Really angry, don’t usually get this cross but that was very poor on every level. Learnt nothing from Watford. That is just not good enough.

Good game from Aurier. That’s it.

We have 3 of the best central defenders in the world but we can't defend corners. There is something broken in this team. The defeat itself isn't a disaster, but the manner in which we pissed it away certainly is. Something, something cows watching a train. Problems is Poch isn't learning any more than the players.

A few thoughts or explanations........World Cup? tiredness or jaded - 9 players that got to the semifinals, nah we beat United 3-0 and won the first 3 games, and should have beaten Watford. Maybe the United game made us over confident? Don’t know.

I think the saying that you need to improve and ‘freshen’ the squad when your doing well is the answer. It’s a long way from any sort of disaster, obviously and we’ve finished in the top 3 of the league in the last 3 years - against bigger and financially stronger clubs - a fantastic achievement, but we look a bit stale. Moura is realistically the only new player and he’s been some find this season.

We also need the stadium finished and move in. I think the whole squad, manager and his team have been deflated. That would have been a freshen up in itself, but I’m thinking it’s draining everyone at the moment, then Hugo had to apologise to everyone. It’s straws and camels back at the moment. We need to knuckle down work hard and all pick ourselves up. We’ve had some brilliant times in the past few years, so this is nothing in overall context, but it feels wrong somehow and a downer because of that recent success.

Hope Poch and the whole team fix it quick and the Chairman gets his end of the bargain done. There’s too many little things that seem to be mounting up, not just Trains and Cows.

Best take on things I’ve read so far Don, couldn’t agree more. I was worried the bad mojo with the new stadium and all might sweep into one or two of the first three fixtures, but we managed to get good results in those. As you say, it’s a collection of little things that are concerning. We have a good manager and good players, but the mistakes have to get cut out, and overall they’re a little less than the sum of their parts, which is very uncharacteristic under Poch

I'm surprised you've not heard of Nainggolan?

You know, Belgian, midfielder, mohawk and lots of tattoos, including a fairly bold neck tattoo
I have. I couldn't pronounce it so gave up. I thought he played for Roma too.

By all accounts we were the better side second half. I can't comment as I've only seen the goal highlights. We just seem to have lost a bit of our bottle at the moment.

It looks like about 80% effort sometimes, very weird. We had that game won last night. Maybe that was the problem, it wasn't over.

We were the better side, full stop. Should have been a couple up and were really controlling things.

And then we fucked it up completely.

2nd half game was ours, some strange subs taking Lamela off we lost some bite and finally Kane off for Rose just before injury time was weird mostly because we lost height from set pieces, they had a deluge of corners at the end, even Llorente would have been helpful when air-ially under the cosh.
Its more out of luck and composure, once again our passing was awful, its not like we are playing on a non-league pitch.

Still nice to see all the 20 somethings and millenials losing their shit 1st bad run we`ve had in half a decade, and graham roberts offering them all out.Think I preferred the old days, lose and sulk for a week, now you just get your nose rubbed in it by every cunt on social media.Everyones a fucking expert nowadays!!

Good news is I still think we'll go through. Bad news is we'll probably get wrecked in the knockout rounds. @Don Diaz point about the stadium is spot on. I think it deflated the entire club top to bottom. Time to work that out now!

Given how utterly shit we’ve been playing in the most part this season, if it wasn’t for set pieces we’d still be unbeaten!

Thought 2nd half we looked electrifying, ok, maybe a little over the top but given the crap we’ve served up this season, that was about as comfortable as i’ve felt watching us this season. It’s almost surreal watching us at the moment, it’s the complete opposite of what we’ve seen over the last 3 years. Pretty much every game, has felt like an end of season game where you know you’re gonna finish mid table, so nothing really to play for.

I feel tired just watching us!

Well hopefully Lyon will hold on in the second half and take us out of the negative headlines for a while.
