Even if you disregard the actual people and their politics, it seems a bit stark raving mental, if not criminally negligent for the ruling party in Westminster to enter an agreement with either side in that region, Sinn Fein or the DUP (who said I can't be diplomatic, I didn't name the place because I know I will offend some folks if I call that place what I call it in the privacy of my own home). This could lead to bloodshed and if it does that blood will be on Theresa May's hands. As I have been saying for yonks, that May woman is a real nasty bit of work, this proves it beyond doubt, she cares not one single fuck for anyone, all that matters is her career and her staying in power.

I didn't go to university until I was 45, had to pay for everything myself, and now I have some fancy letters I could use if I wanted, whoopdiddoo, don't tell that wolfcunt bloke in the other place, he likes to think he's the only one with a edjookation. It would have been mental going when I was a teenager because I really didn't give a fuck then and was much happier earning money for beer and drugs. There were loads of jobs back then and walking into one at 16 straight out of school was easy, and my parents had fuck bleeding all so they couldn't pay for my further education even if I had wanted to be brainwashed.
I have made it my life's work to fuck up younger people by voting for anything that would benefit them of, except Brexit of course, I must have made a mistake on that one and voted for the best option for all those horrible young fuckers, remain. If those lazy arsed fuckers had voted in the fucking referendum then maybe we would not be in this mess and instead of running away like cunts we could be working to make the EU better. It is a mess and needs sorting out, but the mess we are in now and will be in the next few years in my opinion is and will be far worse.

They need to look at what they are offering as essentially while they did well they still didn't do anywhere near enough. Maybe Corbyn needs to go to and they can focus on forming a more moderate Labour shadow government.
IDFK what will happen now.... I don't know how we can let that mob I to the house of commons in all honesty. Will that happen? What will the terms of the coalition be? This proportional representation thing has to happen.

Fuck off, not just one and I ain't telling you! I will tell you I did achieve a Cycling Proficiency badge AND got Bronze, Silver and Gold swimming medals in lifesaving and survival, I used to wear them all and was told by the Headmaster that a 'gentleman only wears his top honour' so I added my school swimming captain medal, Tufty Club and Robertson's Golly badges as well. I was a right rebel!
But like @Yid said, the qualifications I got later in life have not really helped me financially or in my career as I do what I have always done, tap away at my keyboard doing computer stuff, I don't got no clever bits of paper about 'puter stuff I learned myself all that old bollox. I got fucked off with the whispy bearded blokes in sandals taking years to write a simple bit of code, so I printed out what they did, realised it was farking obvious and started doing their jobs, I got promoted and sacked the cunts. Then I went to evening classes, the course was on structured programming, a system invented by Michael Jackson, a different one I suspect, the bloke 'teaching' the course was a wally so I ended up teaching the class because to me it was all so obvious, it might help that I am probably on the 'scale' wot they measure Aspebergers and Autism on. Mrs D thinks so and she knows everything.
We don't need no education, we don't need no thought control, what we really need is just a bit of critical thinking, I used to teach that as well! It is amazing, you can stand in front of a class of adults, tell them they should never take anything they are told on face value and they should first think, investigate, analyse, do the same for any opposite view then decide, then you tell them something fucking ridiculous and they all write it down, accepting it without thinking. 87% of adults do this, the other 14% are only in the class because it is a compulsory part of their course and will get the credit for just being there.
I don't expect people to go off and read peer reviewed studies on stuff, I do, but I am a bit odd. It would be nice though if people did just a bit of very high level thinking about the stuff they believe then tweet around the world cos they read it their daily comic. Some looney the other day told me that ALL the muslims in this country want to kill us, the 'Christians', it's in their bible. I asked him how many muslims and what the difference was between their bible and his was. Fucking hundreds, they should all be locked up and deported, the proper Bible wot God wrote does not tell people to kill unbeliever slike the raghead one does. I smiled, resisted the urge to smash my beer glass into his face and walked away to see if there was anyone in my local pub with more than one brain cell, sadly not, Dorset is not famous for critical thinking.

Ms May has shown that she really doesn't give a fuck what anyone else says and she wants total Presidential style power (without checks and balances). She needs to listen and moderate the fuck out of her attitude. Corbin has gone full-metal-socialist and he needs to listen to the folks who tell him that just maybe his ideals would bankrupt the country. Both sides have very good ideas, both sides have very mental ideas. May has really shot herself in the head. If she goes ahead with this alliance with the DUP then she will hand a loaded gun to Corbin who will pull the trigger in the next election campaign, which I think will be in the Autumn. Anyone wavering or undecided will probably quite rightly decide they don't want to vote for someone who would do a deal with a party that goes against nearly all of the decent values we have worked hard in this country to achieve. She will have pissed all over the Good Friday agreement which called for 'rigorous impartiality' from Westminster in NI.
YES to PR mate. It is stark raving fucking mental that the DUP can hold the balance of power - 10 seats with less than 1% of the UK votes, while the Green Party get just one seat with almost double then number of votes! Caroline Lucas is the only party leader I would trust, but until we get a fair electoral system there is no chance she will get a meaningful say in the price of fish. If people were given two choices then I think a massive number of votes would go green, most people don't vote for them because they think it would be a wasted vote, and they are right under the current system.

I will simplify the chat on education/qualifications by saying what you and Yid say is same as I hold,experience beats exam qualifications hands down.The point of education as I see it as is enabling you to learn by yourself,during and later in life,yes specific high end skills physics,mathematic high end stuff,sciences and so on,or the progression to be a tutor educating others and various other examples that disprove what I say as somethings need extra mentoring above being self taught yes exisit,but education or the system shows you the process to use to enhance yourself however you choose.You or anyone doesnt need schoöl,college,uni for that,I worked with many graduates who came in after me,and for all their Bsc,masters never learnt to actually learn,problem solve,adapt and conquer,because seems they get programmed to being told their stuff rather than working it out themselves.I have a puny HND,some people have nothing on paper,its how your brain connects to work shit out that defines you not what a system shits out after 16 years.That is why teaching should be one of our most valued trades,teach others how to learn,not merely remember facts,theories,equations and so on.And then the ability to create or be creative can you teach that or just help a persons process reach it?
Teaching is an underpaid,under appreciated career,forget future doormen who want to head off to far flung climates,meet and kill exotic other persons,teachers who make the difference are heroes.

I agree with Corbyn on that, but I do not know how it would be paid for, maybe if it were calculated by a clever person they would realise that a better educated workforce might be more productive, earn money and so pay more tax so it would pay for itself? I don't think education should be free for media studies, theology, philosophy etc., if people want a BA in Art History, then they can pay for it. Looking at the NHS, we are so short of qualified nurses they they have to use Agency nurses from all over the world, this costs a fucking fortune and the fucking feds are withdrawing the bursaries that make it remotely possible for people to do these vital jobs.
I don't want a fast train to Birmingham from London, I give zero fucks about that. I don't want people to live all nice and comfy off the state when they are able to work. I do want nurses and doctors and ambulances driven by paramedics. I do want children to leave school knowing how to read and write. I do want engineers, scientists, doctors, nurses to be educated without being burdened with debt. I do want plenty of Plod on the streets protecting me and everyone else. I don't want a missile that we could never use - first strike or revenge, both are sickening to me and the threats we face in the modern world not the sort you can lob bombs at. I do want a 'strong and stable' economy that isn't destroyed by silly socialist penalties. I do want to see tax avoiders, big corporations and individuals, punished and the money collected. I don't want a special relationship with the USA - until they get rid of that nazi lunatic. I don't want the world fucked up by pollution.
I want a balanced. middle ground, fair society that does not see its trading partners and neighbours as enemies who have to be beaten in negotiations. That is my manifesto for the coming autumn elections, vote for me, I am less mental than the others!

Bruv that's what I studied in and jogged it on before ever seeking gainful employment because I realised.......... it was fucking shit.
I have taught some of the most difficult people in society over the years and I love being able to contribute to someone becoming more. It's an amazing feeling watching people grow in front of your eyes as you explain a system or process and hold their hand as they work their way through it in their own way. Once they do that it's in there... they then have the knowledge and I always tell people that it's only useful if you use it and pass it on... oherwise it does nothing, was a waste of time and dies,
I did 4 years at evening classes to get a teaching degree and have literally never used it because of the methods, structure and unrealistic expectations.
One thing it did do was enable me to confidently articulate my vocabulary which for someone who uses the words fuck and cunt like commas is surprisingly rangey... (I like making up words too and my spelling is wank).
It's all a load of old shit because if you are a clever geezer and have the ability to critically analyse events, situations and problems you can transfer those skill to absolutely anything.
I 100% agree that teachers should be the absolute best of the best. That does not mean the cleverest of cunts we have as most of them fuckers are on the scale and can't communicate for shit. They should have the knowledge and enable learning to take place. That could be through any/all mediums to ensure all are catered for.
For me teachers are as important as nurses and doctors. Without good teachers we have generations of fucking morons who would do somthing crazy like vote us out of Eroupe........ oops. We wouldn't have nurses and doctors and have to look for them to come in from other countr........... oops.
I'm now doing PM work and basically have been for about a decade without it being called that or without me having any recognised qualifications in it. If I want to move into a more senior position though I have to have my skills ratified by a qualification... more shitty beurocracy. More hoops to jump through and lick.
My Mrs has 3 degrees and doesn't have the common sense to work out where the fucking whisk blades go into the bottom of an electric whisk (happened today)... I told her I wouldn't help and 10 mins later she fathomed it out. This girl is intelligent and studious..... but in reality she is dense as fuck. My kids are being taught to do things very diferenty.
I think we have a generation or 3 of these morons who as you say have been coached to pass tests and exams and not work out solutions or ways to learn, they simply retain info by rote. Or just expect the state to pay for you to do fuck all but exist.

Someone on telly said today that cutting school funding is 'vandalising the future'. They stopped maintaining and dredging rivers to save a quid - floods. They stopped investing in hospitals and health care education - NHS crisis. Taking money from eduction will lead to a third world Britain. If I was cynical I might even think that the ruling class actually want a country full of thick as shit wankers who will believe anything as long as it is in big bold letters and no longer than 4 words.

Like what @skiathospurs said, Education is the starting point for understanding stuff, leaving school, college or university with fancy bits of paper does not mean you are clever, but it means you have read stuff, you have the tools you need to start educating yourself properly - and start to actually understand. I loved every second, I learned more in her lessons than I have ever learned anywhere. Before her I could write down all the bits of the Krebs cycle, after her lectures I understood what the little fucker did! One teacher like her is worth a hundred mediocre teachers, sadly the education system is staffed with folks who have passed exams, have diplomas but could not teach their way out of a paper bag. I know a bloke who is a retired builder, he is a brilliant teacher, he used to teach at a local school but know they are saying he needs a teaching diploma, so all those kids who would have learned how to make things with wood, use tools, and all those useful skills will now learn the fucking theory of building and their shelves will be wonky as fuck!
Education for me should be about making sure every child can do plussing, timesing, dividing and understand percentages. Making sure they can read to a reasonable level, can write so people can understand them. Then, finding where the child's potential for excellence is and building on that - and not judging kids on their ability to remember stuff they don't understand so they can pass exams. Vocational subjects are being scrapped, Mrs D used to teach A Level Health and Social Care, her ex pupils have gone on to great things in nursing and care, they were kids who might've struggled with traditional academic subjects but the fucking government have scrapped that subject, cunts.

Vocational subjects are being scrapped, Mrs D used to teach A Level Health and Social Care, her ex pupils have gone on to great things in nursing and care, they were kids who might've struggled with traditional academic subjects but the fucking government have scrapped that subject, cunts.

The fast train to Birmingham that is costing £60bn runs past my back garden and could do so much good by not being built, and that isn't NIMBYism, it's an objective appraisal....it will just extend the London commuter belt to Birmingham, not the other way around.
