I'm taking it with a huge pinch of salt but I read somewhere that the compensation that would be due if we appointed him would be "only" £15m.

Wasn't there a provision in Poch's USA contract that he could go to Spurs without compensation if they came calling?

I think I have a vague recollection of something like that. But I suppose something like that would maybe have to be down to the right timing.

".. and then my pants came down.." should just be used in every day life after the end of most sentences 😂

I doubt it, because much of his contract was financed by a hedge fund manager here in the States. He's paid over $6 million. A little less than Tuchel I think, but massive wages for a USA manager.

I've also just read this morning that someone has claimed that to get him out of his contract would allegedly cost a "lot" more than the £21m Chelsea paid Brighton to get Graham Potter.

Sadly, he's never coming back so long as Levy is here. He openly challenged Levy's management of the club, and Levy responded by firing him. And I highly doubt Poch would even want to return. Though hoping the USMNT breaks him so badly he wants to return! Fingers crossed.

He's stated that he would love to return one day and that he had unfinished business, and i dont doubt that.....but it would be an appointment that Levy knows will get fans off his back....for the foreseeable at least.
If Poch is a success, he does what alot of fans want and he's the man!!!, if Poch fails, it justifies his sacking and gets to say i told you so..He doesn't lose.
Still think there's alot of fans that wouldn't want Poch back too though. He had the best Spurs squad since the early 80's, had 5 years and won nothing when there were alot of top clubs in transition.
Personally I think certain managers "fit" certain clubs. I think that's the case with us and Mauricio.
