That was fucking brutal..but unlike alot, I'm not going to just blame Mourinho. That's the easy thing to do imo. Most of these so called "Top class" players need to take a serious look at themselves because they haven't performed for this club for nearly 12 months now...and none of them were signed by this manager.
Dont get me wrong, I'm not exactly a Mourinho fan, and the jury is very much out on him but blaming him for the players lack of effort which was there since the CL final last May is ridiculous.
Dele has played well in 4 games since Jose arrived. Before that I could think of 4 games when he played ok over the previous 20 under Poch.. is that acceptable? No it is not. Eriksen has been a passenger...Our £65M record signing (Ndombele)has been very very average...and as for Gazziniga and our international defenders l?....words fail me...
This is not a quick fix. Alot of this squad needs to be cleared out, sold off, or told to get the fuck out....its that simple.
I think this is going to a long road, so I think we have to accept that and give Mourinho time to sort it out......hopefully!

Completely the players need a clear out,when Poch said a painful rebuild was needed oh how they laughed,champions league finalists and that.Clearly the bloke who worked with them for 5½ years would know,but the answer was get rid of the bloke who knew,back the players who failed him,and we are what we are now.
Too many of these just dont hate losing,we used to,now theyre just taking the wage and dont give a fuck it seems.Its hard to say but Jans legs have gone,danny has gone radio,eriksen is doing a sanchez (not davinson)the 2 summer buys are looking brittle,as I said before our least talented midfielder is our best player cos at least he runs around and puts a shift in.,

I think that lack of effort started way before the CL final, it began way back in February, we only won 3 of our last 12 PL games. I don't think Mourinho is the type of manager who is interested in building for the future so giving him time won't help. So, unless Levy bungs unlimited money at him (ha ha ha) to build a side that'll win stuff next season - we are fucked.

Burnley away is when it started for me, we'd just beaten Dortmund 3-0, and won 3 pl games in a row and i remember that Burnley game vividly, we weren't far off the top of the table and we served up a really horrible performance, no energy or invention and that for me is where the rot really started to set in, although those pl games before the Burnley game weren't great, we were reliant on late goals against Watford and Newcastle i think and got away a bit with a 3-1 win against Leicester at Wembley, when they gave us a bit of a tonking but couldn't stick the ball away.
Part of me wouldn't give a fuck if we sold every single one of this lot, barring about 4 or 5 players, even Alli pisses me off, flinging his arms in the arm when he misplaces a pass or one of his fancy flicks doesn't come off. Wish we had gone in for a young progressive manager, oh well think it'll take a good couple of years before we've got rid of all the deadwood and got in some decent replacements.

I haven’t read this whole thread so excuse any repetition. I was at the game yesterday and just found myself frustrated for 90 minutes. We seem to just play the same way, without the ability or guile to change anything when things aren’t working. Combine that with the inability to pass to each other and retain the ball and it becomes painful to watch. Only a few games ago there was a renewing of excitement around the club, we were scoring lots of goals and winning exciting games of football. Now it seems we are back to where we were pre Maureen.
Southampton were ok and worked very hard, as did Norwich and Brighton, but look at those three teams right there, we should be beating those teams easily with the players we have.
I’m not generally one to moan and groan, realistically it’s been just about the best time to be a Spurs fan since the 80’s these past 5 years, but Levy needs to seriously support the manager in the inevitable quest for new fresh talent in the coming months. I never want to watch Vertonghen trying to play left back ever again. We’re too easy to beat and too laborious generally. Major surgery is now needed I think.
ps Lo Celso looked like he was putting in a shift when he came on. Well done.

Burnley was the turning point. Prior to that game we had won 18 from 22 -carrying on like that would have won us the title last season, then we just stopped, fuck knows why.

As I said in my previous post, I'm not defending Mourinho at all. But, I honestly feel alot of our players are not up to scratch and they're simply not good enough. If you were to put all the players up for sale, youd get what you want for Kane & Son, but outside of them, youd be doing well to get anything near your asking price for any of them imo. I AM surprised Mourinho hasn't organised us better, especially at the back. I don't know why he insists on playing Vert out of position when Sess could play there and move him back alongside Toby. I still think Sissoko would make a cracking RB too but there you go...
We need to be the busiest club in the January window imo...we need fresh faces badly.

Trouble is you can’t buy any quality in January. Summer is the time to buy to get quality - we probably need Champions League though because Levy won’t stump up stupid wages......and that’s not looking likely.
will Sánchez make the grade? Foyth? Sessegnon? Lo Celso, N’Dombele? Dele needs to take the next step up,

We won't be playing Champions League next season and once Kane hands in his transfer request it is all over. And you know what, he should get the fuck out whilst he is still at the top of his game. The problem is that Levy & his group (ENIC) are investors & have a significant interest in this project creating wealth for them.
I cannot see him relinquishing power to someone else, be it Mourinho or Poch, to spend "his / ENIC's" money however that manager or DoF wants.

Been that way ever since Irvine Scholar/Bobroff after they took the club over from the Wales family.We were the first club to become a publically listed company,signs were there 40 years ago,just a new level now.
If we could just limit Levy to not even talking to the players it would help.
