And you know he’ll wait until about 80 minutes on the clock before making any changes.

Sometimes you see a player fall away so alarmingly that it’s actually sad.

I hope we aren’t seeing that with Sonny but he looks completely cooked to me.

Is Solanke fit?

If so, what the fuck is Ange waiting for?

This is not fucking acceptable. Look at the body language...they all look beaten already. No leaders, nobody shouting...nothing. Absolute shite.

You could argue we’ve entered a familiar end-game.

The fan unrest will be what does for Ange.

We have made 2 or 3 really good chances in this game. Hopefully we can move up a couple of gears

The subs plus having a proper no. 9 have definitely helped us up the tempo.

It’s been a cracking game as both teams have been as good as each other I.e., not very good!!

I suppose the problem we could well have by playing Porro into the floor is that when the inevitable injury comes it’ll likely be a season ender.

Postecoglou on Timo Werner: "He wasn't playing anywhere near the levels he can. When you've got 18-year-olds, it's not acceptable to me. I told him that. He's a senior international, a German international. In the moment we're in now, I need everyone to be at least going out there and giving the best they can. What he produced wasn't acceptable. When I'm asking the younger players to do massive jobs, I expect more from the senior players like him."

Digging out a player publicly is always a good way to get the dressing room behind you, but then this is also very familiar ground that usually ends up with us looking for a new manager. Again.

Only saw the 2nd half so here are some observations.

1. that's my first glimpse of Rangers this season. Their intensity & pressing is impressive. If they had done that all first half, bravo to them. They got the premier league memo on how to challenge us.
2. There's a real spark missing from Spurs. We're thin on quality depth, therefore we're running our players into the ground & it's really starting to show.

A positive is that we fought back & got something out of it despite the fatigue.
Johnson may be getting on the end of some crosses but his overall ball skills are very limited. Players like him rely on their speed but once that disappears they have very little to show.
Fans need to reappraise Forster. Need to cut him more slack as he's done well thus far.
Kulu is our leader. Nobody matches his fight, skill, & vision with the ball. Our MVP thus far.

Wow, he publicly destroyed the guy?

I’ll have to find a replay of his press conference because that is a fair dressing down and is a complete u-turn on his comments yesterday (re Romero) about keeping this sort of stuff in house.

If this is what was said then Werner has been harshly dealt with and it’s just not necessary that it happen publicly.

And further to this, if Ange is going to single out Werner then someone needs to explain to me how Maddison escapes scrutiny for his bullshit performance.

Tap in merchant Brennan Johnson can also do one. The guy offers nothing in general play.

I think Ange is showing cracks all over the place but throwing your players under a bus by making public remarks like that to a player who is already low on confidence is no way to get the dressing room onside.

@Style And Glory is 100%. Kulo is the one that will grab the game by the balls and grab the players by the scuff of the neck. But he's the only one. The rest of them are not leaders, and haven't got the character for what it takes imo. Forster has been first class. Fair play to him. Personally I'd have him ahead of Vicario. More confidence in him under a high ball anyway with bodies everywhere.
I keep saying it again and again but the one player that would've really given us a foothold in midfield and lead by example would've been Hojberg. We just don't have any proper cunts in the team. And we need a couple. Lamela was one, Deli at his best was one. We've got nobody with a bit about them.
Bissouma, Bentancur or Maddison couldn't tackle a dinner. Maddison spends most of his time rolling on the floor.
If Ange gets to the Jan window, he needs to be supported. An aggressive sitting midfielder would be my priority. But we need 3, 4 more windows and major investment to have a competitive squad that can get further up the table. We're no better than top 8 lads. Look at the squad ?? That's it. That's where we are.
Fur coat and no fucking knickers!

Our best players tonight (and really for the last two games) were two 18-year olds and a goalkeeper who’s twice their age. I am very worried about the Southampton game.

We are getting to the point with Deki that it is Gareth Bale era carrying of the team on his shoulders stuff. The guy is a beast, a genuine “never say die” old school proper footballer. Without him, well who knows where we’d fucking be.

I know there are mitigating circumstances here and it’s impossible to fairly judge either overworked or injured players but there aren’t many who get a pass mark so far this season. And there are one or two guys who should be standing up to be counted who instead run for the hills when it all gets a bit tough.

This is exactly what I was going to mention. I reckon we'll hear about it this weekend. It's funny cause Ange isn't a fiery guy in an interview so it didn't sound that bad, but that kinda made it worse!
