A lot of football pundits over here (many of whom were former national team players under Bradley) are saying they think he would've turned it around--as in just avoiding relegation--and that he should've at least been given the window to bring in some players. That's fair enough but it seems to me that the last thing you want to do with a manager that doesn't seem up to the job is to give him money to spend.

Who the fuck was Bob Bradley? According to Wikipedia he had held 13 soccer management posts, for teams I have never heard of. I think he won the World Cup for Egypt and that other country who have just voted for the mentally ill nazi so maybe he was quite good? It seems a bit naive for the American owners of Swansea to appoint an American whose only remotely credible experience of European football was managing a 2nd division French side and no English football experience at all. I'm actually staggered they played him. I appreciate the whole innocent until proven guilty thing but he's being charged with drink driving ffs. Its fair to assume they have breathalysed the scumbag and he's been above the limit for them to charge him, right? I hope the bastard is found guilty, not because it will weaken the dippers on the field but it will highlight the selfishnesss and immorality of playing him yesterday. I am truly sick of the selective moral high ground that this club have been allowed to take over the years. Some of their fans have had a truly terrible time at the hands of the british press and police over Hillsborough but we all know there are other incidents that their club should be held accountable for and yet we hear nothing. I take your point Rev. But players are regularly out in their own communities, hospitals, charities doing their bit on behalf of the club they play for. The lad was driving in the city he plays football for under the influence, could very easily have had terrible consequences. Personally I don't particularly look upon players as modern role models but surely the football club have a moral duty to be seen to be taking some action against his irresponsible actions. Maybe I'm making too much of this and am letting my hatred for the dippers get in the way of my judgement

@conor1 You are a pretty level headed kind of guy normally, don't get involved in all the "he earns this much so he must be perfect" rhetoric (not that you said that, but I do hear it underneath.). Footballers are a cross section of all that is great and good and all that is crap in equal measure, just like society in general. In my view he should be able to continue to work in his chosen field because he doesn't drive for a living.
This episode will cost him plenty, he now has to pay for a driver to get him to training and back, and insurance will skyrocket for the next 10 years. From what I hear and have read, teammates can be pretty unforgiving in this respect.

Rev, youre probably right and as I've said my dislike for lfc is probably defining my thoughts on this particular issue. Maybe subconsciously the earnings thing is there but I have to be honest it wasn't forefront in my mind. I would absolutely have no problem with benching him for being a fucking idiot, not only for endangering others but endangering himself and risking his availability for the team from injury and possible conviction.
I lost two friends in car accidents (one a DUI) and have had other friends severely injured in others, I have no patience for people who do shit like this.

Well he's never had to face so many decent teams before or 'English Premier League' style football. I think 4-0 down to Leicester must have been a hell of a shock! Next season will see whether he has got it or not....

Couldn't agree more mate. I think the competitiveness of the league has maybe found him out a bit. He's had nothing but the best players at his disposal at Barcelona and Bayern and now he's having to work with players who are probably a level below that imo.

Yep, outside the top three or four teams in Spain, La Liga is pretty much rubbish. And the same goes for the Bundesliga.
And as for the teams Pep managed in both leagues, well any of us could have managed them and gotten similar results.
