So from a UK standard point Uncle Joe seems to be doing a normal job... seems to not be a stark raving narcissist who is only interested in himself and money....
He seems to be addressing the shit trodden carpet of the white house in a pragmatic and sensible way undoing the last administrations attempt to destroy your democracy.
What's your guys take on it...? How has he done so far and what do his policies nationally and internationally look like and how will they rebuild all the bridges that fuck nugget burnt along the way?
Where has the shit weasel sloped off to and what is happening with the impending prosecutions for fraud etc.... oh and who will play him in the movie? Surely not himself?
Is Biden serious about addressing the 11,000 gun related deaths over there since Jan 1st...?
How is Covid actually being addressed over there is it still scary and killing shit loads?
I'm gonna give credit where its due as our Gvts vaccination programme has been a success.
By Monday we will have "herd immunity" here as we will have over 50% of the population vaccinated and 90%+ of those in at risk groups...
The track and trace programme is still a bag of shit and every decision they've made has been hamstrung and delayed which has caused the loss of lives.
I think so far he's exceeded the expectations of some, like me, who thought he was really a sort of caretaker. He has a very ambitious agenda--one that involves literally building bridges as part of an infrastructure program. Having been in the Senate a long time, he knows the ropes as well. I actually think there's an element of "I'm an old man, so what the fuck do I care what people think?" about his initiatives so far.
But he's got a lot of problems to confront, most of which the clown before him either ignored, created, or made worse.
Covid, as always, is being addressed unevenly. Most are still being careful, but there are some states that are completely dropping their guard, which has led to some surges. I guess the good news, as some are alluding to, is that we're seeing widespread vaccinations--the missus and I are fully vaccinated, as we work in education, and it was easy as you like to get it at one of these huge mega facilities the government has set up.
Still, there's a lot of lunacy over here, and it's not going anywhere. If I'm being optimistic, Biden has reminded people what it's like to have a leader who's at least not a complete embarrassment. But we'll see. Trump is already starting to speak publicly again, and Republicans in lots of states are passing laws aimed at making it more difficult to vote.
