He is very impressive. He is a 19-year-old left-back, very physically strong. Great footballer and very versatile. He defends well and attacks well.
Can go on the outside and can also cut in on the inside. He has had a difficult debut season, playing for Santos in a relegation battle and they only just avoided relegation.
Santos, on the one hand, you have the tradition of Pele and the greatest club side in the world at one point but on the other side they represent a small city. The fans are so demanding.
For him to come through, fighting relegation, and doing very well, it speaks volumes. He is already on the radar of Carlo Ancelotti for the Brazil team."
Spurs could and would spend up to £200m this window if agreements can be reached on their key targets. The club are enamoured with Adam Wharton as the long-term solution for the deep-lying playmaker role and are actively working on a deal. This one is expected to take time, as Crystal Palace are currently light on numbers and need to bring players in before sanctioning any potential departure. Yan Diamonde and Kenan Yildiz are two players we believe could be genuinely game-changing signings. Conversations are ongoing with RB Leipzig and Juventus respectively. Neither move has been ruled out, and Spurs are prepared to spend significant money to secure the right one, (don’t be greedy and think we are trying to sign both players, shall only be one). Defensive balance is also a priority. A left-footed centre-back is seen as key, with Castello Lukeba viewed as a dream signing. El Chadaille Bitshiabu is considered a strong alternative, and there is a real belief internally that he could develop into an exceptional player. The Lewis family believe we can claim a top five spot in the league this season and go deep in the Champions League with the right recruitment. The Lewis family are determined to make any marches against them look increasingly ill-judged, they will deliver.
This is utter delusion if true...The Lewis family believe we can claim a top five spot in the league this season and go deep in the Champions League with the right recruitment. The Lewis family are determined to make any marches against them look increasingly ill-judged, they will deliver.
One name that popped into my head today was Ward -Prowse...not getting a look in with Nuno. Only 31, proven quality midfielder and deadball specialist...why don't we have a look ??Give me someone with premier league experience, please
I think it would free Spence, who is right-sided, to rotate with Porro. Udogie is a natural left-sided player, though I think he came up as a wing back rather than a fullback.I don't have a huge issue with the Robertson deal but let's be real, it's just to replace Ben Davies. Porro will probably continue to be played until he literally dies on the pitch.
I think it also suggests that the club are planning to send Souza out on loan almost immediately as well.
In a perfect world, Robertson and Porro would rotate at LB and Udogie could play in his natural position as a RB.
