Needs to head off now. Was right IMO to call out De Zerbie's bollox.

Sadly, seems to have alienated a lot of fans at the same time.

Super emotional guy, i dont mind hearing his honest thoughts, shows some characters and more people should open up like him, shouldn’t keep stuff inside.

Can't say a bad word about his attitude, just his first touch. He always put a shift in when he could stay fit, scored a fair few goals (albeit never enough), and just generally ran himself into the ground.

Can't question his motives either. He turned down big money for a move to Saudi, expecting to have to fight for his place, and thank fuck he did. Shit though he was, without those goals we'd be seeing Charlton rock up to WHL for league play. So bucking against the reins now doesn't diminish him. Who knows how honest RdZ was being when he said the man wanted to go? Was he being asked to make sacrifices for a team that was kicking him out of the coop? We always demand loyalty from players, don't show it to them when they need it, and pile on whenever they stand up for themselves.

Here endeth the sermon. Happy to see him go, not feeling good about how it went down.

When things aren't going well, players are always going to have mixed legacies. Seems a good guy, shoots from the hip, and the effort has been there. The problem is that he hasn't been very good at football for a bit now. Another move that is best for all involved.
