Reading earlier that Frank and Lange have met regarding transfers. If it's true then it's an indication the board have no plans to make a change any time soon.

Player in Training.
When is a manager going to come in and recognise repositioning players like we did with Bale. How has Frank not even considered Micky van de ven as out and out striker. Then recall Vuskovic for cover at the back. We have been needing a striker for ages and he is right there in the squad.

Welcome @Samuelsp
It's a fair point. I thought that myself tbh. He wouldn't work as Bale did in a free role but as an out n' out centre forward, I don't see why not. If you look at Haaland, his power is similar, his pace is better than Haaland's, and he's proven he can finish when he gets an opportunity.
I always thought Sissoko could've made a brilliant right wing back...but maybe the player's themselves just don't fancy it....who knows.

The fact we've seen Romero seemingly arbitrarily do exactly that when we're chasing a goal (on more than one occasion this season) tells such a damming story about the capability of our attacking players, the influence Romero has in being able to throw away our formation to do this and the lack of trust they have in Frank to win them games tactically.

I said this in the match thread it's Sunday league shit, and it worked at the weekend to get us a point so arguably my point is somewhat mute, but we shouldn't be relying on all the bullshit Sunday league nonsense to get a point against relegation fodder sides... Unless we are one and the same.

We're a shambles under Frank, he was never the right man for the job... He was the least worst option as no one wanted to work with Levy or this clubs penny pinching board.

I know the popular argument is that "it wouldn't make any difference" sacking Frank but Michael Carrick has gotten a couple of good wins out of the same underperfoming squad in his first two games.

Even if we did bring Ryan Mason back until the end of the season, at least he's someone who would likely want the team to actually play a bit of football.

Whatever they're going to do, they need to go ahead and do it, because it's getting boring. Make the call.

My personal feeling is that if the board did absolutely nothing, we'd probably finish somewhere around lower mid-table, which is not good enough, but pretty much par for the course for a very young, imbalanced squad whose best attacking players are central defenders.

Fuck... How have I never seen that...!!! I will not call him Cunté from now on... Maybe...

Every word of that rings true...
And Conte's squad that day was led by two of the five leading scorers in the history of the club, both of whom have gone without replacement. Take Kane, who won the golden boot that year, out of the squad, and that team would've been lucky to finish 15th.

Danish Viaplay won't be getting any more interviews with Thomas Frank. Tottenham will boycott the channel as per BT reports.

The Danish newspaper (BT) noted that Viaplay, the rights holders of the Premier League in Denmark, failed to get an interview with the Danish Tottenham manager Thomas Frank after the miraculous turn around vs Manchester City on Sunday.

When BT contacted Viaplay Danmark it turns out that it wasn't a coincidence.

  • It's correct and unfortunate that we haven't been able to show our viewers an interview with Thomas Frank . Tottenham have told us that Thomas Frank will not be available for any interviews says Kim Mikkelsen, senior vice president and nordic sports director at Viaplay.
"We didn't do anything wrong"

The reason is said to be that the Danish channel were simply too critical of Frank with their last batch of questions.

  • You should ask Tottenham for the reason, but from what we've been told they are angry about questions asked in previous interviews about the pressure of being Tottenham manager and if he felt support from the club and the fans says Mikkelsen to the newspaper (BT) and continues:
  • It came as a surprise to us, we don't feel we've done anything wrong. That's just how it is right now.
To try and rectify the situation the Viaplay director contacted Tottenham to explain the situation but so far nothing has changed.

  • We have to respect the situation and do keep reporting from the given circumstances and we hope to be allowed to interview Thomas Frank in the future, says Mikkelsen.
BT have contacted Tottenham who declined to comment on the situation. Instead they gave a short statement that Thomas Frank isn't contractually obligated to do interviews and Conor Gallagher was instead made available as per the stipulation of their contract with Viaplay.

The last interview frank did with Viaplay was after the defeat to West Ham and seemingly one or more of these questions offended him and Tottenham to such a degree that Danish fans no longer have access to Thomas Franks interviews.

-Lots of frustration in the stands tonight with fans singing pretty evil (more like nasty) songs, does that affect you and the players?

  • Mathys Tel was playing well, why was he taken off, was he injured?
  • Have you been made aware that your team selection has been leaked?
  • Are you feeling the pressure of having to turn your current form around faster than you have been?
The segment ends with a cut to a Viaplay presenter saying: "You've got to feel for him, the pressure must be huge"

Yeah Sky Sports have got the story now and even Alasdair Gold is confirming it. I suppose the Club Statement is coming.

So happy he's gone. I might be able to start watching the games again.

Big decision now though I suppose. Obviously we need an interim but do they offer it to Poch now to start after the World Cup ?

Remember... While Frank is an abject failure as a manger for us, he is not the root and stem problem...
