I am ramming my fingers firmly into my lugholes and saying 'la la la' - and calling all you cunts out of course, I enjoy that, a chap has to have a hobby when he gets to my age.

I can only appreciate the positivity old boy, and while I am positive and excited about the potential of the squad, I just don’t want us falling into the same old habits. I’m sure we’ll spank Everton, and all will be good in the world. 👍

Agree, but Johnson should be nowhere near the first team. A one trick pony who flatters to decieve imo.

Even though you're all wankers, I'm sure we can agree on one thing - Vardy is a total cunt .
Honestly the thing that pissed me off the most about last night was that the utter prick scored before being taken off and sent back to the elder care facility.

He should have been red carded for the language he was using as he went off: FA Rules state -

Law 12: Sending Off Offence: - A player is shown the red card if he uses, offensive or insulting or abusive language, and/or gestures

His face is an abusive and insulting gesture on its own.

Which made it all the worst letting Steptoe Senior score by forgetting how to defend!

Shitshow doesn’t cover it!

I might be on my own here but a lot of people are saying how dominant we were last night in the first half, but that's because Leicester sat off us and even then we didn't play with real zip and go for the throat. We tippy toed around them. Sure we created a few chances that weren't finished off but we only saw real impetus when the likes of young Gray, Bergvall, Spence etc came on. I'm not gonna include Werner coz he is a headless chicken. If you're good enough you're old enough. Gray and Bergvall in particular should be in the starting 11 at the expense of Sarr and Benny. Kulu should replace Johnson, even Sonny is accumulating question marks? And maybe Odobert at 19 could replace him. I'd rather see the youngsters fail than the tride and tested.

Interesting take.
I didn't watch the match so I cannot comment on it.
What I'm reading from many that did, was that the kids outperformed their more experienced teammates. I understand that there's loyalty to senior or longer serving members of the team & giving them ample opportunity to perform well. But in the bigger picture, it's ultimately about winning. And if the kids are giving you a better chance at that, you gotta go with them which also furthers their development.

I thought based on chances created we should’ve had 2 or 3. Would’ve been nice to start by blowing Leicester’s doors off and I didn’t like how we lost our shit when they scored, but I’m not too worried . I heard a quote from Max Allegri today saying that football in August is a liar, which I think is about right.

I see what you’re saying but to me it’s a continuation of the 2nd half of last season

Poor performance by the team under a stubborn manager who is beginning to worry me!

What was he thinking about with the Subs?

Putting Werner on RW?

I wouldn’t put him anywhere as I just don’t rate him or Johnson now known as BlowJob in certain forums!

With Son not performing on the left it’s difficult to be critical of Solanke as his service wasn’t good but he had one decent chance which he should have put away!

Wait, why are they calling Johnson Blow Job? His finishing is the problem, after all.

Don’t get me wrong as I’d love to see them become world class wingers but I’ve seen no evidence that either of them have got what it takes and both are fortunate to be playing in the PL
