Watched the new series on the RNLI the other night. Those blokes deserve the knighthoods and rewards not useless fucking actor lovies. Risking their lives to save people for no pay. Remarkable people. The filming is incredible, the blokes (and blokesses) are wearing cameras and you can see just how terrifying being in bother at sea can be.
People need to be aware of the power of the sea, I have had a few issues diving, getting caught in a current and ending 4 miles form the dive site was a bit scary, even in calm Indian Ocean waters, luckily the skipper of our boat knew the currents and came and got us. I have been taken for a ride by rip currents - they are really common off the UK shoreline, caught in fishing nets and attacked by a shark! OK, the last one isn't true, I have dived with 13 different types of sharks including Tiger sharks, and have never been attacked, one of them got grumpy and started to buzz a group I was leading so I got them back to the surface and we lived. I have been attacked by Titan Triggerfish a few times, they are cunts, but you're not likely to get attacked by them in Great Yarmouth.
Don't let you kids go out on on the sea on lilos or those stupid boats you get in Argos and when you see red flags, that means don't be a silly fucker and go for a swim or you might drown.
What was this thread about? Oh yeah, TV shows, the lifeboat series 'Saving Lives At Sea' is well worth watching!

Mrs Dorset is back to school next week and she has given me that look. I've just finished watching the last series of Narcos. Bloody triffic telly that was! Best thing since The Wire I reckon. I reckon they could do 'The Great Colombian Snort Off', get the cartels together in a tent with Paul Hollywood to see who can do the nicest lines, the loser gets 'sent home' in one of the fridges.
To be a bit political, how many thousands of people have been killed by the stupid 'war on drugs' which has been going on for over one hundred years without the remotest chance of the feds winning? How many millions of people have been put in jail for drug offences? People might not like drugs but the drug war only makes it possible for gangsters to make billions on a product that costs fuck all to make. Prohibition didn't work with alcohol, it just filled the Mafia thugs pockets and killed thousands, it doesn't work for dugs, it just makes more people dead than the actual drugs do. Ooooh but drugs make you mental, so does alcohol. Humans have been using drugs and alcohol for thousands of years, the feds will never stop that, so maybe a sensible drugs policy and legalisation would mean folks knew what they were using and not so many people would get fucked up using fuck knows what? There would also be income from taxation which would pay for treatment for people who had damaged themselves using drugs - like there is for alcohol and smoking , which kills way more people than drugs. The cost of policing would go down massively as Plod would not have to deal with crimes committed by people having to pay £100 for something worth a quid and they wouldn't have to waste all that time busting folks for growing a fucking plant? Fucking obesity kills people, but we don't have cake cartels and people being gunned down for buying Greggs pies.

Was recommended Ray Donovan by a mate last weekend, it's absolutely brilliant and am totally addicted to it. Got to the penultimate episode of season 1 and those cunts at sky dropped seasons 1-3, not happy!

Finish watching Liar last night, I thought it was a 3 series thingy, so Recorded them all and watched them only to find out there were 6 so had to record next 3 , and watched them all last night......yeah pretty good.

Narcos is the very bollocks of the dog mate, I feel a gap in my life now, like the widening chasm between us and the scum, there is no more Narcos, I expect they will make another series but historically it just can not be, brilliant telly Narcos is.

blacklist redemption i gave up on,was like dr pepper lite vs coke version of 24.Designated survivor is ok,after a few episodes you stop thinking of him as jack bauer.Shooter first seasons were good,meandering a bit atm.I would take banshee mate,v good and they buried it after 4 seasons instead of trying to drag it out.

Seriously I really enjoyed Black Sails, right up until the last 10 minutes, the writers must have thought, fuck this for a game of buccaneers we're getting the sack so I can't be fucked writing a proper ending. I have spoken to other TV and Film Critics and they do not agree with my assessment, but they are cunts so i don't give a fuck who they think - oooh, just like real life!
Peaky Fucking Blinders is coming back! That will fit my Narcos gap! I gave up on Ozark after 4 episodes, it didn't press my buttons. I am currently in the minded of series 4 of Bobs Burgers, I like that. Maybe it's about time to re-watch The Wire again, it must have been a year since the last time I watched that.
Here in holiday world the only Ingerlish TV is ITV and we have been watching the Avengers, I used to like that in the 70's but it is so naff it's almost good, like William Shatner's drug fuelled pop songs, so bad they are brilliant, and Peter Wynyard, me and a mate used to collect LPs that were so completely terrible that they crossed over into genius.
