Let's put in a cheeky bid for Rashford....just so the kid knows he has a future!! He could learn so much from Poch and Kane...I'd laugh my tits off if we started bidding for United players, hilarious.

Lol, I sent an email to Levy about a year ago when we were about to play United and suddenly lots of stories came out about them buying Kane. I said why not catch them off guard by asking for Rashford first. He replied something along the lines of "thanks for your input", lol.

I tell you what though. If United go out this summer throwing big cash at big name forwards (e.g. Griezmann) then Rashford will surely be worried about game time and it may well be worth a shot. I'm pretty confident that, if Rashford would contemplate ANY other club than Man Utd right now, it would surely be Spurs

Have to say, I think Douglas Costa would be an amazing signing. He goes back to what I was saying before, a player with real experience at the top level but who isn't necessarily the biggest name.

For all our talent going forward, we do sometimes lack a bit of pace and trickery. Costa would bring both in spades! I don't really understand why Ancelotti has not used him more this season, Costa was one of the unsung stars of Pep's Bayern who destroyed the Bundesliga.

There might be a few concerns about attitude - and that is something we do NOT want at Spurs. However, whilst there have been questions in this regard I don't think Costa is by any means difficult to handle and pretty confident Poch would straighten him out easily.

Still, I got my heart set on Dolberg, lol. I dream of watching Spurs on the attack with a front line Kane, Alli, Eriksen and Dolberg - Saxon and Dane in perfect harmony! That would be one exciting bunch to go and watch, with an average age of just 22!

Mate that is 100% my train of thought...!!!

He'd be perfect if he'd take his chances from the and in cup games.

Tottenham have made offer for Spanish star, would be amazing signing
By

Tottenham Hotspur are one of a host of European clubs to have made an offer for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, according to Spanish newspaper AS.

Spurs are closing in on a second consecutive top-four finish, with Mauricio Pochettino surely looking to strengthen this summer ahead of another Champions League campaign.

The Premier League side are overly reliant on Harry Kane as the team’s main striker and have struggled to find an able deputy or partner in recent years.

Netherlands international Vincent Janssen was signed last summer but has found English football hard to adapt to, while Son Heung-min can play as the furthest man forward but is more suited in an attacking midfield role.

Morata returned to Madrid last summer after a stint at Juventus but has found first-team football fleeting at the Santiago Bernabeu this season.

The report suggests that the Spain international centre forward will leave his boyhood club this summer and is not short of offers from across Europe and China.

If Tottenham were able to convince Morata to move to White Hart Lane it would be a major coup in the summer window.

I'd say highly unlikely mate. He'll cost an absolute fortune and I doubt with the stadium being built, that Levy would sanction that kind of money on one guy, who may not even start if we were to get him. He'd also likely be able to at least double his wages at some of the other clubs interested in him.

Finally and maybe a little controversial, as he may come good and become a top striker but I don't think he's good enough to break the bank for, his record isn't that impressive.

Player in Training.
The Guardian suggest Spurs' scouts have been watching Jean Michaël Seri this season. "Tottenham have watched the player several times this season, with his representative understood to have been in London last week to informally meet officials of the Premier League club"

Yeah, saw a similar story.
They say that he has been integral to Nice's success & that Arsenal, PSG & Barcelona are interested as well.

The curious part is that it further states: Seri has "a release clause of £33M but Nice would be willing to let him go to Spurs for £20M".

You need to take this sort of rumour with a pinch of salt, he's Ivorian and the other day it was being reported we were cooling our interest in Zaha because he would be off to the African Cup of nations every two years.

they never qualify lol
I think trick is to limit the numbers you have, start losing 2 or 3 regular players to AFCON and its a recipe for disaster overall.

Don't agree with that... if they are good enough to make a difference for 85% of the season then you get them and find a solution for the remaining 15%

Got a feeling we might keep GKN and sell N'Jie as he is to return from loan this summer. But Sissoko I think will be sold as long as we can find a buyer. I've got a feeling this summer is going to be difficult to buy the players we want to improve but hopefully Levy is happy to spend a bit of dosh, won't hold my breath though.

Koudo has serious potential imo. I'd "Poch" him all day long and see what happens.

Sisoko however.... Meh.

Monaco have a young team throughout...and Leverkusen players seem to do well at Wembley....let's get one each from them. That would be within budget and wages I would imagine....

I thought both Bernardo Silva and Julian Brandt were good against us. There's another lad called bakayoko who looks alright too. Let's just wait and see though. I think we'll get a couple of 10-20 million pound signings in early and will hold a larger chunk for the last few days of the window, just hope it serves a better purpose than the Sissoko money did.

Talk of Sanchez trading Arsenal for Bayern.
If true, that may make Douglas Costa expendable. I think he could be frighteningly good here.
Possibly the best type of player we could expect here given our budget.

From the BBC gossip page

Manchester United are considering approaching Paul Mitchell, who found Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli, after he resigned from his role as Spurs' head of recruitment. (Manchester Evening News)

Brilliant bit of fake news and a great example of why you shouldn't believe the shit they post in the media.
ps if you didn't know it was David Pleat that 'found' Dele Alli......

No - it's just that their story is incorrect regarding Mitchell. Also the real brains at Southampton is Les Read.

No worries Don. I understood. Was just acting like one of those journos generating a story.

So APPARENTLY according to a Spanish paper, Real and Barca are interested in Sissoko. Load of wank but it would amuse me very much if a bidding war ensued and we got £40 mill for him!!

I imagine Poch and Levy will have a good look over the Wolfsburg squad over the summer if they go down. Strong possibility now. Bazoer was a highly rated youngster only a year ago, I don't know enough about their squad to know if I'd want of them.

@Dustin @spursman18 @J.spurs No doubt with the NFL and Nike tie ups,and seemingly a push into the US for fanbase, the club must be gagging for a good prospect from MLS to emerge, anyone we should be thinking about?I accept it maybe more of a marketing signing and thats if Poch would wear that!,and how is CCV`s profile in the states?

CCV isn't that well known over here, simply because he's grown up in England. Most of our best players are with European clubs, with by far the best being Dortmund's Christian Pulisic. Honestly I can't think of anyone who would make us better other than him. He's a regular in their starting XI.
