We last played Millwall in the old Division One in 1990 and it was 1967 when we last met in the FA Cup. We won both games 1-0 after a replay in the FA Cup. In fact it was 1939 when Millwall last beat us, 2-0 in an old Division 2 match.

Nowadays Millwall find themselves doing well in Division 1 and in the hunt for automatic promotion back to the Championship with a string of impressive league results. Their FA Cup form is probably only second to Lincoln's in giant killing terms having knocked out Premier league opposition in the shape of Leicester City, Watford and Bournemouth.

Head to head - League
Tottenham wins - 17
Millwall wins - 2
Draws - 3

FA Cup
Tottenham wins - 2
Millwall wins - 0
Draws - 1

Referee
- Martin Atkinson

Right enough of this nonsense. We should win this, FA cup or not, playing above themselves, their cup final whatever.....we are at home and a much better team. We simply need Poch to pick a strong team and have a decent refereeing performance from Mr Atkinson. Let's get it wrapped up by half-time lads.

Now doubt there's going to be a few hefty challenges and my bigger fear is a major injury rather than whether we will win, because I think we will. There may well be a few hefty challenges in the Park lane as well as the High road...we'll see. This lot get a bit grumpy when they are let out of their box, Mr Thfcire will take care of any of their tantrums I'm sure.

Spurs 3-1 in a bit of a battle. Bring it on then move on to Wembley and the semi-finals. It will be weird having half the ground supporting another team eh...COYS!

Sunday sees Tottenham play their final ever FA Cup game at White Hart Lane with Millwall standing between them and a place at Wembley.
On paper it may look like a straight forward win for Mauricio Pochettino’s men but the famous competition has already thrown up some notable shocks so far in 2017.
Millwall have already knocked out three Premier League sides on their way to the quarter-finals and a fourth scalp would see them seal a semi-final place for the first time since 2013.
In fact, the Lions have been at Wembley for a FA Cup semi-final more recently than Spurs, so write off Neil Harris’ team at your peril.

Here are five things Spurs can expect from the visitors.

In-form team
Millwall are uneaten in 17 games in all competitions, a run stretching back to December 17.
During that time Millwall have knocked Bournemouth, Watford and Leicester City out of the FA Cup, while moving themselves into the League One play-offs.
The Lions were victorious in their last game, with Lee Gregory’s 90 minute penalty sealing a 2-1 win over MK Dons.
Harris’ side were far from their best against the Dons but the sign of a good team is one who picks up victories when not at their best.
Mean defence
Ben Reeves’ goal for MK Dons on Saturday was the first goal the Lions had conceded in 10 games.
Goalkeeper Tom King and his defence will be disappointed the run has come to an end, especially given it was a 20-yard strike, but it is still a run to be extremely proud of.
The run started in the 1-0 win over Watford in the fourth round of the cup, and it also included their late one goal victory over Premier League Champions Leicester in the previous round.
Millwall possess two no-nonsense centre backs in Byron Webster and Jake Cooper and no chances are taken with the ball in defence.
In today’s game many teams like to play the ball out from the back but Harris’ side keep it simple and clear the lines when the ball comes to them.
Direct play
Eric Dier, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld better be prepared for some long ball coming into their box on Sunday afternoon.
Throughout Millwall’s win over MK Dons on Saturday their defence looked to get striker Lee Gregory in behind the visiting defence with long clearances.
It worked on a number of occasions but unfortunately for the Lions they couldn’t capitalise on the openings.
Harris introduced striker Steve Morison just prior to the hour mark and he was targeted by his teammates on a number of occasions due to his height and physical presence.
Spurs fans will know Morison from his time in the Premier League with Norwich and if he plays the Lions will look to use his height to cause problems for the hosts.
Fine detail
Fine detail is the difference between success and failure.
Harris said after his side’s victory at The Den on Saturday that their fine detail had been exemplary in recent weeks, with the only blot on their copybook coming from Reeves’ goal.
The manager had made it clear to his players what he felt about the goal at half-time and they won’t want to risk the wrath of Harris again.
However, Sunday is a totally different prospect for his side as they come up against the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen.
Fine detail will be key on Sunday and if Millwall play as they have done since the turn of the year they will be fancy their chances.

All pubs in the area have been told no opening before 12pm :(:(

Representatives of THST attended a routine meeting at the Metropolitan Police’s Lambeth Headquarters on Wednesday evening ahead of Sunday's FA Cup Quarter Final with Millwall. Representatives from Millwall supporter groups, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, British Transport Police and the Football Supporters’ Federation were also present.

All were keen to ensure the focus on the day is on the football itself and ensuring that fans wanting to enjoy their match day would be able to do so.

The police presence on the day will be visible. The police approach will be to look to engage with supporters and take positive action if required. Fans without tickets are advised not to travel to the game.

Full information on transport will be issued by both Clubs ahead of the match, and it was noted that a section of the London Overground, along with Northumberland Park station, will be closed. Fans are advised to check their routes in advance.

Pubs in and around Tottenham will be operating with normal licencing hours. Most pubs have decided to open to home fans only for this fixture, including the Antwerp Arms and the Irish Centre.

The following pubs around Liverpool Street have elected to close on Sunday:
  • Hamilton Hall
  • Kings Arms
  • Railway Tavern
  • Red Lion

Fans with tickets for this fixture are reminded to bring their correct membership cards with them and be prepared for enhanced checks at the turnstiles. Dogs will also form part of the searching regime on the day.

In addition to normal road closures, home supporters leaving the south side of the stadium after the match will be diverted along Bromley Road, rejoining the High Road just after the No.8 pub (formerly the Bell and Hare).

That is some scary shit right there.....Millwall haven't been eaten for 17 games and that includes a run stretching forward 9 months.....we haven't got a chance regardless of how hungry we are, they are aren't going to be eaten for another 9 months yet.

We can't even get a drink....unless we go to a supermarket or pub near Liverpool street and buy loads of beer there, which will put us in a great mood for a scrap. But I doubt anyone will think of that.

Anyone with trouble in mind will have their nosebag on anyway.

I cant see why its not a full on PL line up from us,or do they need 14days of rest?
Some brightspark said they couldnt believe it was 27 yrs since a competative match between us,well have we been relegated in that time?there are 91 other sides possible to draw in the league cup and several thousand in the FA cup so the odds on that would be.....oh fuck off long so its not a suprise is it?dont remember us playing brentford either,or barnet, what about crewe,nope.......not a suprise is it.

But we did play Marlow once...and I lost £10.00 at the wycombe game betting on it.

I agree, we should play the goalmachine until we are 3 up after 42 minutes and then rest 3 of them at 60 minutes, before they kicked to shit, namely Dele, Kane, Toby. Janssen, Winks and Wimmer can do the job for the last 30 mins, even if they let 1 in with 5 mins to go. Millwall ain't Barcelona are they.....?

I'm usually a purist when it comes to rule changes, but I have to say I like this one. Though of course they oughta just have a replay anyway...

I know we do a bit of chat about refs/laws,the player going off for a blood injury infuriates me,we should have a law like rugby allowing blood substitutions for those minutes.Gotta say I still think it should be replays to the death like before, but thats how the game i grew up with was.Im not a fan of penalties,so unfair in finals especially. But I accept it.

Yeah that's why I like the extra sub--it allows the manager to throw on some pace or a sort of Plan B striker with fresh legs, maybe avoid penalties. I have to say that I do enjoy penalties when its not us in them--so tense and dramatic. And, as you say, often unfair.

Jordan Archer our former reserve goalkeeper was in goal for Millwall when they beat Leicester in the last round. Unfortunately he's been injured more recently and may not get the chance to play tomorrow.

Just be ready at 2.00pm on Sunday for a robust game, played at 100mph for the first 30 minutes with a lot of direct long balls played into the box. Jan, Eric and Toby will need to be on their heading game. Good luck lads.

Looking forward to this, although got a feeling its gonna be from my tv. The enhanced checks at the turnstiles are making me all antsy now as @Wotspur is being kind enough to let me use his daughters membership card !

Would like your opinions if you think it's worth chancing it.

Looking forward to watching this one today. I hope he puts out a strong line up out to start, we can hopefully get ourselves a few goals up and give some fringe players a bit of time.

I'd love to get the goons in the next round!!!
