Looked like our best player in the pre season games I've watched...Solomon to West Ham confirmed. £5m with £2m in add-ons and 10% sell-on clause.
Proper player... One of the only ones who never went missing during the troubles.
Still only going one way since that Europa League final... At least he has that.
They can get fucked for €25m...
Fair criticism...It's funny if you look back. Most of us were complaining that we never sold anyone and had players hanging around on big contracts taking up squad places.
Now we're actually moving people on, we're still complaining ..
Although I'd also like to keep Spence, for the record.
Yeah, you're right, I mean successful clubs move useful players along, not just dead wood. And as Dave points out, he wants to go somewhere else. Put it this way: if the money's put elsewhere in the squad, then fair enough. It's funny if you look back. Lol, I don't think you I or Gray himself want him to be anywhere fucking near Fullback...Yeah, you're right, I mean successful clubs move useful players along, not just dead wood. I guess it boils down to the fact that I think he's better than Udogie and Robertson. And it's not ideal if Porro is injured, though I guess this means the second-string RB position is Gray's for the time being.
That's who it would be, though. And you're right about the versatility--that's been a problem for a lot of young players over the years. Eric Dier under Poch, for example. One week he was in midfield, the next at CB, then on the right.Lol, I don't think you I or Gray himself want him to be anywhere fucking near Fullback...
I know he is versatile, but if we fuck him around on the regular, he will have clubs all over the world after his services...
seems very cheap.... especially in this transfer window, with some of the previous deals around the Leagues... not to.mention he's an International player and had a good World Cup... only good thing is Levy must be pulling his hair( singular) outTerrible business here
Is it?Terrible business here
GrayDumbest club on earth. Now we have no backup RB.
Selling him to a rival? Yeah that would be really smartCould have sold him to a PL club at a premium but that would be smart.
So we should - although the attack needs bolsteringWe'll hold on to Solanke though. Briliant.
Gray is a midfielder, Liverpool are really not our rival, Solanke blows, and we sold Spence for way below his value. There is no pretty way to spin this.Gray

We moan when we don't move on players that are deemed surplus to requirements as the price is too high, we also moan when we move on those players if we perceive the price to be too low.
I don't think moving on Spence is a good move, however, I do think he felt the need to move... so £35m is decent money IMO if that's all anyone was willing to pay.
