was gonna put this in his player chat, but will do it here!!
He is our future captain, the right playing position, the right attitude/drive/mentality,he is our millenial Perryman, and that is high praise indeed as StevieP is my all time fav spurs player. To think merely a year ago all the wailing as we didnt sign schneidelin and we dared to play Dier as DM in front of nabil...well that turned out well.(unless you are nabil ofc!)
Yeah, just struck me as a reason to be cheerful:D
Seriously, there are some very good things happening at this club right now.

Wheelchair went to Bournemouth and thus lowered the quality of both his old club and new one.

Poch is building a dynasty.....everyone is signing up to it, Dele is the latest and these guys probably won't peak for another 2 years yet, Spurs are being transformed, we have some big days and nights to come in the new stadium, brilliant.

(or alternatively Levy is banking his assets)

Goalkeeper Lloris is still not convinced that Pochettino's young side have reached their peak yet

Lloris says the best is yet to come from his Spurs team despite their stunning demolition of Manchester City on Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino's side were comfortable winners despite missing a second-half penalty at White Hart Lane.

It ended City's six-match winning run and laid down a marker for Tottenham's title credentials.

But Lloris is still not convinced that
Pochettino 's young side have reached their peak yet.

The France keeper said: "I don’t want to say that as we have had some great performances at the club, particularly last season.

"I think we did quite well against the best teams in the League. Following last season, I think we are still learning, we are a young team, we have a lot of talent.

"We have some strong basics which help us to get confident in this type of game and I think we were rewarded because we worked so hard. Every day this gives us enjoyment."

I had a little search earlier on the ages of some of our key players.......there are now quite a few getting towards their mid late 20's...which is still young for me, but in football terms they will be peaking now. Our defence are the oldest at the club and we will need new Toby's, Jan's and Hugo's in the next few years.....I know we have upcoming cover in the CCV's and Wimmers of this world but by the time the new stadium comes around in a couple of years we're probably going to need some new blood to defend the PL title....

And he is totally right. There was so much money being spent this summer and a lot of new managers begging chairmen to buy buy buy, but nobody came close to signing any of our players who have since underlined their commitment to Spurs and Pochettino by signing new contracts.

That is quite a statement in both their individual and collective belief in where we are heading.

Experience really makes centrebacks and the fullbacks (probably the most demanding position in terms of energy in Pooh's system) rotate.

I guess we are still the youngest average squad in the PL?

Mauricio Pochettino admits he is surprised that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has seemingly blamed Danny Rose for injuring Hector Bellerin at the end of the north London derby.
Wenger announced today that Gunners full-back Bellerin has been ruled out for “about four weeks”, adding: “He was injured in the last 10 seconds against Spurs - a very strong tackle from Danny Rose.”

Pochettino was unaware of Wenger’s statement and the wording when he spoke to reporters at his own press conference today but, when informed that Wenger had criticised Rose for the incident, he expressed his surprise and branded the comment “very strange”.

“I respect Arsene Wenger a lot. After 20 years as a manager in one place, at Arsenal, I respect that a lot,” he said. “But for me what happens on the pitch is never about bad intentions, it’s about football.

“I stopped my career 10 years ago and I feel like it was last month. I totally understand when the players are playing with passion, like Danny or anyone in our team. We are always aggressive in our play and sometimes things happen because football is very aggressive – it’s a contact sport, always. You cannot avoid the contact.

“It is strange, if the comments are true, that after 20 years he should criticise this.

“Two days ago Danny Rose suffered a bad tackle from Carvajal but that is football. If today maybe Danny comes in for training and says ‘I cannot play on Saturday’ I cannot criticise Carvajal because it’s a game - or Vardy for the tackle on Azpilicueta.

“We want all players to be like a man, be aggressive, tackle, always. But intention to injure the opponent? In football you know sometimes you cannot stop, you arrive late and you cannot criticise every single tackle.

“It is very strange, that comment, but I fully respect him.”

Brilliantly dealt with by Poch, as ever. Typical myopic comment from Wenger, as ever...

I was in the same hotel what I am in at the moment in Gran Canaria, I was not having a nice time up until them as I had watched the dippers game with some plastic dipper fans who were cunts, hearing the AVB news cheered me up a bit because I was very umpty with him. I was having a nice time this year until I looked at the weather forecast, it is going to fucking rain! I will pretend to be enjoying myself so Mrs D has a nice holiday, which is unlikely because she has got the flu, I had a jab because I am old and doddery and heart attacky so have only got grumpyitis. Another big win on Sunday will do nicely to improve my grumpiness.

Some other bits; Chris Waddles birthday yesterday....ICYMI
When you think you're struggling a bit - Skiathos comes along with a table and shows that you're not...
Lamela and Janssen will be back soon and the competition for places will be so hot we'll all burn our fingers.....and thus all the players will be at peak performance, we'll score lots of goals like Christian is at the moment, and move straight to the top of the league without passing 'Go'.....

But no way,Poch out !!!

He is currently 150/1 to be the next manager to be sacked, along with klipperty Klopp and Cunté.

The odds of proving alien life exists by the end of this year is 80/1.

The odds on a numpty not being a total pointless tool is 10000/1

In case anyone was wondering this is how we compare to last season after 20 matches:

15/16 P20 W9 D9 L2 GF34 GA16 GD18 PTS36
(Arsenal were top with 42, Leicester had 40)

16/17 P20 W12 D6 L2 GF39 GA14 GD25 PTS42
(Chelsea top with 49, Liverpool have 44)

After careful consideration, much thought and no respect to a bunch of trolls on another site, I rate this achievement so far as fucking brilliant.

This is a fact.
