Gotta do an away day in Europe next season I think, you game @Don Diaz? Or anyone else? I know it's the Newcastle match thread but fuck the topic of the thread, I'd like to AEK Athens in our group in the CL would be an easy game and I love a good piss up in Athens!

Well my dream of seeing Liverpool get sweet fuck all from this season seems unlikely, but we'll take those three points and run. Terrible performance for most of the game, but that was a class goal by Harry.

One more game as a STH for the first time in my life. I can say now we’ve got CL again, it’s been a brilliant season, highs and lows but not many and you think it’s one game against Juve and one against United, vs beating Madrid, Dortmund twice and everyone except City in the league, whilst trying to make Wembley ‘home’ is no small achievement.

We knock our team too easily at times, and forget the bigger picture. There’s an awful lot to like about Spurs these days, the whole club, even if we do pass it sideways a bit too often.

Happy Days (again)

That's the thing, its the success that has us knocking them IMO. Raised expectations and all that. As you say, it's been a good season. I thought we'd be in the fight for fourth place with having to play in Wembley and all, and we've now won that fight.

I can breathe again. When Sissoko got outmuscled by Kennedy (how does that happen???) my heart sank. Then he showed us why he's on loan at Newcastle.:) Nevertheless, I was really impressed with how maturely we closed out the match. We were never going to get beat over the top and we kept the ball in the corners. Now we move on and Chelsea and Arsenal are on the outside. How do you like them apples!! COYS!

Hahahahha! I love the fact that Conte screwed them by resting players in a must-win match against a desperate team. You reap what you sow, Abramovich!

Lamela has got so much skill & he exhibits it in such a silky smooth way. He can make opponents look silly.
He's also very unselfish as he can really pick out a pass & deliver. I wish his teammates had the same vision & execution.
His tenacity off the ball, 2nd to none on our team.

Nevertheless, I put him on my 8 In, 8 Out list as I feel he would really flourish in Serie A again. We would benefit by getting a good chunk of cash from someone there like Inter as clubs there still rate him highly. We can then use it to buy up. Besides Toby, & maybe Rose, he would get us the greatest amount of ££,£££,£££.

Just to be clear.
I'd prefer Lamela to stay but feel he's a squad player that could generate the most cash for us.

Imagine if they blow it against Brighton and in the final and end up with sweet fuck all!

Yeah I said in another thread I’d like to see them lose at least one of the games on a questionable ref decision or maybe the final on penalties. Maximum piss boiling.
