Well I am looking on the bright side. I am heading out to the UK for my bi-annual pilgrimage in August/September and expect to be able to get match tickets for a fiver by the time I get there.

Haha, that’s a good question. I honestly gave up on that post about 10% of the way in, wish I could say the same about the game...The game or the post above yours?
smelt of clogs if i am being honest, have to have a look at the IP address.A scottish mockney who would have thunk. The game or the post above yours?
Completely the players need a clear out, when Poch said a painful rebuild was needed oh how they laughed, champions league finalists and that.Clearly the bloke who worked with them for 5½ years would know, but the answer was get rid of the bloke who knew, back the players who failed him,and we are what we are now. That was fucking brutal..but unlike alot, I'm not going to just blame Mourinho. That's the easy thing to do imo. Most of these so called "Top class" players need to take a serious look at themselves because they haven't performed for this club for nearly 12 months now...and none of them were signed by this manager.
Dont get me wrong, I'm not exactly a Mourinho fan, and the jury is very much out on him but blaming him for the players lack of effort which was there since the CL final last May is ridiculous.
Dele has played well in 4 games since Jose arrived. Before that I could think of 4 games when he played ok over the previous 20 under Poch.. is that acceptable? No it is not. Eriksen has been a passenger...Our £65M record signing (Ndombele)has been very very average...and as for Gazziniga and our international defenders l?....words fail me...
This is not a quick fix. Alot of this squad needs to be cleared out, sold off, or told to get the fuck out....its that simple.
I think this is going to a long road, so I think we have to accept that and give Mourinho time to sort it out......hopefully!
I think that lack of effort started way before the CL final, it began way back in February, we only won 3 of our last 12 PL games. I don't think Mourinho is the type of manager who is interested in building for the future so giving him time won't help. So, unless Levy bungs unlimited money at him (ha ha ha) to build a side that'll win stuff next season - we are fucked. That was fucking brutal..but unlike alot, I'm not going to just blame Mourinho. He was brought into fix it, to change it, to make a significant difference from a manager who we know can build great teams from seemingly fuck all. That was fucking brutal..but unlike alot, I'm not going to just blame Mourinho. Burnley was the turning point. Prior to that game we had won 18 from 22 -carrying on like that would have won us the title last season, then we just stopped, fuck knows why.Burnley away is when it started for me, we'd just beaten Dortmund 3-0, and won 3 pl games in a row and i remember that Burnley game vividly, we weren't far off the top of the table and we served up a really horrible performance, no energy or invention and that for me is where the rot really started to set in, although those pl games before the Burnley game weren't great, we were reliant on late goals against Watford and Newcastle i think and got away a bit with a 3-1 win against Leicester at Wembley, when they gave us a bit of a tonking but couldn't stick the ball away.
Part of me wouldn't give a fuck if we sold every single one of this lot, barring about 4 or 5 players, even Alli pisses me off, flinging his arms in the arm when he misplaces a pass or one of his fancy flicks doesn't come off. Wish we had gone in for a young progressive manager, oh well think it'll take a good couple of years before we've got rid of all the deadwood and got in some decent replacements.
Partially one eye on the champions league run,but there is no real excuse,we have just surrendered so many times. Is it disaffection over "not being paid enough",5 years at one club too long and comfortable for many of them??,if I knew the answers I would probably deserve £16m a year and you could cunt me off as much as you liked.Because thats where I am heading with jose and levy and many of this team.Bunch of wage thiefs from levy to 80% of the players.Burnley was the turning point. Prior to that game we had won 18 from 22 -carrying on like that would have won us the title last season, then we just stopped, fuck knows why.
As I said in my previous post, I'm not defending Mourinho at all. But, I honestly feel alot of our players are not up to scratch and they're simply not good enough. If you were to put all the players up for sale, youd get what you want for Kane & Son, but outside of them, youd be doing well to get anything near your asking price for any of them imo. I AM surprised Mourinho hasn't organised us better, especially at the back. I don't know why he insists on playing Vert out of position when Sess could play there and move him back alongside Toby. I still think Sissoko would make a cracking RB too but there you go...He was brought into fix it, to change it, to make a significant difference from a manager who we know can build great teams from seemingly fuck all.
Soz, but fuck all has changed here and he has to take some responsibility. He is getting paid 16 million quid a year and convinced Levy he could do a better job than the bloke weve just sacked.....
So where is the improvement....?
Once we get fucking embarrassed by the Dippers (a serious test of how far we have fallen since the CL final) the new chap will be officially no better (or worse according to @dorsets stats) than Poch.
Yeah he has no players of his own but he fucking knew that, that's what he signed up for. If he thinks Levy will just spunk hundreds of million on players he is a bigger cunt than I thought. Or a cleverer cunt because he will also get sacked and earn a fucking fortune.
We should be fucking hard to beat right now. We should be fit and not shipping utter cluster goals left right and centre.
We should be playing shit boring, point scoring football and be angry as fuck about it.... but we cant even do that.
I am afraid I am full tilt........

Trouble is you can’t buy any quality in January. Summer is the time to buy to get quality - we probably need Champions League though because Levy won’t stump up stupid wages......and that’s not looking likely. As I said in my previous post, I'm not defending Mourinho at all. But, I honestly feel alot of our players are not up to scratch and they're simply not good enough. We need to be the busiest club in the January window imo...we need fresh faces badly.
That's the bit I'm getting at bud, he has done fuck all..... if anything we're worse.I AM surprised Mourinho hasn't organised us better, especially at the back. ..........

Isn't that the game where Poch went mental at the ref and pulled up before the FA? Wonder what happened when he went back into the changing room after!Burnley was the turning point. Prior to that game we had won 18 from 22 -carrying on like that would have won us the title last season, then we just stopped, fuck knows why.
I know we'll have another thread soon, but this is a massive game this weekend. Lose it and it's easy to see things becoming well and truly toxic ahead of Liverpool.
And Middlesbrough have been playing very well lately.
That's the bit I'm getting at bud, he has done fuck all..... if anything we're worse.
He signed a contract with Levy/the club and if we sack him tomorrow he still gets paid.
Same as the players who seem to have given up, there is no consequence to any of them.
I agree though, without new players, a fucking lot of them, we will continue to be utterly fucked.
And what's really pissing me off, is that he's come out and said that we don't need any players in January, all he needs is time with the players on the training pitch and January is the time he's set aside, using the heavy fixture list as an excuse as to why he hasn't been able to properly get in the players ears. Right, so let's look at Nigel Pearson at Watford and the transformation he's made in around 2 weeks and Arteta at the Arse in a little under 2 weeks, load of bollocks!!
You are right, Poch got right umpty with Mike Dean (can't blame him for that),but it was out of character for him so maybe the 'thing' that is going on with the players/Levy/whateverthefuck tipped him over the edge?Isn't that the game where Poch went mental at the ref and pulled up before the FA? Wonder what happened when he went back into the changing room after!
when you inherit the Perryman book and read it you will see!!,it is clear how some chairman being involved with wages, contracts, signings can competely demotivate a manager/players.It is often handled insensitively, like dealing with a commodity, where by in bill nic and burkinshaws day the manager with day to day relationships can deal with the people better and did.If its true and Levy told Rose he wouldnt get a new contract for example, why the fuck would you do that with someone with 2 years to go??just play the game and stall, wait and see, fluff him up in the meantime. Now if poch had bluntly told danny,i dont want you anymore thats different, danny said as much,he would go then if he didnt have the manager with him.Trippier said it was toxic behind the scenes, did he mean Poch?who picked him for the CL final??In my mind Levy is dealing with the players too much, thinks this football lark is easy, probably (like sugar and venables) sees and doesnt understand the adoration someone who is an employee of his gets when it should be him.Poch publically came out last season and said "i dont deal with transfers who is staying/going,I dont deal with contracts.Something shifted, because previously he was involved and seems to have been cut out.It all leads back to one man,and i dont give a fuck about training center, the lodge, new stadium,Levy just project managed it,he didnt pay for it,we are leveraged to the arse for decades now and we are meant to bow down to a glorified property investor, yes done a great job unless you think the plan was £450m stadium and we spent a billion. When it comes to sport Levy is a clowns pocket, when it comes to business he is great.Time to work out are we a sporting club or a business.Think we all know the answer to that. You are right, Poch got right umpty with Mike Dean (can't blame him for that),but it was out of character for him so maybe the 'thing' that is going on with the players/Levy/whateverthefuck tipped him over the edge?
Been that way ever since Irvine Scholar/Bobroff after they took the club over from the Wales family. We were the first club to become a publically listed company, signs were there 40 years ago, just a new level now.The problem is that Levy & his group (ENIC) are investors & have a significant interest in this project creating wealth for them.
I cannot see him relinquishing power to someone else, be it Mourinho or Poch, to spend "his / ENIC's" money however that manager or DoF wants.
No way that is going to happen without Levy involved.
