The lad obviously has quality. Just couldn't finish on the big occasions and I'd rather be playing. When you think of cheap signings that came good like Van der Vaart, they did the business against the scum. Also, players only get worse after a loan move becomes permanent.

He has pace... And no end product.

He isn't quality. He is a cheap signing that no one else wanted.

People laughed when we signed him on loan because he has been utterly shite since the breakout season where he got his big move...

If we sign him it's a clean sign out out intent to buy cheap shit again.

He is no where near good enough.

He scored more than a goal every other game in Germany in his first time there if I recall correctly. I remember I wanted to sign him before he went to Chelsea. Some of his goals that he did score for us in training and in Germany were world class. Something is wrong when it comes to basic finishing in the Premier League against the big clubs but like Dele for example I'd say it is 90% a mental thing and not due to his actual ability/quality to produce 1 in 2 games at a high level.

All of that said, I don't think Ange has raised his game enough so unless there is a finishing clause in his contract I don't think it is worth it.

You could if requested. He didn't start enough games to warrant inclusion but I have them . It's not so much his average but what his highs were, his potential. Could he produce more of those highs with more game time ?

Werner started 5 games and averaged 5.85 which is poor but peaked at 6.97 and 7.60. IMO that gives some encouragement for the future and I think he is around 15 mil.

I read that we've been paying his full wages though, and that makes him among the highest earners at the club. Not my money, so I couldn't care less, but seems weird for Levy and co.

We should be getting Werner off the payroll, cashing in on Sonny if an offer was to come. Bring Eze in to play on the left and go and get Toney down the middle. Job done.
