The decisions over shadowed the fact we dominated the game and should have won by 3, the post and 2 excellent saves prevented that.

Karma for Jota not getting sent off last season after kicking Skipp in the head.

Don’t forget these decision

Couldn’t agree more. We played bloody well and all Liverpool are doing is hijacking the match in their favour, playing the victims as usual. Defensively Liverpool resorted to thuggery, trying to expose a soft underbelly which they failed to do. Tactically they were stopping us from progressive playing leaving the foot in all -elbows and the dark arts. Despicable from them. I hope Klopp is proud of his tactics.

Definition of Liverpool : Victim.

Liverpool elbowed, kicked, tried to get at Romero, stop play from progressing with silly tackles. They got what they deserved. Klopp got it wrong. They tried to bully and we didn’t react (although Romero slightly early on in the game did).

Studs > shin > with or without intent = RED
Two yellows = RED (if they were silky, don’t make the tackles).

Goal should have stood-Levy must have a relative in the VAR room.

We deserved the win -Liverpool are trying to deflect -they got it wrong tactically by trying to bully us. In reflection it’s respect for THFC at the moment. We are a decent side.
Correct. At the half, I think they’d committed 9 fouls to our 3.

I read a comment earlier that brought up the game last season where we'd come back from 0-3 down to level at 3-3 only to lose in extra time to a goal from a player who should have been off for kicking Skipp square in the head.

What goes around comes around and all that ..

Yup. That should have come up in the press conference. Would love to have seen Klopp blow a gasket.

Just when you think this couldn’t get any funnier, Liverpool issued a statement ending with a promise to “explore the range of options available, given the clear need for escalation and resolution.” Beyond parody.

Well. Looks like I was wrong about the result.

Love to see it. Now, let’s fuck up Luton next week

Apparently the word is that they are “preparing a letter to the FA” with the first proposal being the game being replayed behind closed doors.

We’d apparently have to agree so I’d love a story to leak that we’re also “preparing a letter” to Liverpool where the second word is “off”.

Fuck 'em. We play that match 10 times, we win eight of them. Let's do it. Maybe throw some squad players in, treat it like an early-round cup match.

Just reading that Wolves had a legitimate goal ruled out incorrectly by VAR back in January when they faced Liverpool in the FA Cup. Didn't see anyone "exploring their options" then either, did we ?

Klopp was like "Ah well, these things happen" in the press conference afterwards.

I thought Kliperty Cunt Chops was very magnanimous and fair in his comments... That fucking upset me as I wanted him to implode into a tiny black hole that sucked in all of Liverpool...!!!

Look, VAR absolutely robbed them... ha, not nice when the shoe is on the other foot is it you theiving scumbags...

But seriously, all were doing now is chatting about the VAR or officiating and ignoring the spectacle of football we witnessed and the absolute drama of the game its self...

This for me, is simply detracting from the game... we already have people with VAR banners at games and not player or team banners.... madness...!!!

Get rid of it and start to respect officials. That where this has all come from. A lack of respect for the people wearing black from the players, managers, clubs, fans, pundits, media and anyone else who hasn't walked a mile in their shoes...

They're human and they are bound to make mistakes... we dealt with it OK up until a few seasons ago and managed to enjoy goals without waiting for "computer says no" or the ref to review anything... I fucking hate VAR and would rather see a wholesale change to how we've dehumanised officials and start respecting them and their decisions.

Liverpool were so interested in the integrity of the game last season that they immediately demanded that Wolves were awarded this cup tie after the wide player was deemed offside by VAR. Of course they didn’t

We were the better team 11 vs 11.
We were the better team 11 vs 10
We were the better team 11 vs 9.
I'm not denying that. I'm just saying if we were playing with 9 and having VAR go against us, we may lose earlier than them.

Apparently the officials were shattered from officiating in the UAE two days earlier.

The officials undeniably blew the offside decision. As for the sendings off, you've seen them given, as they say. Definitely not a good look for them to be in the UAE, though I imagine their flight back wasn't the ordeal it would be for most of us plebs.

What people seem unable to wrap their minds around is the fact that even with VAR, human beings will still get decisions wrong. And in football, many of the decisions where VAR is called upon to intervene are subjective anyway, which means somebody is going to disagree.

But because the reason VAR exists in the first place was supposedly to minimize human error, people get even more exercised when mistakes get made than they did before. And because pundits and media get more eyes and ears on their product and make more £££££ by promoting outrage, they indulge the tinfoil hat brigade that exists everywhere, but seems more vocal and silly at Liverpool than anywhere else.

All of this to say, who cares? There's now a very tiresome group of Spurs fans online who are like, "well...actually, we shouldn't really be celebrating this, because the Liverpool support has a point about them getting the shaft, etc and so on. It could just as easily happen to us..." Exactly, that's why it's so fucking funny!

Fuck 'em. If they want that game replayed then we'll have the one where Skipp got his head kicked in replayed, then they'll want every game they had a VAR decision go against them or they lost or Klippetty disagrees with the decisions replayed. Fuck 'em it's swings and roundabouts.

Bit of a mad saying that init...

I mean, you wouldn't naturally think... ah, a major trafic intersection that warrants the deployment of a sophisticated trafic management system to sustain and control the constant flow of vehicles around it... and then think "let's put swings in the middle of it, so the kiddies have to cross the terrifying trafic machine to play nicely"...

I'm sure there's a more intelligent explanation, but I can't be fucked to Google it...

I say next time a VAR decision doesn't go our way we should stamp our feet and scream until the nasty VAR people give us what we want...

Until then we can literally laugh out loud every time I see Matip sink to his knees as he scores our winner...!!! I've genuinely pissed myself laughing half a dozen times at least since watching it live... it gets better and better... Mrs thinks I'm loosing the plot...!!!

It's typical Liverpool this...
Moan, whinge and throw their arms in the air in a petulant hissy fit. This is a human error issue. If VAR never existed it wouldn't have counted cos the linesman flagged it as off.
Now, grow up Liverpool fc. Of course if Liverpool had won the game there would be fuck all said by the club. But they lost, why ? They saw red, twice because of stupid decisions made by their players and scored a ridiculous own goal. That's why.

Pathetic club.

Now that's it. Nuff said. Get on with it...

I can understand their sendings off were unfortunate. In other words, if Romero goes over the top of the ball, by accident, after kicking the ball, without excessive force, I'd prefer a yellow, and intent and outcome to be part of the laws of the game, and no slow motion VAR for the referee to see. That's just basic as a player of the game. However, I can also understand why, as a Spurs fan who got given the Sissoko handball in the CL final, it is swings and roundabouts. In other words, the laws of the game are fucked for everyone regarding clearly unintentional mistakes.

On top of that, yes, we have had decisions go against us, and Liverpool have had decisions go for them, in past games over the past year or so. That said, if you are officiating in the UAE for a fuckload of money, come back late and give a non-sober decision or two that favours Man City in the title race, you are going to be scrutinised, and probably rightly so. I also remember when an official elbowed Robertson in the face and got nothing.

I don't really find corrupt, or overly incompetent officials to be funny, whether it is for us or not. I don't like victim shaming more than I don't like victim playing.

If I'm taking some schadenfreude in the whole thing I'm not any better than them.

I'm glad we won.

Here’s a weird stat to wrap your head around.

After the first seven games last season under Conte, we had the same number of points that we do now and we’d scored one more goal.

I know which manager I’d rather have though.
