According to El Confidencial, Spurs are ready to rival London rivals West Ham in the pursuit of Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez.

The Uruguayan is seen as an ideal replacement for the departing Fernando Llorente – who looks set to leave north London as a free agent this summer – though comes with a €50m exit clause.

However, with Celta currently battling to stay in LaLiga – they are currently 17th in the table – the terms of his contract will see his exit fee halve in the event of their demotion. And the potential €25m asking price is music to savvy Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy’s ears, with the club ready to sanction his signing.

The striker has been Celta’s shining light over the past couple of seasons, having hit 28 LaLiga goals in 62 starts since joining from Defensor Sporting in 2017.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are reported to have settled on Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen as the man they want to replace Toby Alderweireld this summer.

Borussia Dortmund are prepared to listen to offers for midfielder Julian Weigl, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

The 23-year-old midfielder was struggling for minutes in the first half of the season and has been more of a key figure in the squad since the winter months.

But Weigl’s future at Dortmund has been under the scanner and Tottenham showed an interest in signing the midfielder during the January transfer window.

Arsenal are considering a shock swoop to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld from under the noses of Manchester United, according to a report in England.
The Sun, as quoted by talkSPORT, is reporting that the Gunners are ready to launch a bid to sign the Belgium international in a cut-price deal at the end of the season.

The same article states that Alderweireld will be available to sign for £25m after Spurs activated a clause by extending the 30-year-old’s contract at the start of the 2018-19 season.

According to the same story, Arsenal are keeping tabs on the Belgian star’s situation given that Unai Emery has a limited budget to spend in the summer.

Arsenal could face competition from Manchester City and Manchester United given that both clubs are looking to reinforce their defence in the summer, the report adds.

I’d like Tielemans, but anyone for the midfield will do. We have quite a few brittle players at the moment (Winks, Dier, Wanyama, Lamela) so we need cover for when they are on the treatment table. Or maybe we just need more treatment tables.

The squirrel has heard that Levy has promised Poch a 'war chest' of £150m, like he promised transfer dealings wouldn't be affected by the stadium build. The only caveat is that the war chest is available after 'player sales'. So if anyone wants to buy Pepe, Sessegnon, Zaha a black french winger and Grealish, Then we have to sell Trippier, Aurier, N'koudou, Llorente, Janssen and Lamela first.

Youd think after them all being here with splinters in their arse for what seems like years, their moves would already be all but done.

Trips troubles me, I think we should keep him and Llorente has been useful at times.

Makes sense to be fair to Levy, he's never gonna splash out the cash then have loads of unwanted players sat around earning money for nothing, not a good business model. Think we'll have a good summer this year.
