Well, well, well I didn't realise watching other games could be enjoyable. I'm only watching it as I have something fluey. Glad we got a 12 point gap on Everton as they could put a decent run together. They have some good youngsters their.
You know having a fallow year means you can take a chance, save 100m and get a home grown core with a 3 or 4 of your own..United have had the chance to do as such for a couple of years, and squandered it and still treading water.rashford, fosu menstral, martial, januzai all being held back by older expensive signings who are failing.
Is it because of the short-termism of managers lifespans?probably, but the benefits of patience are obvious to us at spurs now.
Financially so obvious, even if they turn out mediocre, you sell them for 8-13m.Other academy players get inspiration and hope (what is the point of being in chelsea&united academys?),the benefit of your support identifying with the team shouldnt be ignored, longevity through loyalty, its probably worth a whole thread on its own the "playing your good youngsters".
Good luck to everton,I prefer to see good english kids given a shot than some randomly overpriced african or european flavour of the month.

I'm not sure whether you are looking for a large stirring spoon or not?!!! How does points per game equate to Aguero being worse than Kane?? I do like your style though lol
Like all stats absolutly nothing !!:D when did that stop anyone spouting rubbish.;)

Perfectly pukka afternoon for all N17 faithful...brilliant in fact because also our goal difference which may be significant come May, is also now +29 one behind Chelsea and better than everyone else.

Our current bubble will burst at some point but it might not be until June...for the moment let's keep enjoying this and playing well. We're second now pacing ourselves nicely, good luck to Vertonghen with the injury and also Lamela, although I think he will struggle to get back into the starting XI at present.

Spot on, just going by Rose, Kane and Walker, patience pays off.

I think the days of just simply buying success is on the wane.

Watching Porno today, the most expensive player in the world and he was awful at times.

That should read Pogba but the spellchecker changed it, I thought it was fitting to keep it there since I was watching a cunt in action.

This whole Payet scenario is so ill conceived.

For years he is relatively unheard of, barely registering on anyone's radar until he made a bit of an impression last season in the Prem. His stock rose & what does he do? He knocks it back down & confirms that he is a dodgy character. I don't care that his family is unsettled in England. You signed a contract & now refuse to play. Who's to say he won't do that again to the next club that signs him.

Anyone else believe Hull can sucker punch Chelsea next week?
Under Marco Silva, Hull is playing with a lot more vigour.

Maybe at home, I think it's highly unlikely at Stamford Bridge....

Still, I'm expecting China to come in this week & make a massive bid for Hazard. His head will turn while Conte will state that Hazard is also sitting out with a "back injury" like Costa. This will be followed by another massive bid this time for Conte. 3 back injuries? Not a chance. The shit will hit the fan.

Ha ha you maybe right about Hazard. After all Oscar and Mikel have already packed their bags and will be in Costa and Hazards phone directory....Conte would be a no I'd imagine.

Be careful what you wish for though....there are plenty of our squad that won't have escaped their attention....

I think we are in a good position to resist the lure of China. If our players wanted more money, they probably wouldn't be here already.

Watched the manure dippers game today. Shocking game of football. We are streets ahead of them in quality. I just got the impression I was watching 22 individuals as opposed to 2 teams.

The problem we might have in catching Chelsea is that - are any of the others good enough to take points off them? We've done as much as we can and they have Arsenal at home and Liverpool away coming up. We need at least one of them to win, although a couple of draws would also work out very nicely. They also have City at home and United away to deal with - Mourinho bus? with a couple more tricky away games at Everton and WBA. Somewhere they have to lose or draw a few to give us a chance.....and at the same time we have to keep winning.

Tough, but definitely possible, there's still a lot of games left...an injury to Hazard wouldn't go a miss just to even things up a bit!! Keep the faith.

All we can do is win as many games as we can, I am not holding my breath for the title this season, we would need to maintain our current form and the chavs to slip up in 4 games probably, that is unlikely, but who knows maybe the Chinese will come in and give them all bad backs?

I would really, really, really like to finish above the scum, that would be extremely pleasant - oh and I want the FA Cup and the Europa League, that would be acceptable. I will forgive the Poch for th indignity of coming second if he gives me those 2 shineys!

So if the unthinkable happens we can only drop a maximum of one place......although the title challenge would be much weaker.....

Well done and thanks to our ex Spurs today, Naughton, Carroll. Routledge and Siggurdsson. Led to believe young Tom was excellent today.
