Thanks for another brilliant season Poch, third, second, third, unbelieveable times for us to be honest, especially when you consider the wealth and managerial talent of those around us, quite remarkable really.

Great post match conference as well, very brave, possibly tactically brilliant and we all hope Levy responds in the right way. It would be fantastic to move forward into the new stadium as a strong unit together. Let's hope so.

That statement is already 'viewed by some' as some kind of threat or ultimation and talkshite radio is already trying to link him to other clubs. What bollocks.

One big fear, although I don't think it will happen - Chelsea.

I read no hint of threat whatsoever, what I did read was an encouragement and an urge to take the steps necessary to go up another level.

I think it's simply a matter of publicly forcing Levy's hand to get what he wants. After three years of working magic I can't blame him. He knows we're one or two great players away from winning things. Much easier to add a player or two than to rebuild a team from scratch if everybody bails. You see, Daniel? You need to spend money to make money.

I just don't get it. It sounds positive but I still get a weird vibe from this.

Poch has said numerous times that he & Levy talk on a daily basis & that they have a "terrific" relationship.

If the above is true, then surely they have discussed their short & long term plans going forward & there is no need for this type of wording in a public announcement. In other words, you'd think Poch should state that "this is our agreed plan going forward". If they haven't discussed it, isn't he kind of backing Levy into the corner thus potentially jeopardizing their relationship. I don't think Levy likes that kind of shit.

Unless this all has been discussed & this is all just a smoke-screen ie will Levy or won't Levy back him?

If you want to play conspiracy theories, then how about - Levy promises Poch £Xm for Summer transfers plus whatever he gets from player trading, all agreed. Then Levy gets a bill for Stadium overrun costs and calls Poch. 'Sorry mate but the Stadium has gone over, bloody builders have nicked your Summer funds...'

Poch thinks this is bollocks, let's rattle the cage a bit, I've just got third and Champions League again, he's not going to get it any better and we've trousered hundreds of millions over the past three years, with a big revenue increase to come.

Why would he go to Chelsea ???
I always think Pochs grasp of the English language is why there is so much misinterpretation. I dont think he said give me money or I am gone. I also think he says he is still here until the manager sacks him
We will see how summer pans out. I am relaxed I think we will all be pleasantly surprised when September comes

lol, he's not going to Chelsea. Crap supporters and a wee stadium. difficult owner and some unhappy players. The only PL team that will ever tempt him will be United. Once Mourinho leaves we could have issues. If not United, than Real. Otherwise he's ours (I hope).

PSG is the other one. I read in the click bait media, because I can't help myself, that he also wants a new contract. We've all gone a bit money mad all of a sudden.

If Poch's target and project from Levy was to get into Champions League, then he's done it and done it well against the odds, spending little money. Levy will know this.

PSG appointed Tuchel Yday.

This is just sky driving up a market for skybet now the season has ended,if anything it merely strengthens Poch`s hand when dealing with Levy regards signings.Sky falling back on clowns like merson&dennis wise to talk sense on this sham rumour.

I think Poch has meetings with Levy this week to discuss Summer strategy, transfers etc. etc. i know that he has been at the training ground this week and involved in the hotel build there.

I guess we should expect some form of leaks from Friday onwards when Poch goes back to his house in Barcelona, personally I'd be happy with a few lovey dovey shots of him and Levy at present. If Levy pulls the rug from under him in any way, back tracks on any agreements, verbal or otherwise and Poch takes a hike, that would seriously harm my support for the club. I know I'm only one amongst millions and this is a conspiracy theory, but if true, it would kill everything that's been so recently brilliant, for me.

I'm not expecting Poch to be given ridiculous sums or to start paying players £200k a week, but we have to sign a couple of players at the very top level and give those here a pay rise. It's all achieveable with CL qualification and the increased revenue from various channels. A combination of that plus the existing young players improving and we'll be well set.

rumour is deals for his backroom staff already agreed, but a preference to renew some more players before announcing Poch.Nothing to worry about with Poch, more chance of me managing chelsea than him,i`d love the chance though,id have them in the irn bru southern league in a matter of years.

I agree... it seems like we've been saying it for years on end but it does seem that if we don't throw our fucking hat in the ring this year, and stick our neck out a bit and actually have a proper fucking crack at doing somthing great... it may all fizzle out to fuck all after this.

I'd rather go out having given it a serious crack that just having made up the numbers for a little while...

'It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory.'

If I was Poch if slap this quote down on his desk before we started talking...

Pochettino: "I am honoured to have signed...as we approach one of the most significant periods in the club's history & be the manager that'll lead this team into our new stadium. This is just one of the factors that makes this one of the most exciting jobs in world football.
We are already making plans to ensure we continue to build on the great work that everyone has contributed to. Daniel and I have spoken at length about our aspirations. We both share the same philosophies to achieve long-term, sustainable success ,"

Daniel Levy: "We have been on an extraordinary journey and the times ahead look even more exciting as the club enters the next phase in its history. Mauricio has fostered an incredible spirit in the team and has embraced a style of play our fans have loved watching."

Brilliant news! I expect us to go big in this window now. I’m sure his signing is a sign that he’s got the assurance from Levy, that he’s prepared to relax the purse strings a fair bit.
